Located just a few minutes' walk from Hongo-Sanchome Station, "FIRE HOUSE" is a popular burger joint that is always bustling with people. Despite the current trend of high-end gourmet burgers, this restaurant, established in 1996, has a long-standing reputation. Their burgers feature thick, juicy patties sandwiched between crispy yet fluffy buns, creating an authentic and delicious experience. With a wide variety of menu options, you can customize your order to suit your preferences. The sandwiches are also popular among customers who prefer them. Although there may be a wait due to its popularity, it is definitely worth lining up for one of the top burger joints in Tokyo.

I visited around 7:00 PM on Sunday! The restaurant was full and busy, but I was seated without much of a wait! I chose the Teriyaki burger, which came with fries and pickles. It was filling but not heavy, and so delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and I would love to visit again! Thank you for the meal! ~

It's been about 15 or 20 years since I last visited Fire House in Hongou. I ordered the Mozzarella Mushroom Burger and milkshake. The tower of mozzarella and mushrooms was impressive visually. The coarse ground meat patty was very juicy and the mayo generously spread on top matched well with the cheese. The establishment's long-standing reputation was evident in the delicious taste. I often travel by bike or bicycle, so I tend to choose restaurants that offer milkshakes.

Firehouse @ Hongo Sanchome - Clam chowder is a must-have. The weather has cooled down a bit in the mornings and evenings, but it doesn't feel like September at all. Feeling under the weather? I felt like having a sauerkraut hot dog, so I came here after a long time. My favorite clam chowder was the perfect accompaniment for hydration. It's only 300 yen for lunch. Now, here comes the sauerkraut hot dog - a mound of sauerkraut piled high, which is great! However, eating it is quite a challenge. I could only eat it neatly for the first bite, and then it became extremely difficult. The sauerkraut kept falling off, making it a struggle. Plus, there was no space to add pickles or mustard. Eventually, I had to remove the sauerkraut, cut it into bite-sized pieces with a knife, add mustard, and then put it back on top to eat it. Phew, it was delicious! I've visited a few times before, but I only had a hamburger on my first visit (laughs). I'm a strange customer, but please take care of me. Next time, I'll try the chili dog!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so I visited around 1:30 pm on Saturday. I was prepared for a long line, but surprisingly I was able to enter without waiting! Inside the restaurant, there were young couples, families, energetic senior groups, friends, and various other customers! I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, Apple Burger, Onion Rings, and Ginger Ale. The total bill came to around 5,700 yen. I ordered the Apple Burger that I was curious about from the reviews. Soon, the Onion Rings arrived and they were deliciously crispy! I enjoyed them with the ketchup and mustard on the table. Then the Apple Burger arrived! I couldn't imagine what it would taste like, so I was looking forward to trying it! When I took a bite, the thick apple was pleasantly sweet and surprisingly, it went well with the burger! The hint of cinnamon was aromatic and delicious! The meat was juicy, and eating it with the apple made it refreshing! The side pickles and potatoes were also tasty. The portion size was not too big, so even women should be able to finish it! I highly recommend the Apple Burger that you can't find elsewhere!! The food arrived in about 30 minutes, and there were about 4 groups of people waiting in line at the restaurant! I was lucky not to have to wait. I would love to visit again someday. Thank you for the meal!

Located near Suitengumae Station, Kasuga Station, and Hongo-sanchome Station, along Kasuga Street, is "Fire House". Established in 1996, this restaurant is considered an important establishment for Japanese hamburgers, predating the rise of gourmet and craft burgers. Alongside "Brothers" and "Fungo", it is one of the top three burger joints in Japan. The restaurant exudes an old American atmosphere, truly embodying the essence of hamburgers. The menu offers a variety of options, making it hard to decide. After consulting with the staff, I settled on the Mozzarella Mushroom Burger priced at 1,859 yen (with French fries). The homemade buns are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sauce, consisting of mustard and mayonnaise, is simple, allowing the flavor of the patty to shine through. The coarse-ground patty, made from Australian lean meat and domestic beef fat, is bursting with beefy goodness. Cooked to perfection, the patty has a crispy exterior and a rare, juicy interior. The Mozzarella cheese is creamy and mild, complementing the juiciness of the patty. The thick-cut fries are seasoned well and delicious. The pickles add a refreshing touch to the meal. Be careful as the patty and mushroom juices may spill out while eating. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!

