I was quite unwell for a few days, confined to my room. Finally, as I started to feel better, I suddenly felt like I wanted to eat a parfait. A chocolate parfait. A proper chocolate parfait. So, as part of my recovery, I made my way to Ginza. In my mind, the perfect parfait that came to mind was the one from Pierre Marcolini. If it's a weekday, it shouldn't be too crowded, but they mentioned that they would only seat us once everyone in our group had arrived. By the way, the seasonal parfait at that time was grapefruit-based. This time, I will be trying the standard chocolate parfait. Wait, did it get smaller?! It was already a simple parfait to begin with. I always thought the seasonal parfait was small when I ordered it, but this time, the standard one seemed smaller too. It costs 1980 yen. The bananas were just right, not too soft or too firm. They were deliciously chewy. And the unsweetened whipped cream. The chocolate cream was so rich and tasty! Despite being so rich, it wasn't bitter, but rather sweet and delightful! But apparently, there is some caffeine in the chocolate, so be careful not to eat too much. Huh. With all the chocolate festivals this year... While thinking about that, if you have it as a drink, it's just one cup, right? The ice cream, well, it's not just chocolate, but the vanilla has lots of vanilla beans and it's delicious. A very satisfying chocolate parfait. It may be small, but it's so good!
