A popular authentic bar in Kagurazaka, known for its overwhelming popularity. It opens at 2 pm and is open on Sundays, making it a pioneer in daytime drinking bars. The owner and bartender is a master who became the world champion of cocktail competitions, being the first Japanese to do so. During this season, the must-try cocktail is the Mojito. They use Havana Club 3-year-old white rum generously, without adding sugar, and lining the bottom of the long glass with thick slices of lime. They also use plenty of mint leaves, making it a textbook Mojito. When it comes to Sherry, they recommend La Ina Manzanilla, one of the best Sherries produced in the Sanlucar region. It has a sharp yet rich flavor profile. Another recommended rum cocktail is the Nevada, made with Caribbean white rum, which is easy to drink. As for whiskey, they offer a single malt from the Isle of Skye, known for Talisker. The 10-year-old Talisker offers a classic and delicious taste. When it comes to Sherry, Sanlucar in Andalusia, Spain is the place to be. The owner, who is the first Japanese to win the world championship in cocktails, is also the first Japanese to obtain the prestigious title of Venenciador in the world of Sherry. While there are many great restaurants in Kagurazaka, when it comes to cocktails and Sherry, this establishment undoubtedly ranks as the best in Japan.

After work, I went to a bar for drinks. It's a bar that has been selected as one of the top 100 bars. I always drink bourbon when I go to a bar. I had a punchy KNOB CREEK and a fragrant Four Roses. I was able to relax and enjoy the great atmosphere of the bar.

I went to another place with the person I was with. We have tried to come here several times in the past, but it was always full and we couldn't get in. This time, when I called, they said they could accommodate us at a table, so we visited. The atmosphere of the restaurant, as well as the bartender and staff, were truly top-notch and left a lasting impression. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I had been curious about the number one bar in the national rankings on Tabelog for a long time. I visited around 2pm after eating at a soba shop. The interior was mostly white, and the bartender was also wearing a white suit or vest? I found out that he used to work at a bar in Ginza, and although I have only been to the new location, there was a similar atmosphere. Since it was midsummer, I ordered a Watermelon Salty Dog. It had a smooth and refreshing taste. For my second drink, I had something like a Peach Daiquiri. The space had a light atmosphere rather than a heavy one, and even though they opened at 2pm, there were three other solo customers. The drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was not about trying to impress or seduce, but rather a good place to simply enjoy the drinks.

I finally made my first visit to this restaurant, which I had been wanting to visit before the Bon holidays. The place had an open seat when I stopped by, and the hospitality was outstanding. Even though I don't drink much, I was able to enjoy seasonal fruit sake with my eyes and taste buds, and ended up staying longer than I had planned.

I called to see if Kagurazaka Matsuri would be crowded, but they said it was okay, so I went to the restaurant. It was still calming. I tried a cocktail called Arcadia, which uses egg yolk. It's an original from San Luca. It was incredibly delicious! However, it made me incredibly drunk! It's vodka-based, so I ended up leaving feeling very tipsy.

We visited the San Luca Bar with my wife at 6:50 pm, during the "Kagurazaka Matsuri" festival. We were worried it might be crowded, but luckily two seats at the counter were available. This place offers custom cocktails based on the customer's preferences, incorporating seasonal fruits. There is no menu, so you can either study cocktails in advance or describe what you like to the staff. I ordered a Gimlet, while my wife chose a Passion Fruit-based Daiquiri. The presentation of the cocktails was impressive, with large ice cubes and detailed explanations of each drink. I later tried a Manhattan cocktail with whiskey, which I enjoyed. The bill came to 6600 yen for both of us, with a 1000 yen table charge per person. The hospitality and the skill of the bartender made the experience priceless. Thank you for the wonderful service.

I revisited a sushi restaurant for lunch, but it ended early, so I made a reservation by phone 30 minutes before my planned dinner in Kagurazaka. This bar has long reigned as one of the top establishments nationwide on "Tabelog" with a rating of 4.34 as of July 2023, exuding the aura of a champion. It is run by a humble master and an assistant, and I enjoyed three drinks all featuring rum: 1) Havana Martini, 2) Passion Fruit Caipirissima, and 3) Mango Daiquiri. The drinks were all well-made, with the second one adjusted to perfection in sweetness after consulting with the master. The only downside is that reservations are only available for 14:00 and later.

