I went to a newly opened oden restaurant after seeing a post by an Instagrammer I always follow. The atmosphere was natural and relaxed, with comfortable table seating similar to a cozy family restaurant. We started with a Kyoto plum wine sour for 600 yen and a Kyoto plum wine on the rocks for 680 yen to cheers. We tried the "Okonomiyaki with Fish Roe MAX" for 2480 yen, which was fluffy and cake-like, with a burst of texture and sweetness from the fish roe. The "Okonomiyaki with Mountain Delicacies" for 2180 yen was also fluffy and had a French-like appearance, with a mysterious sweetness coming from basil-infused herb butter. We also enjoyed the "Assorted Oden Platter with 7 Varieties" for 1520 yen, including dishes like daikon with mushroom sauce, cheese hanpen, red konjac, and more. The dishes were unique and delicious, especially the cheese hanpen. We also tried the "Niçoise-style Salad by Okoshiyasu" for 450 yen, which was flavorful and refreshing, with a delicious mayonnaise base. The "Crispy Grilled Chicken Thigh" for 560 yen was fragrant and tasty. We ended the meal with a "Fresh Fruit Lemon Sour" for 780 yen, with one mango special and one peach & peach, which felt like a tropical dessert. Mentioning the Instagram post got us the dessert for free, which was a nice surprise. I recommend trying the Okonomiyaki with Fish Roe MAX, the Oden Cheese Hanpen, and the Niçoise-style Salad. Overall, this new restaurant is worth a visit if you're in the area.

Here, you can enjoy creative oden, teppanyaki dishes, and unique okonomiyaki! Here's what we had today: Niçoise-style Salad Scallops and Asparagus Butter Sauteed Oden with 7 varieties: - Beef Cheek: Tender with a bit of chewiness, enjoyed with grain mustard, almost like French cuisine. - Red Konjac: A surprising discovery of how well Dijon mustard goes with Shiga's specialty red konjac. - Daikon with Duxelles: Daikon topped with a French-like sauce, perfectly tender. - Thick Fried Tofu - Soft-Boiled Egg with Ufumayo: Perfectly cooked half-boiled egg with mayo sauce, a great match. - Thick Fried Tofu - Tomato Basil: Sweetened tomato with basil sauce, perfectly cooked. Okonomiyaki "Yama no Sachi" (Mountain's Blessing): A luxurious dish with Wagyu steak piled high, topped with special mayo and basil sauce. Okonomiyaki "Umi no Sachi" (Sea's Blessing): Scallops and shrimp generously piled on top, with special mayo and Américaine sauce. The okonomiyaki may look small, but it has a thick and fluffy texture, similar to a soufflé pancake. The drinks were also top-notch, especially the Fresh Fruit Frozen Special Lemon Sour. The frozen fruit cubes slowly melt, creating a delicious sour taste. I really love this flavor! The restaurant has a stylish interior, and each dish is meticulously prepared, both delicious and visually appealing. I was very satisfied and will definitely visit again when I return to Kyoto! I'm curious about the creative oden! You must order the 5 types of oden, they are all delicious. The vegetables really hit the spot. I also ordered the seafood okonomiyaki, which was not only visually appealing but also delicious and fluffy. For dessert, I had mascarpone cheese ice cream with grilled fruits and ice cream. The grilled fruits and ice cream were popular, and I can see why. They were delicious and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. Definitely worth a visit!

I wanted to eat the weekday limited okonomiyaki and oden lunch, so I finally visited the restaurant on a weekday. However, to my surprise, it was the grand opening day of the restaurant's renewal. The okonomiyaki and oden I wanted to eat were not available, so I ended up trying the newly introduced hamburger instead. I had the Kyoto pork 100% hamburger lunch set. The set included the main hamburger and a vegetable plate as an appetizer. The vegetable plate featured grilled vegetables centered around Kyoto's local vegetables. The dressing was also homemade using Kyoto carrots. It was a satisfying meal for vegetable lovers.

Located right next to the bus stop at Kawaramachi Sanjo, this restaurant also serves lunch. The menu includes okonomiyaki and other dishes. Today, two women enjoyed beer and oden. Kansai-style oden uses light soy sauce, while Kyoto-style oden uses a broth made from kombu and bonito with light soy sauce added. We had thick-fried tofu and red konjac, as well as scallop and asparagus butter-grilled as additional dishes.

On December 1, 2022, I was seated at the counter for lunch, and it was almost full at that time. I thought about ordering okonomiyaki, but ended up asking for the limited curry. The curry arrived in just a few minutes, which was relatively fast. Later, I saw another customer receiving their lunch, which seemed to be okonomiyaki. As for the taste, you can really taste the dashi in the curry. It has a good umami flavor, but it might be a bit salty. The curry itself is simple and has good value for the price.

I went to the izakaya "Kyomachi Bar Okoshiyasu" located in Kawaramachi, Kyoto! This restaurant offers a unique new sensation with their special okonomiyaki and creative oden made with Kyoto dashi and américaine sauce. I enjoyed the assorted oden plate (1580 yen), Fish Roe MAX (2480 yen), and Wagyu Beef MAX (2880 yen)! The oden with américaine sauce had a rich shrimp aroma and is highly recommended! The special okonomiyaki was so delicious with its amazing sauce! You should definitely try it once! I made a reservation because I wanted to try something a little different. The menu is not extensive, but the selection of oden is a bit unique, and the okonomiyaki has a stylish touch. The rare red konjac oden is visually appealing and delicious, highly recommended! The daikon duxelles is almost like Italian cuisine and pairs well with wine. The unusual lamb skewers have a slight gamey taste but are tender and flavorful. The basil octopus skewers had small octopus pieces and were a bit dry, making me crave the more traditional Japanese-style octopus in broth. The unique okonomiyaki can be ordered in a half size, which is convenient. The mayonnaise generously spread on top is delicious! The Italian-style twist was fantastic. The okonomiyaki batter was fluffy and light, even in the half size portion. The luxurious beef on top was not only fancy but also delicious with its rich flavor. The wine selection includes light and heavy options, and there are cute frozen fruit chu-hi drinks, making it a great choice for a girls' night out.

While on a business trip in Kyoto, I discovered this intriguing okonomiyaki on Instagram and decided to try it out. It was the thickest okonomiyaki I had ever seen, but surprisingly light and easy to eat, almost like a pancake. The oden that was cooking while we waited was unexpectedly delicious, and I left feeling satisfied. I used to think that only casual eateries like oden shops were worth trying, but this place proved me wrong! I would love to come back and try their chilled tomato oden again.

I visited the restaurant for the 1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY Campaign and ordered the limited 5 bottles of sparkling wine. I also enjoyed a creative assortment of 7 types of oden, which paired well with the wine. The oden broth was delicious and unique. The tonpei-yaki was also tasty with a sweet sauce different from the usual one.

The visuals are certainly good and the taste is good as well. However, the oden is lukewarm. It might be intentional but I prefer to eat oden hot, like paired with hot sake. The okonomiyaki is delicious but it doesn't exceed expectations visually, so I think a little more creativity is needed. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a standing bar where you can enjoy a set of snacks and drinks for 1000 yen. It was a great deal as I got 3 skewers of oden and a drink for that price, and the oden was delicious. I also ordered a grilled rice ball as a finishing touch, which had a nice smell and tasted great.
