Butter Chicken: A delicious retort curry, nothing out of the ordinary. Fukujin Pickles and Man'yoji Green Peppers with Sansho Pepper: Both have a good texture and are tasty. The Man'yoji green peppers with sansho pepper have a refreshing blend of two types of spiciness, chili pepper, and sansho pepper. Monkey IPA - 480 yen A fruity and smooth beer. Initially surprising, but once you get past that, it fills your senses with a very aromatic and vibrant scent.

In this food court, you buy your food first at a ticket machine. This time, I chose the beef tendon konjac from Romantei. You can pay at the ticket machine with cash or a transportation IC card. When you buy from the machine, your order goes directly to the restaurant. So when you show your ticket, they will give you your food right away. I tried it right away. The beef tendon was delicious, and inside there were ingredients like minced chicken and cabbage, wrapped in a chewy thin dough with starch. It was great that there were various shops to choose from.

On the way home, we were discussing what to do for dinner and realized we didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to go buy sushi for dinner. We also picked up some frozen udon noodles and retort curry. We had the sushi for dinner that day, the udon noodles for lunch the next day, and saved the curry for another day (unintentionally bought the spicy one). This place has a wide variety of products, from new items to classics, so it's fun to visit!

I have always passed by Cafe&Meal MUJI in Kyoto Yamashina store, but this time I decided to order. The staff, who seemed very friendly and familiar with the Kansai region, helped me with my order and explained the payment process at the end. I finally understood why I had been hesitant to order in the first place. I opted for the Main and 4 Deli Set for 1,200 yen, and was able to choose deli instead of dessert. However, due to lack of sleep, I ended up selecting the dishes in the wrong order. I even spilled some food on my coat, realizing how tired I actually was. The staff kindly provided me with a wet towel to clean up. The main dish was warm while the deli dishes were cold, but the vegetables from Kyoto were delicious. I can't believe there's a sushi counter here! It's tucked away next to the fresh fish section. It's only 1,000 yen for lunch, which is a great deal. But be careful because the portion is quite large. The slices of fish in the omakase don were thick, which is good, but the sea bream was too tough to chew. I wonder if you can ask for them to make it thinner when you order?

I visited the Muji store in Yamashina for the first time. I couldn't go shopping because I was on a break from work, but decided to have lunch at the food court. There were several options like udon and flour dishes, and you can eat at the tables. This time I chose the butter chicken curry from Muji. It was surprisingly spicy and delicious. The price was reasonable too. I thought it might be noisy and not very relaxing, but it was actually quite calm and I enjoyed my meal. Muji stands out from the typical impersonal food courts with its stylish interior and book display. I can't speak for other restaurants, but I highly recommend the curry. I will definitely have it again when I go back.

Recently, I have been frequenting places like Kobe BAL, Umie, Grand Front, and Kyoto Station, but it's been a while since I've been to Mujiyama. When I arrived here, I was starving, so I resisted the temptation of the various food products and headed straight to the food court. I decided to have the garlic chicken that I liked last time. The increased amount of rice was satisfying. It was delicious and I will definitely choose this again next time.

I went to the Muji supermarket. They not only sell fresh fish, but also have a sushi counter. It costs 1,000 yen for 5 pieces of sushi and miso soup, which is a bit pricey. They also offer a seafood bowl for the same price. The sushi is the daily recommendation. The sushi comes with wasabi already on it. The miso soup with mozuku seaweed was surprisingly delicious. It had a homemade taste to it. I thought it might be a Muji product, but I couldn't find it online, so it seems to be different.

I was disappointed when Daimaru in front of JR Yamashina Station closed down, but when I went there and found Muji, I discovered a lovely cafe. We both ordered the Main and Deli Set for 1100 yen each. Doesn't everything look delicious? If you try to make such elaborate side dishes, you won't have time to relax on weekends, you know. We were able to refresh ourselves in the cozy interior with a warm wooden feel.

At Muji Yamaoka, it's still bustling as usual. I had a delicious toro tuna bowl with miso soup at the counter of a sushi shop in the fish section (¥1000). It had tuna, egg, and more on top. It was tasty! However, the spot was a bit chilly, so the miso soup warmed me up. I paid with cash at the central register. On my way out, I noticed they had dishes like beef bowl, yakisoba, and fish bento that could make for a quick dinner. The prices were reasonable and they had a wide variety, so I'll definitely be back.

I prepared for self-isolation at home by stocking up on food at Muji during their Muji Week. After finishing my shopping, I decided to have lunch at the food court. I chose the garlic chicken with onion soup in a paper cup. The presentation may not compare to a restaurant, but the taste was good and delicious.

After visiting the grave on March 22, I went to Nenendo at Saigoku Sanjusansho Pilgrimage, then to Mimurotoji, and finally to Daigoji. Daigoji seemed to be unaffected by the coronavirus, as there were quite a few people there despite the cherry blossoms starting to bloom. I just wanted to get a temple stamp, but there was an entrance fee of 1500 yen and a parking fee of 1000 yen. Visiting Saigoku temples can be costly. After finishing my visit, I was hungry and decided to head to the food court in Yama-shina, where I wanted to eat curry. However, they were running out of rice so I had to wait for 15 minutes. I ordered a curry set for 650 yen (usually 680 yen) with extra rice for 50 yen. My husband finished his curry quickly, leaving me with only half of mine. I was a bit upset but enjoyed the butter chicken curry from Muji. I also ordered chicken skewers which were delicious. Next time, I might try the soup. My husband insisted we should have curry again. This time, when I got off the train at Kyoto Yamashina and went down to the underground area where Muji is located, it felt very artistic with small booths here and there, maybe because Valentine's Day is approaching. I wanted to take my time exploring the supermarket on the first basement floor. I looked around carefully from dried goods to meat, sushi, and bread. For brunch, I decided to go to the food court and tried butter curry, tsukune soup, and a kind of savory pancake. I had high expectations for the soup, but it tasted like miso soup that had been left overnight - a bit too strong in flavor. I wondered if it had been boiled too long.

I visited the newly opened Café&Meal MUJI in Yamashina, which offers a wide variety of delicious food options. The restaurant is quite spacious, being one of the largest in Kansai. You can choose between a main dish and 3 or 4 side dishes. I opted for the 3 side dishes, and while the main dish portion was a bit small, the side dishes were all very tasty. They even have some limited edition side dishes that you can't find elsewhere. I particularly enjoyed the black seaweed and boiled whitebait with tofu dish. You can also choose between multigrain rice and white rice. Overall, it's a great place for a little luxurious lunch.

I wanted to go here so much! Everything looks so appealing! I arrived one hour before closing time, so there weren't many customers. The food court in Muji is interesting. They have retort pouch foods, snacks, as well as carefully selected deli, fish, and meat sourced from high-quality suppliers. I didn't have time to visit the food court, but I bought sushi and yakitori from the supermarket to enjoy at home. The prices are on the expensive side, but the food is delicious and visually appealing. They also have a pickles corner where the staff offers samples and explains the different pickles available. The pickles are more like lightly pickled vegetables or pickles with vibrant colors and unique flavors. It's pricey, but worth it.
