This is a nice atmosphere BAR. It was my first time stopping by on my way back from Yamasaki. I usually just have a quick drink at the hotel BAR, but if I'm looking for a more relaxed and atmospheric experience, I often go to Mandarin or Park Hyatt in Shinjuku. If I didn't have someone to accompany me, I might never have discovered this wonderful BAR. Roppongi is a place that I never seem to get used to, so if I were alone, I might never have come across such a lovely BAR. I like individual BARs, but hotel BARs always have a calming effect. I definitely want to visit again.

Visited "Maduro" in Roppongi. It's a jazz bar located inside the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi Hills. The atmosphere is sophisticated with dim lighting and flickering gas lamps. Live jazz music fills the air, creating a high-quality experience. I decided to order drinks to enhance the ambiance. First, I tried the Lychee Martini. It was a refreshing martini with a hint of sweetness from lychee liqueur. The olives inside were delicious too. For my second drink, I had a Remy Martan straight. It was strong, so I savored it slowly while drinking water as a chaser. The bar snacks of peanuts were tasty and complemented the drinks well. I paid with a credit card, and although the quality was good, the bill for two drinks was almost 9000 yen, which felt a bit pricey. As a member of Club Hyatt, I earned points on my purchase. It was a delicious experience, and I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

After finding a second place to go, I took a night walk to Roppongi. Along the way, there was a mysterious moment where I ate a taiyaki from Naniwa-ya for some reason. I ended up at the Grand Hyatt in search of a hotel bar. When in doubt about finding a bar, a city hotel is always a safe bet. The atmosphere at the Grand Hyatt's Maduro is truly impressive. It had been about five years since my last visit. I was told by the staff beforehand that taking photos was not allowed, so I couldn't capture the interior, making it hard for you to imagine. Upon entering the bar, a dimly lit space with minimal lighting opened up, creating a sense of otherworldliness. As I made my way further in, I noticed the high ceilings and spacious depth of the bar. There were roughly 10-15 sofa tables in the center. It was quite empty that day. I was seated at one of the sofa tables and in front of me was a jazz band. I enjoyed the lovely live music. The music was quite loud, so it wasn't the best place for conversations but rather for enjoying drinks and relaxing. I had a dry martini and a vodka martini here, both of which were pretty good. While I didn't pay this time, I was informed that it was typical Roppongi pricing, so it's not a place I would frequent, but I might stop by occasionally.

A shop located in the Hills where you can smoke cigars, so be aware if you dislike it. The atmosphere is sure to be great. Prices are not cheap though. There is a music charge. The interior is dimly lit. All drinks are delicious. Seasonal cocktails are recommended.

Connected to the restaurant floor of Roppongi Hills, this bar is located within the Grand Hyatt Tokyo. It has a hidden location that is lovely. It was a wonderful space where you can spend a relaxing time listening to jazz. The drinks were good, and the nuts were delicious!

Located a 3-minute walk from Exit 1C of Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, and a 6-minute walk from Exit 3 of Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line, this is a live music bar for adults on the 4th floor of Roppongi Hills Grand Hyatt Tokyo. A friend took me here as our second stop the other day. I remember visiting before, and it was still a stylish bar for adults. They ordered a whiskey tasting set for me, along with cheese and nuts, and we enjoyed delicious drinks. Despite my friend, who is younger, athletic, and wealthy, having just eaten a lot of meat earlier, they still ordered the tapas platter at this restaurant because the food here is delicious, and they were happily munching away. I also tried just one tapas of smoked salmon, and it was delicious. The live music inside was enjoyable with a nice volume. I'm thinking of ordering a different whiskey tasting set next time and treating them, maybe even ordering caviar.

I went to a restaurant for a meal around 9:00 pm. When I entered, they asked me if I was okay with a music charge. I was seated at a table with a comfortable single sofa surrounding a round table, perfect for enjoying drinks. The atmosphere was great with live jazz music playing in a chic and dimly lit setting. The drink prices were a bit high, like the separate charge for water with my whisky, and the music charge was added to the bill. Overall, the ambiance was nice, but as a non-smoker, I found the smoke bothersome. It's probably a trade-off for smokers and cigar enthusiasts.

On my second visit, I enjoyed a great atmosphere with live JAZZ music. The photo is from the Christmas pairing course. It was disappointing that our table was in a place where we couldn't see the live performance. I wanted to at least take a photo of the performance, but I was silently stopped by a waiter. The total cost for two people was around 80,000 yen, so if you can't dine while enjoying the live JAZZ, it's better to eat elsewhere. Normally, you can listen to the live performance with a music charge of 2,900 yen and drink fees, so I'll be more careful next time.

