I decided to stay here again because I had a good impression from my previous visit. I used a voucher I purchased at the beginning of the year for a two-night stay. A 10,000 yen deposit is required for each stay. It's convenient to be able to use MK Taxi for free from Kyoto Station. I used the sauna three times during my stay. Since it wasn't too cold, I didn't use the gym and instead went jogging outside. The hotel is located in the Higashiyama area, which is suitable for jogging as it is popular among tourists. You can also enjoy cherry blossom viewing from rooms facing the garden. I planned this trip to see the cherry blossoms at Gio-ji Temple and the Osaka Mint Bureau, but by this time they were already past full bloom. Nevertheless, it was still nice. I recommend the Touzan Bar for drinks and dining. It's a hotel bar, but the prices are similar to authentic bars in the city, which is fair. I don't think Trattoria Sette is an outstanding restaurant, but it's an option if you don't feel like going out. Overall, I didn't have any major complaints during my stay, but it felt like it fell slightly short compared to my previous visit. It's definitely a bit overkill for a solo stay.

A luxurious hotel that has received 4 Red Pavilion awards from Michelin. It is considered a step below the top luxury hotels such as Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Park Hyatt. I stayed there for two nights at the end of last year. The gym is available 24 hours a day. I'm not a big fan of treadmills, but during the winter, jogging outside can be tough so I was grateful to use it. The sauna is also available from 10 am to 7 pm, which made me, a casual sauna-goer, very happy. However, there is no cold water bath, so sauna enthusiasts might find it lacking. The service was top-notch. Hotel guests are treated differently in the restaurants and other facilities. The Italian restaurant was decent, and the bar had good value for the price. I will review these places separately. The hotel has a complex layout, but they provide explanations when showing you to your room, so it's easy to navigate. The room had high ceilings, making it feel more spacious than the layout suggested. Surprisingly, there was no overhead shower, which I usually associate with luxury hotels. It didn't bother me since I don't use it anyway. I was planning to stay there again when I came across a New Year's lucky bag deal - a voucher for a stay with a hotel deposit of 10,000 yen included for only 30,000 yen. This voucher can be used from Sunday to Friday until June 30, excluding weekends, holidays, and the day before holidays. This means it can even be used during the peak cherry blossom season. A night's stay during that time easily exceeds 30,000 yen, so I couldn't resist and ended up purchasing vouchers for two nights. I can't wait for spring.

The staff seem to have too much free time on their hands, even though there are enough of them, they seem to be poorly organized. It's so chaotic that even though I was told they would take the drink orders first during busy times, my coffee and tea were brought to another table later. I ordered a vegan plate, but it came with poached eggs (which my companion ordered) that weren't even on the menu. It was a shame, but I ended up eating the eggs even though I'm not vegan. The food itself was okay, not bad tasting, and it's a stylish breakfast plate, but... that's all for now.

This is a time difference post. I went to a banquet with about 200 people. I didn't have high expectations for the food, but it was okay. As expected, the hotel service was flawless, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable time. The menu included chilled salmon and cabbage terrine, vichyssoise, fish dish, and meat dish. In addition to the photos, there were salads and beautifully presented desserts.

This time I stayed here for one night. I didn't have much time to prepare for my trip to Kyoto, especially during the autumn foliage season. Even though it was just one night, I decided to stay at the fairly nice Hyatt Regency. (By the way, the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons are over 100,000 yen!) I chose the most standard room, which was quite spacious and had a calming atmosphere with a touch of Japanese style. However, for this price, you could probably stay in a nicer room overseas, right? Kyoto during peak season is no joke. Every day at 6:15 PM in the basement hall, there is a performance by geisha, and you can take photos with them. They also serve sparkling wine - nice touch, Regency! I will definitely use this hotel again if I have the chance.