Firehouse, a long-established hamburger restaurant in Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. I had seen this place featured on TV as the origin of gourmet burgers, and ever since then, I had been longing to visit. During the planning of this trip, I found out that this restaurant was near Tokyo Dome, so I immediately decided to have dinner here. After witnessing the Giants' victory, I walked from Tokyo Dome to visit the restaurant. I was worried that it might be crowded, but luckily there were empty seats inside. Lucky me! The restaurant has a cool American diner vibe. While flashy diners with red benches and tables are nice, this subdued atmosphere is also great. It gives off a feeling of an American bar. Yeah, it's good! You can feel the history of this place from the atmosphere. And the smell when you enter the restaurant is also amazing! Since they grill the patties on a hot plate, the smell of the meat is strong. When I opened the menu, I was surprised by the huge variety of options! Not just hamburgers, but also hot dogs and sandwiches. And all of them look delicious. The visuals of the photos are all incredible! I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up ordering the following: Bacon Cheeseburger Grilled Ham Egg Cheese Sandwich Draft beer Orange juice Apple juice The patty in the burger was amazingly delicious! It's coarsely ground and full of juices. The inside of the burger bag was soaked with juices. The buns are made with natural yeast, giving them a fragrant taste. The Grilled Ham Egg Cheese Sandwich was massive! It wouldn't fit in my mouth even when fully opened. I had to press it down with my hands and eat it vigorously! It was so delicious! A very wild sandwich! The crunchy walnuts in the bread added a nice touch. The hamburger shop I had been longing to visit after seeing it on TV. The taste of the food, the atmosphere of the restaurant, everything was top-notch. Thank you for the meal!

Before the Giants game, I had a Bacon Cheeseburger for 1770 yen and a Coca-Cola Zero for 420 yen, both excluding tax. The burger was so big that it was hard to take a bite, but it was a fantastic burger that impressed me from the first bite. It's located about a 10-minute walk from Tokyo Dome, so if you're coming to the Dome, I highly recommend trying it out.

I visited during the daytime on a regular day. There was no wait, but the restaurant quickly filled up with customers one after another. It was good timing that I arrived. The exterior of the restaurant gives off a West Coast vibe, and the interior is spacious with a cool layout that allows you to see all the way to the back of the kitchen. There were people in suits, travelers with suitcases, and even some foreign visitors. I ordered the cheeseburger. It was huge! The fries were freshly fried, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and delicious. Just the fries alone are worth trying. The burger had perfectly baked buns that paired well with the patty. The patty was cooked just right, juicy, and flavorful. The cheese was not overpowering, making it a classic burger. It's a bit challenging to eat due to its size, but they provide knife and fork, so you can eat without getting your hands dirty. It was so delicious. I understand why it's so popular. It's in my top 3 burger rankings. I will definitely go back!

I visited this restaurant which I had been curious about while coming to watch baseball at the Tokyo Dome. It's close if you're coming from Hongo Sanchome, but about a 10-minute walk from Suidobashi. This time, I ordered the most popular Bacon Cheeseburger and a cola. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The buns have a crispy edge and provide a unique texture when you take a bite. Two types of cheese are used, offering a deep flavor. The patty is slightly rare, allowing you to taste the deliciousness of the meat. The restaurant also spaces out the seats, allowing you to focus on your meal, which is much appreciated. It was a good restaurant experience.

I went around 3 pm on a regular day. I was able to get in right away. I had an avocado burger and onion rings. The meat had a strong flavor, and the bread had a hint of sweetness, making it very delicious. I dipped the onion rings in ketchup, but they were already seasoned so they were tasty even without ketchup.

I visited around 2pm on a weekday. There was a wait for one group, but I was seated in about 10 minutes. I couldn't decide what to eat, but ended up ordering a simple double burger. It was fun to watch the burger being made on the grill. The taste was amazing. It was similar to burgers eaten locally in Guam, but even better. The pickles were delicious, with a whole pickle in each burger.

It feels like quite some time has passed since my last visit. I went to "Firehouse," one of the top burger shops in Tokyo. This shop has been operating since the 20th century and is known for being a training ground for many burger builders in Tokyo. It has a cool American diner vibe. I didn't have to wait long to get in smoothly... The ceiling fans were spinning leisurely. The menu is extensive, making it hard to decide... But today, I chose the "Apple Lover Burger." Despite being tempted by the "Avocado on Burger," I stuck to my original choice. The build starts from the heel side... Vegetables, patty, apple, mozzarella in that order. On top of the patty, there's cinnamon-flavored sweet stewed apple and mozzarella. The sight of the mozzarella melting out of the buns is enticing. I took a big bite, almost dislocating my jaw with how neatly high the build is. The fresh lettuce, flavorful tomato, stretchy mozzarella... The patty's presence is also amazing. The elasticity and rich meat juice supporting the basics of a meat dish burger. The groovy gravy, a mix of apple, cinnamon, butter... creates a taste similar to imagining an apple pie but different. It's like an incredibly stylish meat pie... It's no wonder that many people praise it and consider it a burger shop that one must return to as the origin. Thank you for the meal. *Since you'll get a lot of different essences on your hands, the provided paper napkins won't be enough. It's recommended to bring your own hand towel, wring it tightly with water, and use it. It's an essential item for enjoying heartily and extravagantly!

