Everyone says it, but it's difficult to get there without a car. There are 3 parking lots available. I went on a Sunday without a reservation. I was able to get in right away, but even at a later time, new customers kept coming in one after another. The chewy pizza is delicious! The menu mentioned that takeout is possible if there are leftovers (it's nice that it's mentioned from the beginning). I planned to take home two medium-sized pizzas, but ended up finishing them all. Haha, I want to go again.

I was taken to a pizzeria in the mountains near Kutsukake Inter by my friend in Kyoto. It's a bit difficult to access without a car, but they have a parking lot. The restaurant used to serve pasta as well, but now they focus on pizza. You have to take off your shoes before entering, and the seating style is quite unique with traditional tatami rooms still available. We chose a table on the wooden floor. We ordered our favorite pizzas along with a set of appetizers. The appetizer set includes a choice of appetizers, a drink, and a mini sorbet. The appetizers included Spanish-style omelette, prosciutto, green salad, caponata, carrot rapé, and chickpeas. Since there were three of us, we shared three different pizzas. The Margherita is a must-order, with a slightly chewy crust and a good balance of mozzarella and tomato sauce. The Gorgonzola Special with honey on the side was delicious, with a perfect saltiness from the Gorgonzola. The honey on top was a nice touch. The Anchovy pizza had a hint of garlic which was appetizing. We also had coffee and mini sorbets in mango, blueberry, and another flavor. The pizzas were quite filling, so the small sorbets were just right. Despite the inconvenient location, the restaurant is always busy with reservations required due to its popularity.

There is a restaurant near Kutsukake Interchange on the Kyoto Jukan Road, which is difficult to access without a car. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of and near the shop. I made a reservation about 7 days in advance, and they were only accepting customers with reservations on the day. We ordered a lunch set with pizza and appetizers for two people, totaling 5698 yen, and PayPay was accepted. We ordered the Bismarck and Gorgonzola Special pizzas, and the staff asked if we wanted to share them before bringing them out separately. I would like to make a reservation and visit again when I am in the area.

I went for lunch around 2 o'clock on a whim. The pizza had a really delicious tomato sauce. It's not often that I come across such tasty pizza, so I regret not going to this place sooner, even though I knew it was nearby. It was a very hot day, so the inside of the restaurant was a bit warm. I'd like to go back in a better season.

I ordered a pizza as part of the appetizer set for an expensive lunch, which cost an average of 2500 yen. They couldn't provide pasta that day, so I had to order pizza. The size was large and I couldn't finish half of it, so I had it packed to take home. In my opinion, the taste and price were 3.4. It's a shame that despite the nice atmosphere and taste, the staff were not very friendly or attentive.

The only downside is that it's only accessible by car, but that might also be a reason to want to go back.

On a regular Thursday, I arrived at 11:30. The restaurant opens at 11:00. I made a phone reservation at 11:20. The place was not crowded. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant, but it's difficult to park and leave, so I recommend using the parking lots below the restaurant (two spots available). The lunch set is available only from 11:00 to 14:30, where you can choose your favorite pizza or pasta as a set. I ordered the appetizer set for 550 yen (excluding tax), which included assorted appetizers, a drink (I chose hot coffee for after the meal), and a mini mango sorbet. I also ordered the Margherita Bufala for 1800 yen (excluding tax), which uses buffalo mozzarella. The total came to 2538 yen including tax. The appetizer arrived quickly, and I enjoyed it while waiting for the pizza. The pizza arrived in about 10 minutes. I only had a bite of the crust, and while it had a nice oven-baked flavor, it felt like it was missing something. The buffalo mozzarella also felt lacking. Everyone has their preferences, but I couldn't help but compare it to other top-notch places. Despite that, I still think I will come back again. Thank you for the meal.

However... it seems like they are really struggling to keep up with the demand, and the atmosphere has deteriorated quite a bit. It used to be a relaxing experience dining in the traditional Japanese room, but now it feels rushed. The staff cooking pizzas and the ones serving tables seem tense. Ordering feels hurried, and it seems like you have to eat quickly or risk getting scolded (though that might not actually happen). Everyone eats quickly and leaves. The person cooking the pizzas thanks you as you leave, but their tone seems different from when they first opened. They used to seem so happy and enthusiastic about their work, but that vibe is gone now. Maybe it's because they are focused on their craft? The food is still good. But because of the tense atmosphere, it's a bit stressful to dine there. It might be easier to just order takeout, but I worry about annoying them if I can't place my order quickly over the phone. It would be great if they could offer UBER EATS delivery service to avoid these feelings. I left feeling a bit down this time, and I don't think it was just because of the weather.

It was a proper pizza baked in a wood-fired oven. For those of us who can't eat a lot, it was very convenient to be able to choose a small size pizza. We ordered Margherita and Quattro Formaggi, both of which were light and easy to eat. Especially the Quattro may be a bit strong for those who don't like blue cheese, but this pizza uses a milder cheese so it should be okay. It was crowded even on a weekday lunch, so it might be better to make a reservation in advance.

I was recommended a pizza place in the Katsura area, and after hearing that my mother had also enjoyed it, I was excited to try it out. I climbed up a steep hill on both sides of the road and found the parking lot on the left. The exterior of the restaurant was cute, and inside, I could see pizzas and cheese being prepared, as well as baked in the oven. There were a few groups of people waiting... I was glad I made a reservation! The seating options included tatami mats and tables, giving it a cozy home-like atmosphere. The menu was a bit confusing, but I ordered a pizza ranging from 1000 to 1500 yen, along with a set of appetizers for 500 yen (including a drink and mini gelato). I can't remember the exact prices, sorry! Among the appetizers, the combination of bread and tomatoes was surprisingly delicious. The bread had a good amount of salt and was simple yet tasty. The long-awaited pizzas were huge! I ordered two cheese-based pizzas - Quattro Formaggi and Gorgonzola Special with honey - and ended up with a lot of food! But I really enjoyed the blue cheese as an accent, so I was satisfied in the end. The Calzone pizza was a bit different but very delicious! It was filled with plenty of melty cheese and topped with prosciutto. I got too full from the generous portions, so I asked the staff to pack it up for me. They provided aluminum foil and a bag for takeout. I finished the meal with tea and gelato, feeling refreshed and satisfied!