I stayed at Hyatt Regency Kyoto on a business trip. Normally, I stay at cheap business hotels for work trips, but this time I chose a slightly more expensive hotel because my partner came along. The hotel is small and conveniently located just a short taxi ride from Kyoto Station. I prefer smaller hotels because I get tired of walking long distances inside larger hotels. The breakfast buffet at The Grill on the first floor was delicious and there were no disappointing dishes. There are many foreign guests staying at the hotel. You can enjoy a leisurely breakfast while looking out at the garden.

The "Hyatt Regency Kyoto" hotel is located about 1.6 km east of Kyoto Station's central exit on the JR Tokaido Shinkansen, along Shichijo Street across from the Kyoto National Museum. The hotel was originally founded in 1971 as the Kyoto Park Hotel, rebuilt in 1980, and later sold. The current hotel has been known as the Hyatt Regency Kyoto since 2006. I arranged to meet up with six friends at this hotel two months ago, with the purpose of visiting Arashiyama in Kyoto and having a boat ride with Maiko and others upstream from the Togetsukyo Bridge. Two of my friends and I met at Kyoto Station, had lunch and drinks at the Kikusui restaurant near Shijo Station, and checked into the hotel around 3:30 PM. Our room on the second floor had a view of a garden full of greenery, which felt too luxurious for just one person. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the hotel's tea room on the first floor, with a choice of Japanese or Western options. I arrived at the tea room at exactly 8 AM and ordered the Japanese breakfast, which included rice, seaweed and tofu miso soup, grilled Spanish mackerel and seasoned egg, cold tofu with condiments, soy milk, small fish, simmered dried tofu, dried radish, and pickles. It seemed like a lot to drink early in the morning. I first tried the grilled Spanish mackerel, which was boneless and delicious, and then tried the small fish on top of rice, which had a gentle flavor. The pickles and seaweed and tofu miso soup were also particularly tasty, something I wouldn't be able to experience at home.

The course followed the menu, but the salmon in the appetizer was somewhat fishy, and the other dishes didn't leave a lasting impression. It was probably because it was a banquet menu.

I usually only attend the standing buffet party here once a year, but it's always a large-scale event where I end up not being able to eat much due to all the lively conversations. This time, I was able to enjoy the food to a certain extent after a long time. There were a variety of Japanese and Western dishes available, and while the sushi selection was a bit basic, the other meat and fish dishes were cooked well and had good quality meat that was satisfying to eat. I also had dessert this time, and the strawberry shortcake was surprisingly authentic, with cream and cake that were on par with those from a cake shop. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't get a reservation at the Four Seasons Hotel restaurant, so I had lunch here instead. The casual Italian restaurant was baby-friendly, stylish, and comfortable. I would like to come back again.

First of all, because it is a hotel, it is a bit complicated to compare it with a regular restaurant, so I did not include an overall score. The ratings are based on the following criteria: Food/Taste/Drinks: The quality of meals, beverages, and alcohol served at the hotel, including breakfast, room service, and club floor offerings. Service: The level of service provided by hotel staff such as front desk, concierge, room attendants, and club floor staff. Atmosphere: The overall ambiance of the hotel, including its exterior, lobby, guest rooms, club floors, and restaurants. Value for Money: An evaluation of the overall value for the accommodation fees and prices. I recently stayed at a Hyatt hotel in Kyoto after a long time. With new luxury hotels like the Ritz-Carlton opening up, it had been even longer since my last stay at a Hyatt. This time, I made a last-minute reservation and opted to use my World of Hyatt points instead of my usual AMEX booking, as it seemed like a hassle. However, in hindsight, booking with AMEX would have been a better choice. The upgrades and privileges offered at the time of booking were known to me, but the difference between a spacious room and a cramped one is significant. The room size really does make a difference, with larger rooms being preferable. Additionally, the little touches of service provided when booking with AMEX really stand out. While the food remains the same, these small details can make a difference and leave you feeling disappointed. Perhaps it would be different if my membership rank were higher. I hope my Hyatt membership level will improve in the future.

