During a meeting in Shibuya, I happened to find an available seat and decided to try the seasonal limited edition cream anmitsu, which included Shine Muscat, fig, sweet potato chips, and white dumplings. The set was elegantly presented on a tray, reflecting the sophistication of the interior. The bamboo charcoal roasted coffee I chose paired perfectly with the sweet and slightly bitter flavors of the anmitsu, creating a refreshing and delicious combination. I appreciated the luxurious feeling of being able to enjoy seasonally curated menus that perfectly captured the essence of each season.

"Chatei Sankasho-in Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs store" is a shop that has been awarded as one of the top 100 in the Japanese confectionery category on Tabelog for the 2023 fiscal year. Located on the 5th floor of Hikarie in Shibuya, the main store is in Muromachi, Kyoto. I tried the chestnut hojicha parfait and cream anmitsu. The 5th floor of Hikarie is a quiet place even on Saturdays, so it was great for enjoying a meal peacefully. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. #ChateiSankasho-in #ShibuyaGourmet #ShibuyaLunch #Sweets #ShibuyaSweets #FoodLoversWanted #GourmetGram #GourmetPeopleWanted #FoodPornGram #FoodPornographer #Tabelog #FoodTravel #DeliciousIsHappiness #FoodieFriendsWanted #GourmetClub #Foodies #FoodiesWanted #KantoGourmet #FoodReportGram #GourmetWriter #FoodWriter #BGradeGourmetInformation #TokyoFoodie

Around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon, I visited this place on the 5th floor of Hikarie. The entrance was very stylish and I felt a bit nervous, but luckily it was only about 20-30% full, probably because of the nice weather. I ordered a cold matcha latte for 935 yen. After a short wait, it arrived with a traditional sweet. The sweet was elegant and delicious, and the matcha latte was sweet and refined, incredibly tasty! I thought this place was a great hidden gem compared to going to an overpriced cafe. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back again!

I was able to enter without waiting because it was late in the evening on the weekend. Although the warabi mochi was sold out, I tried the limited-time kakigori. The view of Shibuya's streets can be seen from the window seats on the 5th floor of Hikarie. The Uji Kin-to kakigori was delicious in a normal way. The restaurant is spacious and not cramped, so depending on how you use your time, it can be a good place to visit.

I tried the shaved ice set from one of the top 100 shops, which cost around 1700 yen. The taste was decently good, but it felt a bit lacking without extra syrup. Well, it's Shibuya Station, so I guess the price is expected. However, I have something to do at Scramble Square, so I'll go to the matcha shop there instead. 😄

Today, I went shopping in Shibuya. It was really crowded despite the heat, but the energy of the young people there is amazing. In between shopping, I wanted to cool off a bit, so I went to this cafe on the 5th floor of Shibuya Hikarie shiQs. The cafe is originally from Kyoto. The atmosphere inside is calm and the view is nice. Whether you're alone or with a partner, you can relax without any worries. The staff were very polite. This time, I decided to treat myself and ordered a fancy shaved ice, which I've been into lately. Overall, the prices are a bit high. I ordered the "Zenno Ice Uji Kanetoki" for 1760 yen. It arrived quite quickly. The ice was fine and fluffy, melting in the mouth nicely. The rich aroma and intense matcha honey were delicious. The matcha ice cream, red bean paste, and rice cakes were all delicious. The whole shaved ice was very luxurious. The matcha flavor was especially good. However, there was more ice inside than it looked, and the flavor was a bit weak towards the center. The ice also became hard, so I ended up eating watery ice towards the end. Considering the price, it was a bit disappointing. It would have been perfect with some extra honey drizzle. It did cool me down perfectly though, so now I'm ready to continue shopping. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a café in Shibuya called Kafu Daidara. I had tried to go before but couldn't get in due to the long wait. This time, there were only 3 groups waiting so I decided to line up. I had just eaten sushi and pudding, so I thought about just having tea, but the set menu seemed like a better deal. In the end, I chose the "Kafu Drink Set with Matcha" for 1,870 yen, which included 8 different sweets to enjoy. The overall sweetness was quite strong, but I was already full from the sushi and pudding.

I realized that I hadn't eaten shaved ice this year, so I visited in the still hot month of September. I had a set of matcha shaved ice and genmaicha tea. I was impressed by the good aroma of the genmaicha tea. The shaved ice had shiratama (mochi balls), red bean paste, and matcha ice cream on top, providing a satisfying texture. It had just the right amount of sweetness and ice, and I enjoyed it very much!

I visited the famous Japanese sweets and dessert shop "Satei Moka Shouin Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs Store," located a 3-minute walk from Shibuya Station. I arrived around 11 am on a Saturday and was able to enter without any wait. I ordered the "Moka" ice cream set for 1,265 yen, with matcha and vanilla flavors, along with an iced coffee. The ice cream was served promptly. The vanilla flavor had a smooth texture and a mild sweetness, which was delicious. The matcha flavor had a rich taste that paired well with the ice cream. It was like a bite-sized senbei (rice cracker), and it complemented the ice cream perfectly. I enjoyed it until the last bite.

