Chadolbagi??? I couldn't even imagine what it would be like because it was my first time, but I was absolutely confident that it would be delicious, so as the reservation date approached, my excitement increased day by day!! Gion Matsuri, Yoiyama. Among the hundreds of thousands of people gathered, we finally arrived at the shop with great effort! The staff at the shop were already selling something in front of the store, and they welcomed us with great enthusiasm when we arrived!! First, we ordered two servings of Chadolbagi! We also ordered kimchi and lettuce! Excitement at its peak! The manager lit the fire, swirled the oil until it warmed up, added the dashi egg and sprinkled some green onions. At this point, I was already ecstatic!! The meat rolls were placed on top of the pot and as the heat slowly seeped in, the meat rolls unrolled. Once cooked, they were dipped in a sauce with mild green chili peppers and rolled up with a crunch! So delicious!! I couldn't resist! One more piece!! With the dashi egg! With the grilled lettuce! With the kimchi! I devoured it in an instant! We also ordered additional beef tongue, grilled octopus, and shank!! And more endless dashi egg!! The tongue, octopus, and shank were all amazing!! Completely satisfied! I regret not having eaten such delicious food before in my life! The manager is also wonderful! The staff is also wonderful! I am completely fulfilled! Please open a branch in Tokyo!! We are waiting for you!!

Second visit. Once you try it, you'll become addicted! You'll crave it again when you remember it! The first time I went, I didn't know that you could have unlimited refills of the egg mixture, so I missed out. The second time, I ordered a lot! If I had to ask for more, it would be great to have more individual Korean dishes so I could try all the spicy ones at once. I will definitely go back again!

I visited during lunchtime at around 11:35 AM. There was no wait. I had the Chadolbagi and Tyragi clam set meal (¥2,800) with a foreign beer (I forgot the name, sorry). The restaurant is located near Hankyu Karasuma and is a 5-minute walk from Shijo Station. I heard from a friend that there is a unique place here where you can try Chadolbagi, which means "marbled beef belly" in Korean and usually refers to grilled beef in its home country. At this restaurant, the meat is cooked on a griddle surrounded by a moat-like structure, and you first grill the meat and then dip it in beaten eggs mixed with leeks and dashi. The beaten eggs with Kyoto leeks have a salty taste, similar to sukiyaki but with a different flavor. The eggs become like a tamagoyaki as they cook, so they are also delicious on their own. This time, I tried the Tyragi clam set, which included meat, clams, and eggs, following the recommended way to enjoy the dish. Personally, I think the clams are optional and the meal is enjoyable even without them. During lunchtime, the Chadolbagi main dish comes with rice, kimchi, and meat soup. The restaurant welcomes solo diners, making it a great choice for solo travelers. It was a delightful meal with a beer in hand at lunchtime. Thank you very much! ☆☆☆

Chadolbagi specialty store seems to be unique in Japan, and I enjoyed the food! It was my first time trying it, and at first, the staff showed me how to cook it. We went on a Friday at 6:30 PM and it wasn't crowded. We ordered brisket for two, shrimp mayo, meat sui, changja, and drinks. The Calpis was rich, and the cider and cola came in bottles. The meat sui had a gentle flavor and was very delicious, and the shrimp mayo had a unique taste that I enjoyed. The chadolbagi was, of course, delicious. The location of the restaurant is a bit hard to find, so I recommend giving yourself some extra time if you're a first-timer. However, when my young couple visited, we felt like the staff's attitude was not very welcoming. Maybe because we were young, or maybe that's just the concept of their service, I'm not sure. They would bring out the menu without saying anything, and when serving the dishes, they would just say, "Here you go, this is the ___." If you don't mind that, then it's fine. When we left the restaurant, they did smile and see us off.