We visited the restaurant with two people before 5:00 pm on the weekend. There were 4 staff members, living up to its reputation as a popular restaurant. There were plenty of empty seats, and we were quickly seated at a table for two at the back. We ordered a cheeseburger for 1661 yen, an egg burger for 1551 yen, a Caesar salad for 715 yen, and some draft beer. The beer and salad arrived a few minutes later. The salad was quite generous, which was nice. A few minutes later, the burgers arrived. The meat and vegetables were delicious on their own. However, the buns were thick, making the burger feel bun-heavy. The total came to 4576 yen, which is not cheap.

It's always delicious! Thank you. I recommend sitting at the counter and watching the meat being grilled while eating. If you have room in your stomach, definitely try the fried chicken too! It goes well with beer.

Arrived on Saturday at 11:25, there were no customers waiting ahead of me, but the restaurant was full so I had to wait a little. I was lucky as more customers arrived after me and I was seated after a 5-minute wait. I ordered a Cheeseburger for 1,661 yen and an Iced Cafe Latte for 462 yen. Surprisingly, my order was served in just 5 minutes! The buns were soft and hot, almost too hot to hold. The finely chopped onions added a nice texture, and the acidity of the tomatoes was just right. The patty was well-seasoned and deliciously meaty. The combination of cheese and egg was excellent. The flavors were exactly to my liking and it was very delicious! I sat at the counter and could see the kitchen the whole time. The staff worked efficiently and quickly, which explained the fast service. They immediately started grilling the buns and patty on the hot plate after I placed my order, which I now understand is the secret to their delicious and fast food. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal.

Around 10:30, when we arrived, one group had already signed in on the guest list and was waiting. We ordered a Mozzarella Mushroom Burger and a Budweiser. The kitchen staff took our order. The moment we took the first bite, we were impressed by how delicious it was. Thank you for the meal. We would like to visit again.

This restaurant in Hongo was still crowded even in the afternoon. They have a huge variety of hamburger options on the menu. I chose the Apple burger, and although I was torn between that and Avocado, the sweet and sour flavor of the Apple paired perfectly with the beef. The service was also very fast, making it a great choice for those who want to eat quickly and easily.

I finally visited the famous gourmet burger restaurant. I arrived at 11:10 on a weekend, and the entrance rate was about 40%. There was one person sitting at the counter out of 5 seats. I didn't order any drinks, but they offered water. After about 4 minutes of ordering, the fried cheese sticks (803 yen including tax) arrived. They were mozzarella sticks with a nice touch of watercress, not too gooey with a firm texture. They came with ketchup and mustard on the table, which added extra flavor. Soon after, the apple burger (1,793 yen including tax) arrived. The combination of apple compote sweetness and patty saltiness was delicious. The patty was thin and had a medium-rare texture with some redness inside, probably made of 100% beef. The burger also had plenty of lettuce and mayo. I didn't choose to add fried cheese to the apple burger, which turned out to be the right decision. The restaurant had a stylish and retro American vibe. The staff were friendly and had an American retro look, making the atmosphere enjoyable. There were plenty of seats available until around noon. It took about 45 minutes from entering to finishing the meal. They accept payment with QUICPay.

This Tokyo gourmet burger joint, a pioneer in its field, has a very stylish exterior and interior that feels like a movie set. The menu is extensive and choosing between all the options was a tough decision. In the end, I went with the "Chili Cheese Burger"! It arrived in about 10 minutes and looked delicious. The hot buns, juicy patty, overflowing cheese, and beans were amazing. The burger was accompanied by pickles and fried potatoes, making it a complete meal. I put it in a bag, lightly pressed it down, opened my mouth wide, and took a big bite! Washed down with a beer, it was a winning combination. If this place was closer, I would definitely be a regular customer, but since it's a bit out of the way, I'll have to come back regularly to try out all the different menu items. Thank you for the meal!

Hamburger Top 100. I visited on Friday at 12:30, the seating rate was around 60% but it became full in about 15 minutes. Since it's summer vacation, there were families with children, so maybe the busy times are shifted? It had been a long time since my brother drove me here, so I decided to order the basic hamburger for 1290 yen (tax included 1419), lunch soup clam chowder for 300 yen (330), and lunch drink Coke Zero for 240 yen (264). The Coke Zero arrived right after ordering, followed by the clam chowder. The Coke was generously poured, and the clam chowder had a potato taste in the soup. By the time I finished the soup, the hamburger arrived. The buns were crispy and the patty was thick and juicy with a good balance of tenderness and firmness. It was delicious, even though it had been a while since I last had it. I noticed that the hamburger also had tartar sauce in it, which added to the taste. I enjoyed dipping the fries in it until the end. The total bill was 2013 yen including tax, and I was able to pay with a card. Actually, I initially tried to visit a restaurant called hide mode, which was the last day of lunch service today, but it was already sold out by 12:25, so I searched for another top 100 restaurant nearby and found this one. It was disappointing that I couldn't go to hide mode on its last day, but it was lucky that this restaurant was near the Fire House.
