Salon Ginza Sabou is a salon in Ginza that I have always admired. Located inside Tokyu Plaza Ginza, this cafe offers lunch and sweets. The interior of the store also sells miscellaneous goods and food items, and there are plenty of seating options, including tables for 2 and 4 people at the back. Of course, the main attraction is the parfait served in a square wooden container. The Matcha Parfait is priced at 1,100 yen as a standalone item, and 1,500 yen with a drink. The drink options include iced and hot Karigane tea, roasted Karigane tea, scented black tea, Oolong tea, and organic coffee. The recommended choice is the scented black tea, but I was intrigued by the Karigane tea so I chose that. The visually appealing parfait arrived, with what I initially thought was whipped cream on top turned out to be white chocolate sprinkled with tea powder, which you break and eat to reveal the layers inside. The parfait contains mascarpone cheese, bracken rice cake, puff pastry, ice cream, chestnuts, and more, providing a well-balanced and enjoyable taste experience that doesn't get boring. The subtle matcha flavor in this exquisite dessert was delightful. The Karigane tea had a refreshing taste with a hint of sweetness, making it delicious. It seems that the lunch menu, featuring rice cooked in a clay pot, is also popular. The majority of customers were women. Address: B2F, Tokyu Plaza Ginza, 5-2-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Business hours: 11:00-22:00. Closed on: No regular holidays. Website: http://salon.adametrope.com/

When you break the matcha chocolate, you'll find a refined matcha cream on the bottom layer, along with matcha ice cream, shiratama, agar, matcha cookies, and more - even chestnuts in syrup and a rich matcha paste. I thought it would be like matcha tiramisu, but it turned out to be like this! The tea set is only 200 yen more, but you can enjoy Nara's sencha and karigané, so it's a great deal.

Yamagata pork loin ginger stir-fry set for 2,100 yen, mackerel set for 1,800 yen + change to brown rice barley rice for 220 yen. Visited around 11:30 on Sunday and got the last table. By noon, there were over 10 groups waiting. It seems rare to find a proper set meal in the Ginza area.

I had the fried chicken set meal. The white rice in the wooden box was shiny and delicious. The fried chicken was freshly fried, and there were many choices for side dishes, which was nice. The matcha dessert in the wooden box was lighter than I expected, but I would definitely like to visit again when I'm nearby.

When I visited during Saturday lunchtime, I had to wait for about 20 minutes. I thought it was a popular sweets shop, but it turned out to be a restaurant serving delicious rice and fish. The rice is "Yukihotaka," a Koshihikari rice from Gunma Prefecture. It is grown with spring water from Mount Takesan, a famous mountain in Japan. This rice is sometimes called the "phantom rice" with a moderate sweetness, stickiness, and rich aroma. The rice is served in a wooden tub, and you can choose between white or brown rice. I chose the grilled salted mackerel as the main dish. The plump and juicy mackerel, combined with the tangy ponzu sauce, enhances the deliciousness of the fish. The quality of the three side dishes (you can choose from 12 options) was also good. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. Many people seemed to order the fried chicken made with Shinshu chicken, which looked crispy and juicy. *a) Situation: - Visited on Saturday at 12:47 PM, seated at 1:10 PM - Sat at a long table near the entrance b) Service: - Efficient c) Order: - Grilled salted mackerel set meal with grated radish and ponzu sauce @ 1,850 yen including tax Note: Photography was done with Nikon Z7II and iPhone 12 mini.

