Visited around 4 pm on Saturday. I first chose some bread, and when I mentioned that I also wanted to go to the cafe, the staff said it was okay to pay for the bread together with the cafe bill at the end. There were no other customers inside, and there was also seating available in the garden. I was able to relax in the tatami room. I took the bread home, but the Muu's pizza toast was delicious.

Cream pan 250 yen, mashed potatoes and wiener 280 yen, seasonal limited sweet potato bagel 330 yen. Since it's nearby, I visited by bicycle. It was around 2 pm on Sunday, so it was not crowded and there were many choices. I was hesitant about what to choose. The dough is chewy and all of them are delicious, but maybe the fillings are a bit lacking? Just a little bit unsatisfying. Thank you for the meal.

In Kyoto, there is a popular bakery called "Pan to Espresso to" and its sister store! It is a Kyoto-style old house cafe renovated in a traditional Kyoto townhouse. You can enjoy the grand menu from the morning. I was happy to try the beef cutlet sandwich! The neatly sliced beef cutlet has a great texture and goes well with the fluffy milk bread. The grainy mustard is a nice touch. The Mexican grill sandwich that I was curious about was also very delicious! The crispy grilled bread with spicy chili con carne, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese is a perfect combination. I want to go back again to try other menu items!

It was my first time visiting, but it seemed familiar, probably because it was a renovated traditional Kyoto townhouse. I sat at the counter, looking out at the inner courtyard, and enjoyed French toast with a set drink of ginger ale. The knife easily cut through the French toast, and as I took a bite, I instantly regretted it (lol) because the French toast was piping hot. It was a decent size, so I huffed and puffed while cooling it down in my mouth before swallowing (lol). They also had dishes like beef cutlet sandwiches and hot dogs, but I chose the French toast based on my first impression of the menu. The French toast, soaked in honey from the morning, was delicious (lol).

I visited the restaurant on a weekday at 12 o'clock. Near the entrance, there were people buying bread to take home, lining up at the cashier. I wasn't sure if I could eat inside, so I waited for the cashier to be free. I found out that you can eat the bread inside, so I also ordered a cafe latte. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish. Since I didn't have a reservation, I sat at the available counter. I was a bit nervous, and the taste of the bread was unique, unlike anything I had tried before. The cafe latte was filled to the brim without a handle, so I wondered how to drink it while trying to hold back a laugh. Although no one commented, I wonder if this is a common thing nowadays.

I visited around 9 o'clock. It was a Sunday, so it was a bit crowded and I had to wait for about 15 minutes before entering. According to the staff, it seems easier to get in on weekdays, so it might be better to make a reservation when going on a Sunday. I ordered the French toast from the menu available from 9am to 11am. It was a breakfast meal with an easy-to-eat size and came with prosciutto and carrots. I also ordered the seasonal menu item, matcha melon latte, which was a surprising but delicious combination! It was an elegant breakfast. I would like to try their lunch next time.

I enjoyed a lovely morning in a stylish space renovated with a salmon and pea sandwich being a particularly recommended choice! It's great that you can reserve a seat even for breakfast, so you don't have to go early in the morning. I will definitely visit again! ✨

A popular bakery cafe chain in Tokyo and other areas. This particular shop is located in a quiet residential area near Marutamachi Subway Station in Kyoto. The exterior is modern and stylish, with a wide variety of breads available for purchase. There is also a cafe space inside where you can enjoy a proper meal. The small-sized breads seem to cater to the preferences of Japanese people, but the small baguettes also look delicious. The coffee, as per the shop's concept, is also worth trying. They are open all day from morning to evening, making it a great spot for breakfast or lunch. I look forward to visiting again at a more leisurely pace next time.

Vegetable focaccia for ¥280. Overall, the taste is quite bland. Despite having vegetables with high water content such as tomatoes and zucchinis, there is hardly any saltiness from the cheese, making it almost tasteless. The dough itself has good moisture retention and a nice texture, but it lacks flavor. It's a shame that it costs ¥280 for this.

On a regular day at 9:30, there were more people than I expected but I was able to sit down easily. I ordered the "French Toast" set with a Long Black coffee, which cost ¥1,200 I think. The French Toast was prepared in advance and came out fairly quickly. It was served with carrot salad and prosciutto. I believe the drink options for May were an orange soda and a matcha latte. I should have tried them! The French Toast was delicious, and the sandwich similar to a hot dog was also tasty. When it gets busy, the service may slow down a bit, so be patient. This is one of my favorite restaurants.