After going to Shibuya and on my way back, I visited the tea house called Zenkasho-in at Shibuya Hikarie. It's a tea house inside Hikarie. When I went around 8 pm on a weekday, the place was not crowded. I sat by the window and could see the city of Shibuya. The menu offers items like shaved ice and bracken rice cakes. I ordered the Zen-no-Koori Uji Matcha shaved ice. As part of the set, I also ordered green tea. After about 5 minutes of ordering, the shaved ice and green tea were brought to me. The shaved ice was in a matcha syrup with matcha ice cream, which was delicious and had the unique texture of shaved ice. It was a tasty shaved ice where you could taste the aroma of matcha. The red bean paste, rice crackers, and shiratama added accents to the shaved ice. The warm green tea helped to warm up my mouth after eating the cold shaved ice. I would like to try the bracken rice cakes next time.

On the 5th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, there is a sweets shop with a selection of top 100 sweets. I was torn between shaved ice and ice cream, but I chose the Zenka ice cream. It's a delicious roasted green tea ice cream!! It's nice to be able to try a flavor that you don't usually have. For my drink, I chose sencha tea! Since it's already September, cold food and drinks can make your body feel cold, so choosing sencha was the right decision! There's a proper way to enjoy sencha, first warm up the teacup by pouring hot water into it, then pour that hot water into the teapot, wait for 1 minute, and then enjoy. I feel refreshed with the combination of cold ice cream and warm tea haha.

This is a dessert shop on the 5th floor of Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs. The main store is in Kyoto, so it's great to be able to enjoy Kyoto in Shibuya. The Aloe and Kiwi soda is delicious and sweet, with a Kyoto touch. The matcha shaved ice is the highlight, with a good balance of milk and sweetness, making it very tasty.

On the 5th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, there is a cute miscellaneous goods and furniture floor where you can find "Chatei Shinkasho-in". It was my first visit there! I ordered the KARAKU set for 1,870 yen (tax included) which is exclusive to Shibuya Hikarie. It's an afternoon tea set where you can enjoy 8 different sweets. You can choose your drink, but refills are not allowed. I selected green tea. The top three delicious sweets were: 1st place is "Sakura", a super rich custard pudding with a half-cooked, moist and creamy texture. It was so delicious that even "Guri and Gura" would be surprised! 2nd place is "Takara Tamago", a castella cake filled with custard cream, also very rich and creamy like a pudding. 3rd place is "Matcha Parfait", a delicious matcha ice cream that satisfies your matcha cravings. Bonus: "Tamashigure" turned out to be a sweet red bean paste, but when I tried it, it was actually kombu and sansho pepper simmered dish. It was a great contrast to the sweetness of the desserts! The green tea was also delicious. It was a very satisfying time!

A traditional Japanese cafe that opened in Kyoto's Muromachi district in 2009, where the tea ceremony was introduced by Sen no Rikyu. They opened their first store in Tokyo. Their specialties are "Castella" cake and Instagrammable shaved ice. One of their seasonal limited edition items is the "Black Honey Monk Shaved Ice Set" which includes black sugar kudzu, black honey and soybean powder with hidden matcha ice cream inside. The set comes with sencha tea served in a Nanbu iron kettle. The cafe accepts credit cards and transportation IC cards. The Kyoto main store opened in 2009, while the Tokyo branch opened in 2012. The cafe's concept is based on the idea of "flowers and sweets in the appropriate form." It is always crowded with a mix of young people, older ladies, foreigners, and others. Some seats offer a view of the Shibuya cityscape.

I had the "Ice with Black Honey and Matcha" for 1760 yen, which came with green tea. It was bigger than I expected, and I was surprised. Inside, there was matcha ice cream which paired well with the kinako powder. The sesame rice cracker on top was delicious too. The green tea was served with clear instructions, making it easy to enjoy. After eating, it was really cold outside, which was a bit tough but funny.

Zenkashoin, a popular Japanese cafe located on the 5th floor of Shibuya Hikarie✨ The main store is in Kyoto's Muromachi, and the Hikarie branch has a wonderful modern Japanese atmosphere that you wouldn't expect in a building in front of Shibuya Station. There are counter seats as well, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy❣️ I visited around 3 pm on a weekday. I waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. There were still people waiting outside the store, but there were chairs for waiting customers, making it a comfortable wait.⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒✿ "Nanzo Kuro Mitsu Hoshi" Shaved Ice with Black Sugar Syrup (including Matcha for 1,870 yen) *Seasonal item (until 8/31)⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒*⌒The menu description says, "Shaved ice with black sugar syrup made from Tamba black beans, topped with black honey and kinako powder. The shaved ice with black honey syrup is delicious and a great deal at 1760 yen, especially considering it comes with a drink. For just an additional 330 yen, you can upgrade to a cream soda (Machimachi soda).

I visited Cafe Chaten Sankasho-in in Shibuya for the first time to try their shaved ice. I ordered the seasonal limited edition items, "Shaved Ice Uji Kanjitsu" for 1,760 yen and "Shaved Ice Kuro Mitsu Hoshi" for 1,760 yen, both with a drink included. The flavors were excellent and the portions were generous. It was a relaxing experience.

It was located inside Hikarie and had a beautiful and calming atmosphere. The menu was limited, with mainly seasonal items. I ordered the limited-time Uji Kinjyo shaved ice. The air conditioning inside was effective, so the warm tea that came with the set and the shaved ice paired really well.
