しぇるきち
This restaurant, which opened in November 2022, has been quite popular among food enthusiasts. The young brothers in their 20s are in charge, with the older brother being from China and the younger brother specializing in Japanese cuisine. The older brother cooks while the younger brother handles the plating and drinks. The restaurant only has a counter seating. They start serving both lunch and dinner at the same time. The dinner course consists of 9 dishes for 16,500 yen, with smaller portions. The dishes include shark fin, prawns, Peking duck, steamed clams, large prawns, soup dumplings, wagyu beef in black vinegar sauce, golden fried rice, mapo tofu, Ali Shan tea, and premium almond tofu. The overall taste is ingredient-focused with a light flavor, which I personally enjoyed. The soup dumplings have crab miso inside and are made by steaming and then frying, resulting in a crispy and flavorful skin with a soft and thick texture that allows you to enjoy the skin itself. They prepare everything right in front of you, making it enjoyable and reassuring. However, the service could use some improvement. As the restaurant is new, there is room for growth, but some conversations with customers didn't quite align. Additionally, the brothers enjoy beer and may offer it multiple times even to customers who don't drink, which felt a bit lacking in consideration. The portion size is just right for light eaters or elderly customers.