It is located inside the Grand Hyatt. Roppongi Hills is like a maze, so you might get lost if you don't know your way around. The pick-up service and luggage storage are well taken care of. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is fantastic. The food menu is decent, but the drink menu is extensive and you can also request items not on the menu. The service and presentation are perfect. I had a bourbon on the rocks, while my companion had a glass of red wine and a glass of white wine. The wines were delicious, just as the bartender recommended. The bill was a total bill. The send-off and luggage handover were also perfect. The only downside was that there was a constant smell of cigars, which was a bit unpleasant. Is this unavoidable in this kind of bar?

Maduro, who wanted to stay at the same hotel where his friend recommended and felt safe even when drunk, ended up going to a different restaurant and getting full and drunk. When he checked the hotel's website to buy Grand Hyatt's cake, he found a great deal on a course. He had missed a similar deal before, so he made a reservation right away. The deal was prominently featured on CREA online, while it was only briefly mentioned in the CREA magazine. The deal was for a Cielo Night at the hotel for 5,060 yen (including tax), which included a 90-minute free-flow of 36 types of drinks such as tapas, beer, wine, whiskey, soft drinks, cocktails, and non-alcoholic cocktails, and a 120-minute stay from Sunday to Thursday at 7:00 pm or 7:30 pm. The deal also included a 2,000 yen music charge. It was too good of a deal to pass up. The entrance from the Hills side was elegant and had a Balinese resort vibe. The interior of the restaurant was even cooler, making Maduro feel like he wanted to go to Bali. When he sat down, the staff who took his reservation greeted him politely, and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. They confirmed his drink order promptly without him having to ask. The tapas set for the day included salmon, caprese, wiener, and shrimp with sweet chili sauce. He enjoyed a welcome sparkling wine, a minty mojito, a gin and tonic, white wine, and a Moscow mule. The cocktails were a bit weak in flavor, but considering the price, it was not a problem at all. The Moscow mule had a strong ginger flavor. Despite not understanding much about jazz, Maduro was able to enjoy the atmosphere and the great music. Surprisingly, there were many young couples in their 20s, as well as groups of women having a girls' night out. Some tables were close together, while others were more spaced out, depending on the purpose. Maduro wondered who would be seated at the large tables that seemed more isolated. It was a fun night, although he witnessed some incidents that made him think about proper etiquette in different situations. The restroom was inside the restaurant, with separate facilities for men and women. The women's restroom even had two private rooms, and the atmosphere was nice with hand towels provided. However, it seemed like the cleaning check was not thorough.

I visited "Maduro" in Minato-ku, Tokyo on November 1, 2019. Although I have been there multiple times, this is my first time posting about it. I arrived around 11:00 PM. We ordered 4 mojitos and enjoyed the live band performance, which added to the extraordinary experience. The volume was just right next to the stage, not interrupting our conversations. The atmosphere was fantastic! I definitely want to go back again.

Here, the price of wine is still ridiculously high... I think a glass of Blanc de Blancs Champagne was ¥3,300? Well, you know. The Silicon Valley millionaires were discussing the prices of Napa wines at the previous restaurant, but when it comes to Champagne, maybe because it's French, or maybe they just accepted the hotel price at the dinner before? Haha. They complained about only having brand name options in glasses, and the person themselves doesn't like brand names. If they didn't have their favorite Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot would have been fine, but... (maybe a reluctant choice due to their companion's preferences?) They ended up making a Kir Royale by adding Cassis to their Champagne, how stubborn can you get? The dimly lit ambiance of the restaurant, with live music playing, might be even more appealing to those who enjoy music. The singer that night was sexy and lovely, but when a handsome guy came to pick her up at the end of the night, presumably her boyfriend, and they started cuddling in the front row, the interest quickly faded. Men are such easy-to-understand creatures, aren't they? (laughs)

After enjoying the Basquiat exhibition at the Mori Arts Center Gallery, we decided to visit this place that my wife wanted to go for our anniversary (even though it wasn't our anniversary). I was impressed by how well-maintained everything was. The interior was dimly lit but the spotlights were strategically placed so you could see the menu and food clearly. The staff was attentive and noticed when we needed more light to read the menu or when we wanted to order drinks. The food and wine were delicious, and when they realized we were regular drinkers, they poured us more generously from the second round onwards. The live music was excellent and added to the overall ambiance. The only regret I had was that the Martini I ordered was so delicious that I ended up ordering another one, which led to me drinking too much (my own fault). The total bill for the two of us came to ¥10,000.

