I made a reservation and visited during the daytime. It's a place that is very Kyoto-like in a sense, and if it's your first time visiting, you will most likely get lost trying to find it as it is not easy to locate. I walked through residential alleys while checking Google Maps, but all I could see were houses. I turned right at a community center, but it was clear that I was in the wrong place. A resident asked me if I was looking for the sushi restaurant, and kindly showed me the right way. I'm sure they have helped many people who have mistakenly entered the alley. It's a narrow path that you wouldn't notice unless someone points it out. The restaurant is located at the end of this narrow path that can hardly be called an alley. The signboard comes out at the entrance of the alley when they open, making it easier to find. It's almost impossible to find the place by walking there before they open. They start serving the full menu as soon as they open, and it's been a while since I've been to a sushi restaurant with an à la carte menu, so I was pleased to see a variety of options. Unfortunately, I could only drink non-alcoholic beer as I was driving. I ordered tempura, grilled dishes, and some interesting dishes before having two non-alcoholic beers and then moving on to sushi. This restaurant is famous for its tuna, so I ordered a variety of tuna dishes. I tried akami, zuke, chutoro, otoro, and some rare cuts. The rare cuts included mekin (eye muscle), cheek meat seared, and bloodline gizzard. Mekin has an interesting texture and taste. It has a soft but fibrous texture, similar to whale tail meat or horse sashimi, with a slightly grainy texture like that of premium horse sashimi's lean meat. It has a refreshing and gentle aroma. The bloodline gizzard has a strong aroma and acidity, with a long aftertaste that makes you wish you could drink alcohol. The scallop was not the sweet and sticky type, but rather a refreshing and crispy type of fresh seafood. I was surprised to find this in Kansai. Regardless of what others may say, I do not like squid and scallops that are "sticky and sweet." I prefer them to be firm, crunchy, and crispy. The oyster tempura was the highlight of the day. It had a strong mineral taste and aroma, and not just a long aftertaste, but an eternal one. The somewhat mechanical mineral taste, the eternal aftertaste that feels like forever, is like Metel. It has a milky texture and a rich flavor like an oyster, and every time I breathe, my nose is filled with a happy scent. The visual appearance of the cross-section is stimulating and aggressive to oyster lovers, and undoubtedly delicious. However, today I did not drink white wine but non-alcoholic beer. The à la carte menu and continuous service make it convenient. There were many menu items that caught my eye, so I would like to revisit if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.