I went to a Valentine's Special Dessert Buffet. The buffet had twelve types of desserts for 2,317 yen (tax included): - Baked cheesecake - Strawberry tart - Macarons (5 flavors) - Lychee rose sherbet - Green tea ice cream - 2 types of chocolate - Caramel and pineapple roast - Cupcakes (chocolate, matcha, strawberry, plain) - Heart-shaped apple tart tatin - Meringues (2 types) - Chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows The tart was a bit awkwardly sized, making it difficult to eat in one bite. The heart-shaped apple tart tatin and chocolate-covered strawberries were delicious. The only downside was when I asked for a refill of tea, I was later told it was not free. They explained that since the pot contained enough for 2-3 cups, they assumed people wouldn't ask for more. Just be cautious when ordering tea.

I attended a dinner party at Hyatt Regency Kyoto. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Shichijo Station and a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Kyoto Station towards Sanjusangendo. The hotel has a Kyoto-like atmosphere with a low-rise building. The dinner party took place in the banquet hall on the basement floor. The guests included VIPs from the US and China, wine buyers, and people from the food and beverage industry. I managed to communicate with them using my limited English and Chinese skills. We enjoyed various wines with the dinner course, including Lail Vineyards Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Lail Vineyards Blueprint Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, and Lail Vineyards J. Daniel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon 2011. The highlight was the Lail Vineyards J. Daniel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, which received a perfect score of 100 points from Robert Parker. It is a Napa wine made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and has a wonderful aroma even though it is still young. We also tried over 10 other wines, with the Napa Valley Headwaters Red Blend 2011 standing out as particularly delicious. The dinner course was curated by the hotel's chef to complement the wines. The dishes were all delicious, and the service at the hotel and the restaurants like "trattoria sette" and "The Grill" was excellent. It was a delightful experience enjoying wine and food at Hyatt Regency Kyoto, and I would definitely consider staying here when visiting Kyoto in the future.

<July 26th, 26th year Kyoto Tour ⑯> [Recommended by Achiki] - Hotel's various services [Bill] - Total ... 4063 yen (2 people: room service) [Achiki's situation] - When you want to immerse yourself in a wonderful luxury experience in Kyoto [Content] - Club cake with dip - Special sandwich - French fries [Details] On the 4th day of the Kyoto tour. Started the day with a morning cafe, had Italian for lunch, and enjoyed Japanese cuisine for dinner, followed by drinks at the bar - it was a fulfilling day! However, a powerful typhoon is approaching from the west, and it seems it will hit directly on the day we return to Edo. After much consideration, we decided to shorten our trip by one day and head back to Edo. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our hotel and lunch reservations in Nara. So, tonight marks the last night of our tour! We decided to enjoy it to the fullest. Back in our room after drinks at the bar, we ordered room service. We selected the "Club cake with dip," which was crispy on the outside and moist inside. Even without the dip, the crab flavor was just right. The dip, ordered separately with the french fries, was also delicious and complemented the dish well. Next, we ordered a "Special sandwich" that was not on the menu, and it was generously filled with egg, ham, and tomato - a satisfying choice! The wide range of menu options, from a la carte to courses, was impressive. If our stomachs allowed, we would have loved to try more dishes. This last night in Kyoto was spent enjoying delicious food. The 4-night, 5-day food and drink tour in Kyoto allowed us to fully savor the flavors of Kyoto. The view from the window of the Kyoto National Museum's historic building was right there, next to the Sanjusangendo Temple - a perfect location. The luxurious and comfortable atmosphere was exceptional! The warmth of the wood, the Japanese aesthetic mixed with modern sensibilities - the interior design was calming. The comfort of the bed and bathroom was top-notch, and the staff's natural hospitality was endearing. While the usual price is quite high, we were fortunate to stay for free thanks to a credit card benefit! We only had to pay for the bar, room service, and luggage delivery. With the rain outside and the approaching typhoon, it seemed better to return to Edo decisively. We would love to stay at this wonderful hotel again in the future. To be continued...