Ginza Tokyu Plaza, a restaurant by the Jun Group, located directly connected to the subway. I often visit this place in the early afternoon as there is usually not much of a wait. It is a popular spot among female customers and solo diners due to its pleasant atmosphere. For lunch, you can choose between white rice or brown rice. On this day, I ordered the 1500 yen fried chicken set. The fried chicken had a crispy coating and juicy meat inside. I chose white rice and could have seconds of rice and miso soup. You can choose three side dishes from a selection, and they are all delicious. It's a great place to enjoy a fulfilling lunch without feeling rushed. Once again, the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I was intrigued by the matcha tiramisu served in a wooden box at this restaurant. When I peeked inside while debating whether to turn my late lunch into a dessert, I realized I could be seated right away. I looked at the lunch menu and found something I liked - the "Akoudai and shrimp salt-grilled set meal." The three side dishes were tomato and koji marinated, green bean with sesame dressing, and winter melon with minced meat sauce. I chose sprouted brown rice and super barley rice for my meal. I also ordered a mini tiramisu for lunch. The rice came in a wooden box, with more than enough for two servings in a bowl. I noticed that other customers were asking for refills, so I decided to try the "sprouted brown rice and super barley rice" and it was delicious! I quickly canceled the tiramisu and added a side of mentaiko. The Akoudai and shrimp salt-grilled dish was also very tasty. I really liked this place!

I visited a restaurant called "Salon Ginza Sabou" located in Tokyu Plaza in Yurakucho. They offer a special set meal called "Ginza Teahouse Set Meal" with various options to make your rice eating experience enjoyable. They use a special type of rice called "Yuki Hotaka" and you can choose between white rice or sprouted brown rice and super barley rice for an additional cost. The rice is cooked in a clay pot and served in a wooden container, and you can have unlimited refills of either white rice or sprouted brown rice. The set meal options include fried chicken made with Shinshu chicken, salt-grilled Akoudai and shrimp, ginger pork made with Yamagata pork, and grilled Kinmedai with Kyoto miso. You can choose three side dishes from a selection of twelve (additional side dishes cost 180 yen each). For drinks, you can have tea from Tea Farm Inokura, such as sencha, hojicha, black tea, or oolong tea for an additional cost. They also offer a mini parfait for dessert. I chose the fried chicken with white rice and side dishes of simmered hijiki and lotus root, simmered tarako, and sesame green beans. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the rice had a nice sweetness to it. The overall dining experience was very satisfying. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. I couldn't finish all the rice, but the two young women sitting next to me surprised me by asking for a refill of rice with a smile.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:00 AM, and within 30 minutes it was packed. The lunch prices range from 1800 to 2400 yen, which is a bit expensive, but the meal was satisfying like at a traditional inn. The "masu" parfait was delicious and you could add a mini size for an extra 550 yen.

At the café on the B2 floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza, they sell Nori Bento with three varieties: silver salmon, pork ginger, and fried chicken. They all looked delicious, but I chose the silver salmon. It cost 1,100 yen including tax. The silver salmon Nori Bento includes rice from Gunma Prefecture called "Yukihotaka" Koshihikari, which has won consecutive gold awards at the National Rice and Taste Analysis Competition. The nori seaweed is from Setouchi, grade "Maru." The tempura is made with black hanpen from Shizuoka Prefecture. It also includes rolled omelette, seasonal pickles, simmered vegetables, and is seasoned with Itoman salt. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the restaurant alone after lunchtime. I had the mackerel set meal, which came with a main dish and a choice of three side dishes, as well as the option of white or brown rice. I chose white rice and it cost me 1850 yen. The fish and side dishes were average, but I was impressed by the sweetness of the white rice. It wasn't piping hot, but it was very delicious.

I had the weekly set meal (you can choose from 4 types) ▪️ Akoudai teriyaki set meal. You can choose 3 side dishes from 12 options. I had a hard time choosing because I wanted to eat everything haha. In the end, I chose mentaiko (spicy cod roe), squid and kelp chirimen, and squid and okra salad. You can get free refills of rice and miso soup. I definitely had seconds of rice haha. Thank you for the meal.

During lunch break, I often have lunch at Tokyu Plaza. There is a select shop called "Salon Adam et Rope" on the B2 floor, so it feels a bit open and not very relaxing, but they serve proper set meals so I use it often. When Tokyu Plaza first opened, there was a matcha parfait in a wooden box at this place that was trendy because it looked like a dry landscape garden, so I went there a few times with a foodie friend I made on Tabelog. Lately, I haven't paid attention to sweets at all and just eat set meals. You can choose a main dish and three side dishes, and either white rice or sprouted brown rice. It's reliably delicious and I'm always satisfied ♡ I feel like I'm eating something good for my body, so I feel like I can work comfortably in the afternoon ꒰#'ω`#꒱ It's recommended to avoid peak lunch and tea times as it can get crowded.

