Once again, I couldn't resist trying the Agodashi Ramen. This time, I ordered the all-toppings option. The meatballs and simmered eggs were delicious, and as always, this is one of the few places where I can even drink the soup. It seems like they have a high rating on Tabelog, but I think they cater more towards inbound tourists since there are many foreign customers. It has become my favorite ramen shop in Kyoto (lol).

Second visit. Just like last time, the Agodashi Shio Ramen was amazing. The soup perfectly coated the noodles, spreading its rich flavor in my mouth and making it hard to stop eating. As someone from Kanto, I usually don't enjoy the rich white broth ramen in Kyoto, including this shop, but I really love the light yet flavorful ramen here. I'm curious about the Tonkotsu Shoyu and Clam Dashi as well, so I will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious meal!! ✨✨

It's been a while since I last visited Mitsuru. They used to have branches in various places, but now it seems that there are only the Karasuma and Gion stores in the city. The Gion store is open all day, so you can visit anytime which is convenient. The creamy chicken white broth soup is still the same. I might like it more if it had a bit more umami. The straight noodles with a hint of wheat flour are to my liking. What I had: Rich chicken white broth (soy sauce) with flavored egg (950 yen).

I visited the Karasuma branch a while ago and the ramen was delicious. I ordered the salt ramen in large size. It may be a matter of personal taste, but the flavor of this place is truly the best! It's a taste that really resonates with my preferences and DNA! The noodles have a strong umami flavor that complements the soup well, making it a taste that I never get tired of. I also like Takamatsu ramen, but this place is also fantastic. I wonder why the ratings are so low? I think they will improve in the future... I will come back to try a different type of ramen. Thank you for the meal!!

Solo trip to Kyoto~♪ Rich white broth ramen with soy sauce (850 yen). The thick and creamy soup is packed with the umami of chicken, and the whole char siu is seared to perfection, giving it a delicious smoky flavor. The chopped wood ear mushrooms and green onions add a nice touch. The thick noodles are perfectly coated in the soup. In Kyoto, ramen usually has thin noodles, so I've been wanting to try this kind of ramen for a while! It was a rich and satisfying bowl of ramen (*^^*).

The noodles were smooth, and the soup had a slightly sweet aftertaste with plenty of back fat, yet surprisingly light. The chashu had more lean meat but was also unexpectedly light. The menma had a thick, satisfying texture. Overall, it was simply delicious.

I visited the restaurant a little past 9 PM and purchased a ticket for the "Special Rich Chicken Paitan Ramen" (1,050 yen) at the ticket machine by the entrance. I chose the salt flavor. The bowl arrived with a cloudy soup topped with a large sheet of seaweed, seasoned egg, chicken chashu, chicken meatballs, and chopped green onions. The soup had a thick and rich chicken flavor with a strong umami and richness, and a generous amount of oil, but the saltiness was mild, giving it a gentle taste. The noodles were medium-thick with a high water content, offering a firm chewiness and a good amount that paired well with the soup. The chicken chashu was made from roasted chicken thigh, providing a substantial and satisfying bite, while the chicken meatballs were flavorful. The seasoned egg had a soy sauce and dashi flavor with a smoky aroma. I chose salt instead of soy sauce, which made the chicken flavor more pronounced in this chicken paitan ramen. I look forward to trying the pork backfat soy sauce ramen next time.

After a live show, I was supposed to have eaten something delicious, but I ended up getting drunk and visiting Kyoto Ramen Bitcho in Gion. It was past 10 PM and the location was perfect on my way to the station. I vaguely remember there were a few customers inside. I ordered the rich chicken tsukemen and it arrived promptly. The presentation was beautiful and the medium-thick straight noodles were just right. The soup, although rich, was not too thick and coated the noodles nicely. The saltiness was a bit strong, but the chicken flavor was solid. Overall, I enjoyed it and would like to visit again when I'm not drunk. Looking back, I realized I have been to a restaurant in the same chain before.

Today is the 3rd day of working at Gion. I wonder if it will take another week to finish? I was too tired to make a bento last night, so I decided to have lunch in Gion instead. It's been a while since I've been to Gion... A few years ago, I used to come here often for work and personal reasons. There was a kind person who took care of me here... but they passed away suddenly... which made me not want to come to Gion even more. But I need to focus on work now. I visited a place near the entrance of Gion where locals and tourists gather. Due to COVID-19 prevention measures starting from the 12th, there were quite a few people walking around. I went to Kyoto Ramen Mitsuru Gion store. They offer various types of ramen such as chicken white broth and fish broth. When I entered, there was a ticket machine to order food. I ordered the Rich Chicken White Soy Sauce Ramen for 780 yen. I decided not to get the special toppings and opted for extra noodles for 100 yen. The restaurant had counter seats, table seats, and a spacious interior. It was around 1 pm, and only a couple was dining at the same time as me. The ramen arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The broth was rich with a lot of oil on top. It came with chicken breast chashu, meatballs, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions. The soup was indeed rich as advertised, and the noodles were thick and wavy with a good texture. The chicken breast chashu was a bit rare and cold, not very flavorful. The meatballs lacked ginger flavor and were plain. The wood ear mushrooms had a crunchy texture, and the green onions were a bit dry. I finished the whole bowl and might consider revisiting, but if there are other ramen places nearby, I might choose to go there instead.

