I found a super great deal and went to Thrush cafe, where you can overlook a 10,000 square meter Japanese garden with a history of about 400 years at Happonen. The cafe is so green that you forget you're in the city, with high ceilings and an open atmosphere. With a "Farm to Table" concept, they use naturally grown vegetables from contracted farmers, delivered fresh on the day. The cuisine brings out the natural deliciousness of the ingredients to the fullest, with a focus on reducing food waste and promoting the charm of local areas using underutilized crops, actively engaging in SDGs. The special plan I tried this time was the "SHIROKANE APERITIF NIGHT," where you can enjoy 28 types of drinks including Moet & Chandon Imperial Champagne, hotel original Mojitos, seasonal original cocktails, and more. The Thrush cafe's special appetizers include 5 types of aperitifs, 4 kinds of pickled farm vegetables, seafood ceviche, white fish mousse fritters, low-temperature cooked domestic chicken breast, and naturally grown fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were so delicious that I could eat as many as I wanted. The special salad, made with whole grilled romaine lettuce and a spicy aurora sauce with garlic and cumin, was irresistible with the sweetness of the vegetables. The 100% beef hamburger made from experienced cows was juicy and delicious, with a grilled aroma and meaty flavor. The buns were also homemade, with a crispy brioche-like texture that made me want to eat them alone. I also ordered the famous apple pie here, which retained the crispy texture of the apples and had a spicy touch of cinnamon. The dessert was completed with a crispy pie crust made with rare Oshima butter and refreshing Oshima milk ice cream. The free-flow plan, including popular dishes, costs 7,260 yen including tax. Every dish goes perfectly with champagne, making it a plan that alcohol lovers will love!