I was taken to a second restaurant for my birthday dinner. It was Saturday night and coincidentally it was time for a jazz live performance. The piano, trumpet, bass, and drums players were all of a good age (laughs). Especially the piano and drums players were older, so the start was a bit loose. But as they played more songs, they got into the groove. I usually listen to jazz that makes me sweat, so I thought this relaxed atmosphere was also nice. It was a hotel bar in Roppongi, so you could really feel the sophisticated atmosphere of Minato Ward. The nuts served here had a curry flavor and were delicious.

After dinner, we came to this place for a second round. It was around 10 pm and quite crowded, so we had to wait a bit. We were seated at the counter as all the tables seemed to be full. There were a lot of inbound customers, probably due to the location. Since we were at the counter, we consulted with the bartender and tried about 3 cocktails. The bartender, though young, was very friendly and knowledgeable about drinks. The live music was powerful, and we got lost in the live singing, which made us stop chatting. But the volume was just right for a date night. We ordered a chocolate assortment for food, which included various types like raw chocolate, chocolate salami, and chocolate macarons. They were all delicious and went well with the drinks. It was a night to be careful not to get too drunk. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

After dining at Dalmat, we decided to go to a bar for a change. It was early (around 8 pm), so the floor was only about 30% full and quite empty. However, by the time we left, the place was packed with people waiting. It seems to be very popular, especially on weekends. I usually don't drink much liquor, but I decided to try Scotch here. I don't remember exactly what I had (not because I was drunk), but I had about 2 glasses of Scotch and then a glass of rum. The atmosphere was nice, with live jazz music playing in the background. I relaxed on the sofa, sipping my drink with a cigar in hand, feeling very calm. Although I don't usually eat chocolate or dried fruits, I tried white chocolate with dried fruits and I was hooked. It was delicious. The bill came out to about 22,000 yen for two people, which is not cheap, but considering how much fun we had, it was worth it. If you go with someone you have a good relationship with, you can have a great time even without much conversation.

It's all about the face, the face. The manager and staff keep coming to greet us one after another, haha. This time we used a group deal and sat in a corner seat for the first time. Usually when I come here, I go through the hotel elevator, but the big shots haven't even signed in yet (at first I thought everyone was going to the bathroom, lol). We took the secret elevator in the corner of the Hills that only insiders know about? Straight to HILLS! The Californian who knows more about HILLS than the locals in Minato (lol lol). When we all drink together, a whole bottle of wine disappears in no time, but the prices have gone up, right? So we went for a relatively wallet-friendly Italian restaurant. It was delicious! We're glad we didn't choose a mediocre Napa or something. Thank you for the meal! When there are fewer people, maybe we can relax a bit more? But the punchline is always being called out suddenly, lol.

Moved from the Chinese-themed room to my favorite bar, a social gathering place for adults. I tried the seasonal cocktail, made with muskmelon, which was recommended. The final touch was done right in front of me, with champagne poured in to complete the drink. It was delicious! Afterwards, I also tried the recommended melon mojito, which was also delightful with the sweetness of the melon. I enjoyed these drinks while snacking on chocolate and desserts, making it a lovely time.

I think this bar in the heart of the city ranks high in terms of sophistication (lol). Inside, you can relax on the comfortable sofas while listening to jazz played regularly, or engage in lively conversations. It has a high number of foreign patrons. I think it's a great place to go on a date. It can get crowded, so be prepared to wait in line.

This is a favorite spot for me and my foreign friend, but it's been a while since we took photos here. Well, to be honest, the drinks are a bit pricey. It's more about the atmosphere and cover charge here. People who are mindful of their wallet probably wouldn't come here haha. We usually come here late at night. After dinner, we often end up ordering another round, but since the glasses are small, we always end up getting a bottle (laughs). The quality of the staff varies, some young women don't speak much English, maybe due to a shortage of staff in the service industry these days. It was a sudden invitation, but it was fun, and the stag leap wine was decent (the champagne was so-so). Thanks for the meal! The interior of the restaurant is dark, so if you have good eyesight, bring a flashlight (laughs). I'm becoming a regular here, no more hesitation, just straight to my table like a duck (laughs).
