I went to eat yakiniku because my friend made a reservation for us. There was a time limit of 2 hours. We ordered special negitan x2, abara (kalbi), harami x2, whole garlic foil grill, premium horumon (lean meat) x2, regular horumon (offal), medium rice, and draft beer. I forgot to ask for the receipt, but the total for two people was ¥16,170. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I finished work early in Shijo and was invited to dinner. The dinner location was left up to the other person, and we ended up walking from Shijo to Jujo... When we arrived, we went to Yakiniku Hayashi Karasuma store, a place I had been curious about near my previous workplace. Upon entering the restaurant, they checked if we had a reservation, showing that it was a popular spot. We started with a bottle of beer and ordered kimchi and salted tongue. The kimchi had a nice sourness to it, which I enjoyed, and the salted tongue was a unique style where you season it yourself. We also added harami, upper horumon, and kalbi. At Hayashi, when you order the meat with sauce, you mix the meat and sauce together before eating, which enhances the flavor. It had been a while since I had Korean-style yakiniku like this, and it was quite delicious. It was a bit hard to tell which meat was which since they were all mixed with sauce, but before we knew it, the restaurant was full. There was also a counter seat in the back. It seems to be a chain restaurant with various affiliated stores. Kyoto night. We visited here for dinner near the hotel. I ordered the Negi Shio Gyutan based on the reviews that said the beef tongue is delicious. It has a good flavor with garlic in the spice. Delicious. We also ordered Kalbi, which is marinated in sauce, so you can eat it as is after grilling. The kimchi is also delicious with just the right amount of spiciness.

In the past, I had visited this restaurant a few times and I still remember the intense impact of the sauce at that time, so I was looking forward to coming here this time. The smell was great even while the meat was being grilled, and when I tasted it, the flavor of the sauce came through strongly with a hint of miso, making it incredibly delicious. I will definitely come back for more.

I went to Yakiniku Hayashisan in Karasuma, Kyoto. This area has many Korean barbecue restaurants, so I wanted to try it out. I ordered Makgeolli (Korean rice wine), Negitan salt, Harami (skirt steak), Hormone (intestine) red meat, and garlic. The Harami and Hormone were served mixed together on one plate, but I wished they were separated. There was plenty of garlic, and when eaten with the meat, it was delicious! I ended up eating almost a whole bulb of garlic.

Around 5:15 PM when we arrived, there were a few customers in the restaurant. I noticed the tips for grilling written on the back of the menu after a while. It seems that it is recommended to grill all at once on the net, not one by one. The system was such that the net would not be replaced unless you ordered a certain amount of servings. The seasoning of the meat was very delicious and different from other restaurants. The portion of the tongue salt was quite satisfying even for one person. I ordered Akasen, and it was softer and fattier than what I usually eat, making me wonder if I got it confused with something else. The truth remains unknown. The total cost for two people was 8,700 yen. I would like to visit again. There are parking lots next to the restaurant and across the road, with the one across the road being cheaper. Just a little tip for you.

I revisited Yakiniku Hayashisan in Kyoto, Karasuma Jujo. It's a popular restaurant, so I made a reservation just in case, but it was not crowded due to the pandemic. We were recommended to sit at a spacious 6-person table, even though there were only 2 of us. We started with a large bottle of beer and ordered a kimchi assortment, tongue with salt, and liver for each person. The tongue with salt was delicious, and the fresh and tender liver was amazing when grilled just right. We then moved on to grilling with sauce, ordering hormone, skirt, harami, and kalbi, along with Korean seaweed. Everything was delicious. We couldn't decide which was better between the two types of hormone. We also had a few glasses of barley shochu with water. This branch is located on Karasuma Street between Kujo and Jujo, so be careful not to confuse it with the other branch in Jujo. I will upload more information about the menu in the future since there is not much available online. It was really delicious. I will definitely visit again when I come back to Kyoto. Thank you for the meal!

Visited Yakiniku Hayashi in Kyoto, Karasuma Jujo. I used to frequent the store in Muromachi Ayakoji as it was close to the apartment I used to live in, but this was my first visit to the Karasuma Jujo store. We ordered Tan Shio (tongue with salt), Kalbi, Harami (skirt steak), Kimo (tripe), Jyo Horumon Miso (beef intestines with miso), and a Kimchi assortment. We also ordered a large bottle of Sapporo beer. Cabbage sauce and shredded vegetables were served as appetizers, which went well with the cold beer. The beer was deliciously cold. The Kimchi assortment arrived and was very tasty. The Tan Shio arrived next. We were given salt to season it to our liking, so we lightly salted it, quickly grilled it, and squeezed lemon juice over it. Delicious. The other marinated meats arrived soon after. I'm not sure which part each one was, but we grilled them one by one and they were all delicious. The sauce was sweet and savory, perfect for rice, but I switched to barley shochu with water and continued eating. It was incredibly delicious. Yakiniku Hayashi is amazing. The portion size for each meat dish was generous, and the barley shochu with water came in large glasses, with just the right amount of alcohol. I had six glasses and finished them all. I spoke with the owner at the end, and he mentioned that the Ayakoji and Toji stores are also run by siblings. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today's dinner was also yakiniku. Exhausted, we ended up having a lot of yakiniku. Yakiniku Arata is located across from Yakiniku Hayashi, or maybe it's the other way around, with Arata being older. What surprised me was that while the tongue dish came out on its own, the other grilled meats we ordered all arrived mixed together on one plate. Being suspicious by nature, I couldn't help but wonder if they were trying to hide the cheaper cuts in the mix or if they were trying to make it hard to tell how much of each meat we received. However, I felt like the portion was actually quite generous. In this situation, it was hard to gauge how much one serving was, so in the end, it came down to how satisfied we were with the meal versus the amount we paid. I couldn't quite tell what I was eating, but I felt like the price and portion size were fair. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't forget the taste of the special Negitan salt I had eaten in the past, so I visited the restaurant after a long time. It was about a 20-minute walk south from Kyoto Station, which I enjoyed as a stroll. The nearest station is Kujo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line, and it is about a 5-minute walk south from here to the restaurant. When I entered the restaurant, I was guided to a spacious tatami room where I could relax comfortably. Yakiniku Hayashisan also has other branches such as Jujo, Shijo, and Toji, each with slightly different menus. At this Kujo branch, you can enjoy the special Negitan salt! While enjoying kimchi with beer, I waited for about 10 minutes, and then the special Negitan salt I was looking forward to arrived! After grilling it for about 30 seconds with the traditional one-side grilling method, I sprinkled the special salt with a garlic flavor on the fragrant meat and when I put it in my mouth, the umami of the special salt with garlic spread throughout my mouth. This special salt has a secret flavor that you can't taste at other restaurants. It goes really well with white rice. The beer kept flowing, and I just couldn't stop. Also, Hayashisan's yakiniku doesn't come with a sauce. The meat is already seasoned, so you can enjoy a rich flavor even without sauce. The assorted hormone platter has thick cuts of meat overall, and the strong and spicy seasoning is very impressive, making it a perfect match with beer and white rice. Since all Hayashisan branches are concentrated in Kyoto city, it would be fun to try different branches and find your favorite one. Thank you for the delicious meal!

If you want to eat delicious yakiniku sauce in Kyoto, this is the place to go! The rice goes down so smoothly!!! Sometimes I really crave it. The meat itself is ..., but no matter what you say, the sauce is so delicious that I'm completely hooked!!! The taste may vary slightly depending on the store, but rest assured that all the stores are delicious! LOL I get a strong urge to go there in the summer. Good taste! Good atmosphere! Good service! Thank you for always serving delicious meat. Thank you for the meal.