Yes, they used to be a bakery before, right? They changed to a new shop in Arashiyama. I was curious, so I went inside the store. The bread was unique and on the smaller side, but a bit pricey. I tried the curry bread, and it was delicious with a chewy texture. Even though the loaf of bread was 800 yen, it was also chewy and tasty.

I visited a bakery with a cafe at the back of a traditional townhouse. When I arrived around 10:30, the cafe was full, so I waited on the veranda of the courtyard. After a few minutes, I was able to enter. I ordered "Moo's French toast, Croque Monsieur set, and a cafe latte." Enjoying the meal while feeling the thoughts of the designer of the Kyoto townhouse was truly special. Thank you for the delicious meal, and thank you very much.

On a regular day, I arrived around 9:15. It seems like they rotate staff, as the person who used to work at the cafe is now at the bakery in front. My hunch was right, and I activated my usual "same seat" move when I come here. Basically, I always end up sitting in the same seat every time I visit, haha. I was feeling a bit peckish, so I decided to go for something bread-based! I ordered the "Ooyama Sausage Dog" for ¥1,800, which came with an iced coffee as a set. Since it's a counter service, everything is visible and all the staff members are very efficient. The price was a bit high, but considering the small soup, salad, and drink set, it seemed reasonable. It wasn't crowded, so my order arrived in about 5 minutes. First, the soup... oh, it's delicate. The salad... nicely seasoned. And then the sausage dog! It was delicious! The bread was soft and the sausage was full of flavor. The chopped pickles added a nice touch! The pork cutlet sandwich also looked tasty, but it was a bit expensive, so I decided to pass. Still, the Ooyama Sausage Dog was delicious. I wondered why Ooyama sausages are famous for chicken, but regardless, it was tasty! Especially the bread. The coffee was as good as always, so nothing special to mention there, haha. Overall, I won't be disappointed if I keep coming here. It would be even better if it were more accessible from Kyoto Station. I will definitely visit again, though, haha. I love it.

Although we often go to Arashiyama, there are also delicious breads sold in Marutamachi and you can enjoy them in a stylish Kyoto townhouse. It's nice to eat outside while looking at the garden in this season. The French toast was even more delicious when topped with honey. The Amato cream soda was also incredibly delicious. I would like to try their lunch menu next time. It's conveniently located near the station and close to Kyoto Imperial Palace, where the plum blossoms are beautiful right now. It's perfect for a quick meal in between sightseeing.

One of the must-try items on the Japanese-style hot dog grand menu is the Sand Plate, which offers five different options, all delicious. Among them, the plum hot dog is the most impressive with its unique flavor combination. At first glance, it may seem like an odd pairing, but the acidity of the plum surprisingly complements the sausage well, providing a delightful texture. The soup served with the plate is also rich and tasty, making it a great choice for when you're feeling a bit tired from sightseeing or for a luxurious morning treat on weekends.

On Thursday at 9:00, I arrived a little before the opening time and was able to enter about 2 minutes early. There is a Japanese-style room in the back with 3 tables for 4 people each, overlooking a small garden. I ordered the Morning Anshoku Butter Toast for 1,000 yen plus a seasonal Blueberry Cream Soda Sandwich Plate for 300 yen, and a Cafe Latte. The place started to fill up quickly with customers, both in the Japanese-style room and at the counter seats. My order arrived at 9:20. Since I was the first to order, it took about 20 minutes. The food was beautifully presented and very appetizing. The Anshoku bread was thickly sliced, and the soup was made with Kyoto turnips, using local ingredients. The grilled sandwich was colorful and had plenty of vegetables, making it very satisfying. The Cream Soda was a special on that day. Later, 3 people were seated on the terrace and seemed a bit cold. Overall, I enjoyed the view of the garden from my seat in the first half, which added to my experience. The atmosphere might have been different if I had sat at the counter. It was a delightful meal.

This is my favorite café in Kyoto. Around 12:00 on weekdays, it was not crowded. They said that morning service had ended. I would like to try the morning service sometime. They had a seasonal menu item called "Orange Cream Soda," I forgot the price, maybe around 700 yen? The pudding was delicious last time. This time, I didn't order any food. Watching the cooking at the counter was busy but interesting. I should definitely try the morning service sometime. The Orange Cream Soda was refreshing and tasty. There was also a matcha and cream? and orange three-layered drink, but I wonder if matcha and orange go well together? Later, I had an "Iced Americano," which was reliable. The cozy atmosphere here is different from Arashiyama Garden. I really like it here. I definitely want to try the morning service someday. (*^^*)