This bar, which is ranked number one on Tabelog nationwide, is a rare find that opens from 2pm. I have never been able to visit on weekends as it is always fully booked before dinner time, even when I call. Reservations are only accepted from 2pm, the opening time, and they start taking reservations a week in advance. I visited on a weekday after work when it was not crowded, so I ended up having four drinks. I had a Gimlet Highball, an Adonis, a Million Dollar, and an original cocktail. The Gimlet Highball was a refreshing choice for my first drink. The Adonis is my favorite standard cocktail. The Million Dollar was a cocktail with egg, so I chose an original cocktail from the menu that used egg yolk. It was a dessert cocktail made with melon liqueur, coffee liqueur, egg yolk, and shaved chocolate. The snacks included dried mandarin oranges, seaweed-wrapped rice crackers, and edamame. I think that was all for the food. The bill came to 7,000 yen for four drinks. While I usually prefer fresh fruit cocktails, at this place, I find myself wanting to try more of the classic cocktails. It's a recommended authentic bar when you feel like having the king of all standard cocktails.

The weather seemed like it was going to rain. I stopped by this bar on a whim once again. For me, dropping by this bar is like testing my luck. I usually go alone, and it's often full or only has table seats available. But on this day, there were only two people sitting at the counter.
- Jack Rose: Since it's not the season for pomegranates, they made it with the usual recipe. It's refreshing with a hint of lime.
- Champagne Cocktail: I felt like having something with champagne, so I asked the bartender for a recommendation and he suggested this one. As the sugar cube dissolved, the flavor and sweetness changed in a mysterious and enjoyable way.
- Bloody Mary: They made it by shaking, adding a few drops of their original island chili spice for a pleasant spicy kick. Next time, I might ask for it a bit spicier.
No matter how many times I visit, this bar is always wonderful. Bar time is not just about enjoying drinks, but also about spending time with oneself. Thank you for the meal!

Located right by Kagurazaka Station, Sanlucar BAR is an authentic bar that opens at 14:00. The interior is not very spacious, but it offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can take your time at the counter. It's a great place to visit after lunch or for an aperitif. The master of the bar has experience winning a cocktail competition, making it a must-visit spot. On a hot day, I enjoyed a refreshing "Caribou" cocktail made with pineapple, as well as a "Bronx Terrace" cocktail with a strong lime flavor. Both were perfectly crafted to suit my preferences. Thank you for the delicious drinks!

Bar in Kagurazaka "San Rucar Bar" Talisker Distillers Edition I had tried Talisker 10, Storm, and Port Ruighe before, but this was my first time trying the Distillers Edition. It is double matured in Amoroso casks, a type of sherry, adding a fruity sweetness to the distinctive peppery flavor of Talisker, making it excellent. I've been ordering more cocktail-based drinks at bars lately, and the Rob Roy is a whiskey-based cocktail similar to a Manhattan, but with a higher ratio of sweet vermouth, giving it a stronger sweetness. Personally, I prefer Manhattan or even a Gin and Dry Vermouth-based Martini. However, it had been a while since I last drank a Rob Roy, so it was a good time. #SanRucarBar #Kagurazaka #Bar #Whisky #Talisker #RobRoy #Scotch #ScotchWhisky #DryFruits #KagurazakaBar #KagurazakaDate #KagurazakaGourmet #BarHopping #Gourmet #Foodie #TokyoGourmet #GourmetReview #Tabelog #TimeDifferencePost #TokyoGourmetReport #GurufakuCertifiedAmbassador #Japan #Tokyo #Kagurazaka

My bar life started here. So, the taste of alcohol here sets the standard for me when I drink at other bars, which can be unfortunate. This is because the gimlets, mojitos, and gin and tonics here are truly exceptional, and the atmosphere is so cozy. I've been coming here for almost 10 years now, and the owner has remained the same, just like Tamori-san, which surprises me. It's a unique bar where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the world and steal some time for yourself. There are no snacks, only charm rice crackers, so be aware of that.