Oh, the upstairs neighbors are so noisy. I want to complain. I went to a place called Brisket Roni in Kyoto where you can enjoy Chadolbagi, which is brisket cooked with eggs and other ingredients. The restaurant is located just off Shijo Street, where there are many nice shops like Sugari. Each table has a stove with a duct, and there are also seats on the second floor. In addition to the famous Chadolbagi, they also serve dishes made with Omi beef, various appetizers, and dishes using brisket, which is the main ingredient in Chadolbagi. This time, I ordered the famous Chadolbagi with a set of turban shells. The beef is thinly sliced and cooks nicely on the grill, especially when dipped in egg or wrapped with turban shells. The sauce has a mild chili flavor, giving a refreshing taste. Grilling lettuce on the hot plate where the beef fat drips is also quite enjoyable. Grilling different cuts of meat like tongue can offer a different experience.

I came to Kyoto to visit a specialty bird skin shop, but I arrived too early and had some time to spare, so I decided to have a drink here while waiting. Looking at the menu, there were so many tempting dishes, but I resisted and ordered Changja, draft beer, and highball to pass the time. I will definitely come back next time! (Posted on 3/25)

This was my first visit, so I was taught how to grill the meat. The meat was thinly sliced for easy eating, and I enjoyed it wrapped in special soy sauce, wasabi & salt, scallop and dashi egg, pickled mustard greens, and wasabi. The hamburger and sausage were also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Good evening ( ̄Д ̄)ノ I'm going to the second stop of my drinking tour!! This time, it's Briskerony-san, a Korean-style yakiniku restaurant that I've been wanting to visit for a while! The area near the restaurant was like a post-festival of the Gion Festival, with floats on display! After seeing the floats, feeling a bit lucky, we headed to the restaurant down a narrow alley. Let's go in♫ There were about 4-5 round table seats, and since it was relatively empty, we sat at the table farthest back. Let's check the menu. I wanted to try the Chaldobagi, thinly sliced beef cooked in a Genghis Khan-style iron pot and served with broth and egg to dip the meat in. I ordered the Scallop Set for 2600 yen, which came with scallops and pickled vegetables. I also ordered some Kimchi for 350 yen, and of course, a draft beer for 500 yen. While chatting with the staff, I enjoyed my beer. The staff kindly cooked the meat for us. Here you go~ the meat is cooked♬ Chaldobagi Scallop Set, Kimchi, draft beer total 3450 yen. First, I dipped the meat in the sweet and sour soy-based sauce and took a bite. Delicious ( ´艸`) I then dipped it in the broth and egg. Next, I tried it with salt and wasabi on a small plate. It was also quite tasty. I then added the scallops and pickled vegetables and enjoyed it. I also lightly grilled the Kimchi on the edge of the pot before eating it, and it was delicious. I enjoyed eating it in my own way. I wanted to have more beer and try other dishes, but this time, I'll end it here. I'd like to try grilling and eating other types of meat next time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!! P.S. This is the end for me, a music fan. Stay tuned for the next installment of my food adventures! Debuuuuul ( ̄Д ̄)ノ Man is here!! Enjoy♡

The day after my gourmet trip to Nara, I decided to visit a restaurant in Kyoto that I had been eyeing on Instagram. The restaurant seemed popular, with customers going up to the 2nd floor even though it was only around 5 pm. The 1st floor had high counters for a quick meal. The restaurant is called "Chadolbagi," which serves Korean-style grilled shabu-shabu using brisket, a cut close to the front leg of the cow. They use a Genghis Khan pot to cook the meat along with a broth-soaked egg at the base of the pot. The brisket is cooked and topped with abalone, then sprinkled with mustard greens and salt for a delicious combination. The abalone set is especially tasty. The restaurant also offers toppings like spicy chili peppers and kimchi for added flavor. I would love to come back and enjoy more of their delicious meat options. Highly recommended!

I wanted to try Brisket Ronnie so bad! I made a last-minute reservation on Friday and was able to go. This was a new sensation in food! The combination of meat and shellfish flavors makes it easy to eat like a snack. It was perfect as a side dish for drinks. I definitely want to eat this again.

Ordered Chadolbagi (brisket, egg dashi), non-spicy chili pepper and Kujo negi sauce chijimi, garlic toast, chicken karaage, and unlimited egg dashi. It was my first time trying Chadolbagi, but it was delicious. Ordering too much might get boring. The unlimited egg dashi is so delicious that I ended up ordering it multiple times. It has a great taste as it absorbs the flavors of the meat oils.