- The Ajodashi salt ramen at this restaurant is available year-round, and they are open until 10 pm every night. This place would be very convenient in the Gion area. The soup was light compared to tonkotsu ramen, so it didn't make me feel too full. How about trying it as a late-night ramen option after drinking in Gion?

Located on the right side as you go up Shijo Daimaru Street, surrounded by the drinking district of Gion, this restaurant is in a prime location that you'll want to visit after having a drink. They have other branches as well, such as Menya Bituru (Karasuma) specializing in rich Kyoto chicken white broth ramen, and Bituru (City Hall) specializing in clam broth ramen. The concept of this restaurant, Kyoto Ramen Bituru, is different, offering various tastes such as soy sauce pork back fat ramen, Chinese ramen, chicken salt ramen with jaw broth, rich chicken white broth ramen, rich spicy miso ramen, and rich chicken dipping noodles. They also have vegetarian ramen on the menu. I tried the "rich chicken dipping noodles" this time. First, I took a sip of the soup, and the strong saltiness and carefully simmered chicken aroma filled my mouth. Although it is described as rich, the soup is not thick and has a moderate viscosity that clings to the noodles just enough. The chashu comes in two types, thinly sliced and diced, with the diced one providing a satisfying texture. It also comes with a tsukune-flavored egg topping. This ramen is perfect as a finishing touch after drinking. I would like to try other menu items and ramen from their other branches. In particular, the "chicken salt ramen with jaw broth" seems to be popular, so I will challenge that next time.

On a regular Thursday at 22:50, there were no customers in the restaurant. I don't remember what ramen I ordered because I was drunk, but it was probably the Rich White Broth Ramen, White Rice, and a set of 3 pieces of fried chicken for ¥1130 including tax purchased from the ticket machine. I think it was delicious. I remember that the staff's service was good. Thank you for the meal.

By the time the date changed, I decided to try the Shijimi Ramen from the vending machine, thinking about tomorrow. When I took a sip of the soup, I could taste the rich flavor of shijimi clam broth. The thin noodles used in Hakata tonkotsu ramen were enjoyable on their own. I left satisfied.

I drank a lot in Gion~(((o(*゚▽゚*)o))) Finished off with ramen~!! So I came to this shop♪ Soy sauce ramen for 780 yen. You buy a meal ticket first and then give it to the staff. I used to like rich tonkotsu ramen after drinking, but lately I prefer soy sauce ramen. The noodles are a bit thin type. It's not particularly unique, but it was delicious. The chashu was a bit dry though. It has a casual atmosphere, so I might visit again after drinking around here. Thank you for the meal★

Hmm, I felt this way when I ate at a different store before, but I think the chicken broth is rich and thick, almost like it's been artificially thickened... It's like a chicken-y flavor? Maybe a bit gamey? It feels like it's lacking in saltiness... The chicken meatballs, chicken thigh chashu, and egg are all delicious, and the noodles go well with them. But somehow it's not really my preference. Oh, black pepper and other condiments for changing the flavor are great. My friend said the "agodashi" (fish and seaweed broth) is super tasty, so I'll definitely visit again.

Tuesday 19:05 I noticed that the restaurant has changed from Mentomesi Zakoya (ramen shop) to Bituru Gion store. On my way to Izumimon, I noticed that the store had changed. Agodashi chicken salt ramen (with seasoned egg) for 880 yen. There were two men cooking and one woman serving as staff. The atmosphere was relaxed as other customers had already been served their orders. The customers were mainly Japanese, a solo female diner, and two Chinese families. The location seemed to attract tourists for dinner as it was still early. The ramen arrived at 19:10 with toppings such as chicken chashu, chicken meatballs, green onions, and wood ear mushrooms. The soup was delicious with a rich chicken flavor, different from the strong chicken broth I had anticipated. The noodles were the same as the main store, thin and firm. There were condiments like black shichimi pepper and fruit vinegar on the table for flavor enhancement. Adding fruit vinegar made the ramen refreshing. I enjoyed the meal and would like to try other items on the menu in the future. Thank you for the meal.