This is a top-rated bar that I visited during my tour of 100 famous bars. I was lucky to get a seat on a weekday night when I dropped by without a reservation. The place has 11 seats, including a counter and 4-person tables, and has a bright and stylish atmosphere. I ordered the "Melon and Chocolate Chip Original Cocktail" and the "Gimlet." The original cocktail was like a sweet dessert cocktail with melon flavor and chocolate chip texture, very delicious. The Gimlet, a signature cocktail of the bar, was refreshing with a slightly strong alcohol content, and also very tasty. The bartender was very dedicated and friendly, which I think is why this place is so popular with good reviews. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I revisited "San Luca Bar," a restaurant located in Kagurazaka, a town I want to stop by during my walk. It has been selected as one of the top 100 bars on Tabelog in 2022. It is located about a 3-minute walk from Kagurazaka Station on the Tozai Line, exit 1. The restaurant is on the first floor of the building facing the main street, called "K's Place." It opened in June 2010. The interior is an adult space with a brown color scheme. There are 7 glossy counter seats and table seats. The bottles are neatly displayed in the back of the counter. The owner and bartender, Mr. Shinbashi Kiyoshi, is a graduate of a famous bar in Tokyo. In addition, he is a talented bartender who has won the title of the world's best in cocktail competitions. Today, I had the following cocktails:
- Grapefruit and Cranberry Cocktail: Served in a low glass, it has a beautiful pink color and is a drinkable cocktail with a moderate acidity.
- Mint Julep (shared): This cocktail is refreshing and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness in the refreshing taste. I would like to revisit again. Thank you for the meal.

I'm not very knowledgeable about alcohol, but the staff kindly asked me what kind of flavors I like and recommended a great combination of fruit and liquor. I had a fun time trying their recommended cocktail with strawberries and cranberries, which was made with gin. It was delicious and easy to drink, with a whole strawberry used in the cocktail.

Exiting from Kagurazaka Station on the Tozai Line and crossing the street, I was lucky to get a seat this time after being turned away last time due to it being fully booked. It was probably a miracle. The spring weather made me sweat a bit, but starting with a gin and tonic made with Beefeater was smooth, and the large lime was a nice touch. For the second drink, I had a martini with Beefeater and Noilly Prat, which was just okay. I'd like to come back when the owner is around.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Kagurazaka Station, "San Luca Bar" is a popular bar that always has a steady stream of customers. The bartender at our bar has been crowned world champion in the past and is highly regarded as the best in the country. You can have a cocktail made to your liking at our bar, but the most popular cocktail on the menu is the Gimlet, a gin-based cocktail with a dry taste and a rich lime flavor. In addition to cocktails, we also offer a wide variety of whiskies and other spirits, ranging from common brands to rare ones. Our staff members are very knowledgeable, making it a delightful space where you can spend hours just talking about the different brands we offer.

A elegant bar where you can drink in the afternoon. You can make a reservation only at 2 p.m., so I decided to make a reservation after finishing lunch. Located near Kagurazaka Station, this street has few taxis, but it's convenient because you can easily catch a train. I've been turned away several times due to it being full, but finally managed to get in, which made me happy. The bar has a warm atmosphere with a wooden counter. They are beginner-friendly with a variety of menu options, allowing you to choose your favorite drinks or try different kinds of alcohol. It's fun to watch them make the drinks and you can choose based on what you see. I enjoyed the White Lady, Manhattan, and Moscow Mule. The dried mandarin oranges for snacks were surprisingly delicious. It's a great place to relax and enjoy delicious drinks after finishing lunch. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. The clientele in Kagurazaka is also great, making it suitable for dates, solo visits, or hanging out with friends. We had 5-6 drinks for two people and it cost around 10,000 yen, which is reasonable. It was delicious, thank you for the wonderful experience.

Located near Kagurazaka Station's 1st exit, this bar is rated as the best in Japan on Tabelog. The owner, Mr. Shinbashi, worked at the renowned Ginza restaurants "Roogee" and "Tender" for about 20 years before opening this establishment in 2010. It is said that he used to work with Mr. Nagatomo from "Oscar" during his time at "Roogee." The interior of the bar has a calm atmosphere with warm lighting and a wood-based design. The clientele consists mainly of business owners, executives from large companies, and regular customers who love this place. Despite this, even first-time visitors do not feel out of place, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere created by the owner. It is evident from conversations with regulars that the owner is quite knowledgeable about soccer. The Gimlet cocktail is a popular choice, made with a hard shake and served with ice floated on top. It has a dry, sharp taste that gradually softens and disappears gently as you drink it. The strawberry cocktail is made by creating a nectar with cranberry juice and mixing it with rum in a short style. It brings out the sweetness and smoothness of the strawberries, resulting in an exquisite drink. The total bill for four drinks, including Gin and Tonic and White Lady, was 6800 yen. The bar has 5 counter seats and one 4-person table, and it is open from 2 pm to 11 pm, making it quite challenging to visit. Reservations can be made by phone starting a week in advance for the 2 pm opening time, and there may be available seats on weekday evenings as well. However, it is essential to confirm by phone before visiting.

I visited without a reservation as there was time available before my meal. I ordered a cocktail that was not too sweet or heavy, and had a refreshing taste, along with a simple order. I had the bartender make me a Nevada. I will visit again.