Brisket Ronnie✰✰✰ I went to a Kyoto gourmet restaurant for a meat feast~ Of course, I tried the signature dish, Chadolbaki⋆⋆ It's a dish that combines grilled shabu-shabu and eggs, which seems to be common in Korea... We also tried Turban shell with three people (^_^)/ The dipping sauce for this dish was amazingly delicious✨ It had a unique texture and flavor, not too spicy, with a refreshing garnish. When you eat the rare grilled meat with the grilled egg, you'll get hooked ⤴︎⤴︎⤴︎ We also added a hamburger and curry as additional items٩(◜ᴗ◝ )۶ The beef sukiyaki bowl for lunch looked incredibly delicious, but I'll try it next timeᐟᐟᐟᐟ The master cooked it during a quiet time, so it tasted even better. Thank you very much. I'll definitely try the lunch menu next time I visit Kyoto⤴︎⤴︎ Please check out my other reviews as well: Takumin's Gourmet Diary Eatery Log @takkun9009 Instagram @takumin8888 Brisket Ronnie ☎️ 075-746-7954 434-4 Kiyamachi Kudaru Kiyamachi Nishiiru Koyashikodachi, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto ==========

Brisket RONY is a slightly quirky yakiniku restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station in Kyoto. They serve a dish called "Chadol Bagi," which is made with brisket meat rolled with dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelette) and tairagi (pen shell). It was absolutely delicious! The meat, which is typically fatty, was not greasy at all and paired perfectly with the tairagi and dashimaki tamago. The dipping sauce had sliced lion's mane chili peppers which added a unique flavor when wrapped with the meat. We also tried the beef cutlet, meat tofu, and meat sukiyaki, and everything was so tasty that we wanted to keep eating more and more. The restaurant is located in a stylish, hidden spot, making it a great find! ✨

Monday at 4:00 PM, no prior reservation. This restaurant is located in a very Kyoto-like area that you would never find if you didn't know about it! We tried a dish called Chadolbagi, which is not very well known in Japan but commonly eaten in Korea! - Chadolbagi ¥1700 per person - Tairagi clam set ¥2600 - Unlimited dashi tamago (egg) ¥550 - Brisket beef cutlet ¥700 - Hamburger ¥700 - Draft beer ¥500 - Shochu highball ¥550 - Oolong tea ¥450 Chadolbagi is like grilled shabu-shabu in Japan! It is cooked on a high central iron pot similar to the one used for Genghis Khan. You can add unlimited dashi tamago to the sides. Then, the thinly sliced brisket, which has been processed into a round shape using a special freezing method involving electromagnetic waves, is placed in the center and grilled. By the way, a few years ago, a certain frozen food from a convenience store significantly improved in taste, probably because they introduced this freezing technology! (Seems expensive) Brisket is part of the beef front belly. It has a moderate marbling but is not too fatty, and it has a rich flavor that spreads with each bite! Since it is fresh Japanese black beef, it is best not to overcook it and just enjoy it as it is. Mmm, it really is as described, not too tough but with a rich flavor that spreads! I spread it too much and became Ryoko Hirosue... Sorry, I tried to be funny even though it wasn't funny. Let's get back to the topic! The special chili pepper floating in the sauce, which looks like a chili pepper but has the texture of a leek, is not spicy and has a crunchy texture. I really like this crunchy texture! You can top it with the Tairagi clam we ordered as an extra or with pickled vegetables, or change the flavor with wasabi... everything is delicious! It's so light that you won't get tired of eating, so you can eat a lot! This is exactly what the restaurant wants, hehehe. This beef cutlet made with brisket and the hamburger were also incredibly delicious. They also offer lunch, so for lunch, you can go for a quick beef cutlet! The Chadolbagi lunch for ¥1500 is also a great deal. The location is like a hidden gem, it looks great, and most importantly, the food is delicious (which is obvious but important). It's definitely worth a visit... Next time, I'll bring my friend to Chan-ne in Gion! Someone, please cover my cabaret club fee...

