I was planning to have a light drink at the last place and go home, but before I knew it, it was already 5:00 am in the morning (^-^; There were many regular customers at the shop, and I could really feel that it was loved by the locals. It seems like a grateful place for people in the same industry to have a drink after work. Since it was the fourth place, we didn't order much food, but I would like to visit again slowly. Today was our second visit with three friends, and the restaurant was busy with lots of customers. Despite the hustle and bustle, I asked the manager to bring out a few dishes whenever they had a free moment. We enjoyed our drinks and conversation, and surprisingly, we were served delicious hormone skewers quite quickly. Even my friend who was trying pork hormone for the first time enjoyed it.

Among those I know, this was my first time trying "yakiton" in my life. At least, it was my first time trying various parts of it. It's so delicious! When I hear the explanation of the parts, I feel a bit "cruel," but I enjoyed the deliciousness by savoring each bite.

I was drinking in Osaka and wanted to drink a little more, so I visited this shop around midnight. This shop is open until late at night and is a rare place in Kyoto where you can eat grilled pig tongue. The juicy pork skewers are really irresistible and go well with beer.

I wanted to eat yakitori but there weren't many places in Kyoto... I had given up, but I found one in Nishiiin! I didn't have high expectations, but it was delicious! I really liked it! The entrance on the second floor of the building is hard to find, so if you miss it, you might get lost. My friend recommended a pork hormone specialty shop where you can eat pig uterus, so I decided to visit. The restaurant is open from 5 pm to 6 am and has a calm atmosphere with friendly staff who explain the menu in detail, making it easy for solo diners. Unfortunately, the pig uterus (Kobukuro) I wanted was not available due to sourcing difficulties, so I ordered a skewer platter with five varieties for 700 yen, a tomato shochu highball for 400 yen, and Mimi-gar ponzu as a side dish. The staff recommended starting with easier-to-eat items, including: - Koshira (temple) salt-grilled - Kuchibiru (lips) salt-grilled - Tan (tongue) salt-grilled - Harami (diaphragm) salt-grilled - Teppo (rectum) sauce-grilled All the skewers were delicious, with no strong flavors or odors. Koshira and Kuchibiru were particularly tasty, with a good balance of fat and texture. The Tan also had a nice chewy texture, better than beef tongue. I then ordered another skewer platter with different cuts, all of which were juicy and flavorful. The tomato shochu highball was rich in tomato flavor and seemed healthy, as I couldn't stop ordering more. In the end, I wondered if drinking too much was good or bad for my body.

I visited the restaurant late at night. Come to think of it, the last time I went was also in the middle of the night. It's great that the restaurant is open until late (or rather, early in the morning). I had a plate of 5 skewers, miso cabbage, fried potatoes, grilled asparagus, grilled leeks, grilled shiitake mushrooms, tsukune (chicken meatballs), potato salad, mimi-ga (pork ear) with ponzu sauce, cheese fries, and fried dumplings. I ate a lot. Everything was delicious. What's more, it's rare to find Hoppy (a low-alcohol drink) and motsu-yaki (grilled offal) in Kyoto, so I find this place very convenient!

When I travel between Tokyo and Kyoto, sometimes I crave yakiton when I'm in Kyoto. I tried yakiton for the first time in Kyoto. Well, it's definitely delicious. Yakiton is tasty. But still, I associate yakiton more with Tokyo. Compared to the yakiton shops in the downtown area of Tokyo, it lacks in terms of portion size and price. But the taste is still really good!! I went to Nishijin, which was hot. There was a shop that caught my attention called "Butasan". Upon entering the shop, I was directed to the second floor. It was quite crowded. The menu was reasonably priced. I ordered the Hoppy set, which was a good deal. I also ordered the cabbage umami miso, which goes well with the drinks. It's interesting that they serve yakiton instead of yakitori, which is rare in Kyoto. The yakiton was grilled by a female staff member and it looked hot. I ordered another round of Hoppy. First, the karaage arrived, piping hot and delicious. Then, the assorted yakiton arrived. The plates were too cute for a guy like me! The pig's head seemed to be the specialty, and all the skewers were delicious and went well with the drinks. A tip is to dip the cabbage in miso sauce, which was also delicious. The atmosphere was nice, and it was a great shop. Although it's called the Nishijin branch, it seems like there aren't many branches around. Nishijin is definitely worth a visit.

I wanted to eat meat, but my usual yakiniku restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. So, I decided to go eat pork instead! I had never been to Butasan, a popular yakiton restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I asked the staff for recommendations and started with a platter of 5 skewers. It was my first time eating pork skewers, and as I enjoyed them with a beer, I quickly understood why they were so highly praised. The food was seriously delicious! I also tried the pork feet, which were melt-in-your-mouth tender. After that, I ordered some yakiton that caught my eye, enjoyed it with a highball, and finished my meal. This is a shop in Saiin that is open from early hours until late at night. It seems to be popular among young people, possibly students, as it is always bustling with customers. They offer unique cuts of pork and the food and drinks are very delicious and reasonably priced. It is a very convenient and enjoyable place to visit.

I always go to this place in Nishioji until around noon and I am very grateful for their service! If you are in trouble because there are no shops near Nishioji station in the morning, be sure to go there! They have a wide variety of yakitori, and I highly recommend the Kimura-kun skewers! They also have a good selection of drinks, and the highball sours are quite delicious. The owner is a lively person and can chat with you for a long time! Please give it a try at least once!

I visited Yaki Tonton Butta in Nishiin, Kyoto, near the station! It is located on the second floor of a building, and when I went up the stairs, I was amazed by the lively atmosphere - it was almost full of customers! The staff greeted me with smiles and there were many celebrity autographs on the walls, which was impressive! They had a wide variety of drink options, and the yakitori included unique cuts of meat that were grilled to perfection over charcoal. It was delicious! We went there with two people. The prices were reasonable overall, the food was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the restaurant. We ordered a decent amount for two people, but it was less than 3000 yen per person, making it a great place for both drinking and dining. As the name suggests, this restaurant mainly serves pork dishes. The pork trotters were especially delicious and melt-in-your-mouth! The grilled pork skewers were also great, with no disappointments in any dish. There are many good restaurants in Nishijin. I would definitely like to visit again when I'm in the area.