If you want to enjoy a healthy set meal in Ginza, this is the place to go! You can have unlimited rice and miso soup, so even big eaters can enjoy without worry. The fried chicken had a satisfying portion and was delicious! You can choose from three side dishes, which are healthy. It's very convenient being close to the station.

I had the Tea House Parfait. It includes cornflakes, chestnuts, and puffs, offering various flavors and textures to enjoy. However, the price is a bit high. If you like matcha, you can also enjoy the bitterness. The tea was elegant and very delicious.

Japanese food is truly comforting. You can choose from 4 main dishes and 3 side dishes. I chose octopus and green onion in vinegar miso dressing, winter melon with minced chicken, okra and squid salad, and grilled mackerel with miso sauce. When you open the wooden rice container, you see shiny white rice! You can have unlimited refills of miso soup and rice! And all of this for less than 2000 yen in Ginza!?

I visited in search of delicious matcha sweets. I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and had to wait for about 3 groups ahead of me. I got in after about 15 minutes, and by 1:00, there was no more line. The parfait, priced at 1900 yen, was larger than I expected, about 1.5 times bigger. It had matcha ice cream, puff, cream, chestnut, sweet red bean paste, and shiratama (rice flour dumplings), which kept me interested until the end. It was safe and delicious. I was a bit surprised that the shiratama next to the ice cream was a bit hard on the surface, and there was no arrangement in the presentation. Overall, the taste was within my expectations for the price. I won't repeat the parfait, but the lunch that people around me were having looked really delicious, so I would like to come back for lunch.

Located on the 2nd floor underground of Tokyu Plaza is a cafe within SALON. Despite serving Japanese cuisine and sweets with a Japanese touch, the cafe has a stylish atmosphere. I have visited Tokyu Plaza Ginza multiple times since it opened, and it seems that its popularity has increased significantly in the past 1-2 years. With all-day service, you can enjoy tea, sweets, lunch, or dinner, making it very convenient. However, due to its popularity, be prepared to wait, especially on weekends. While I also enjoy their set meals, I particularly like their unique parfait. Served in a traditional wooden box, the parfait is quite unusual (I have only seen it here). The parfait, inspired by a garden, is visually appealing and the flavors are refined and satisfying. The set comes with a generous pot of tea, allowing you to relax. I wonder how long this popular cafe's momentum will last. I definitely want to come back here.

Located inside Tokyu Plaza in Ginza, this restaurant is situated in the interior shop area towards the back, offering a quiet and peaceful atmosphere compared to the lively dining options on the same floor. The best part is that you can have unlimited refills of rice and miso soup. You can also choose three side dishes from a selection of stylish small plates, adding to the overall satisfaction of the dining experience.

The bento boxes looked delicious so I had them! It seems the shop is located in Tokyu Plaza Ginza. The Salmon Bento and Chicken Bento were both beautifully presented with a variety of colors! Of course, they tasted delicious and I was very satisfied. I would like to visit the shop next time!

Main dish: Karaage set meal with Shinshu chicken Side dishes: Sweet and spicy simmered hijiki and lotus root, mentaiko, squid and kelp shredded dried fish Visit time: Around 6:00 PM on a holiday Crowdedness: No waiting Reservation: Reservation made in advance (online reservation the day before) Number of visitors: 3 people Tabelog rating: 3.60 (May 2023) Genre: Japanese cuisine Remarks: I felt like everything, from rice to miso soup to side dishes, was not freshly made, almost like they were for bento boxes. I chose Yamagata pork and fish, and although I shared them, both were too firm and lacked a fluffy texture. However, the karaage was delicious. The coating was crispy and the meat did not feel too firm. It would have been even better if it was served warmer.