♡【Briskelony】♡ Korean-style grilled shabu shabu in Kyoto ♥♡ I was taken to "Briskelony" - a Kyoto-based specialty shop for black-haired wagyu brisket ( ⋅֊⋅ )‎و The 1st floor seating area had tall chairs like those at a bar and tables with stoves, perfect for 1-3 people to enjoy a meal together ( ˊᵕˋ )♡ The specialty here is dishes made with brisket, a cut from the shoulder that is slightly tough but has a fine texture and bursts with flavor as you chew ( ˶˙ᵕ˙˶ )︎ The meal starts with a Genghis Khan hotpot with rolled omelette and garnishes like green onions - a perfect beginning to a delicious barbecue experience! The omelette soaked in the meaty broth is incredibly tasty and could keep you entertained for hours at the restaurant ( ˊᵕˋ ) The restaurant also provides a Genghis Khan pot to make the most of the rich fat from the brisket. The original dipping sauce with mild green chili peppers enhances the flavor of the brisket, making it an unforgettable dining experience ( ˊᵕˋ )♡ The brisket with the special sauce is a match made in heaven - the savory meat and light dipping sauce complement each other perfectly! Simply divine~₍₍ (ง •ᴗ• )ว♡ Name: Briskelony Reservation: Available Access: 314m from Shijo Station (Kyoto Municipal Subway) Business hours: 11:30-22:00 (Last order at 22:00, closes at 23:00) Closed: Irregular holidays (usually open all year round) ♡#Briskelony #Chadolbagi #ShijoGourmet #KyotoGourmet

I visited the restaurant around 12:05 on Sunday. There were two groups and one person already seated on the first floor. I ordered the Chadolbagi set meal for 1500 yen. The main dish was Chadolbagi (black wagyu brisket) with 6 pieces. It was a bit small, so I wanted to order more, but the additional serving was 1700 yen! The egg with broth was delicious with plenty of green onions sprinkled on top. It looked great, but the outer part wasn't cooked evenly, so it didn't burn even if left unattended. The seasoning included a special sauce, rock salt, and wasabi, but I ended up using too much. The meat was also very fatty. The special sauce had plenty of bell peppers and green onions, and it was very tasty. The kimchi was delicious when grilled. There was a small amount of meat in the soup, but it was tasty. I wanted to add more meat and rice.

Beef sukiyaki bowl for 900 yen with a side of meat soup (mini egg soup). The beef bowl had tender and flavorful meat, with a sweet and savory sukiyaki flavor. However, despite the sign saying "meat soup," it was mostly egg-based. It felt a bit misleading. Also, the chairs at this bar-like restaurant were uncomfortable for me as a big guy. That's on me though.

One day during lunchtime, I decided to revisit this specialty store that serves black wagyu brisket. The second floor seemed to have some customers, but the first floor had a relaxed atmosphere where I could enjoy my meal in peace. I noticed a few customers getting takeout. This time, I ordered the most popular item, the Black Wagyu "Gyusuki Don" (beef sukiyaki rice bowl) for 900 yen. The "Gyusuki Don" is like a sukiyaki-style rice bowl, with a refined flavor that feels like a luxurious beef bowl. The tender beef with just the right amount of marbling, topped with a warm egg and pickled ginger, was a delightful touch. It's no wonder this is the top lunch menu item with such comforting and delicious flavors. It also came with a satisfying beef soup. I can see myself craving this dish again when I least expect it. Thank you for the delicious rice bowl.

I found something and made a reservation right away to treat everyone to a celebratory lunch. I thought we could have fun here while enjoying our meal. The meat was thin and shrunk when cooked, so it lacked substance. I ended up feeling full from just eating rice and meat. I should have ordered more dishes, but I felt like the meal ended too quickly after having the set meal. Next time, I'll make sure to order more meat so we can enjoy it without any interruptions!

I forgot to take photos, but the meat dish I ordered at the end was incredibly delicious. Also, there were too many sherbets, and the cost performance was amazing!
