I finished work late at night and decided to visit somewhere to have a drink and sleep. By the way, the last time I went was 4 years ago, also at 2:30 in the morning. This place is a savior for late-night izakaya refugees. It was just me and it was late at night, so I ordered the specialty Beef Tail Stew for 1200 yen. Unlike last time, it was served hot and I was able to enjoy it piping hot. It may look like a lot, but the bones are quite large so it was fine for one person. Even though I should have stopped there, I was feeling a bit peckish so I also had the Assorted One-Bite Pork Cutlet Skewers for 550 yen, drank some more alcohol, and left the restaurant. It was a great place to go late at night!

On a regular Tuesday at 4:20 pm, there were no customers yet when I entered. They serve alcohol from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am, and also offer lunch, making it a great place for daytime drinking. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was comfortable. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back.

I came to Kyoto after a long time for an exhibition, and it was time for lunch. I try to avoid the 12 o'clock hour on weekdays because it competes with people who are working, and the time when restaurants over 1000 yen per customer are not so crowded. I don't eat beef ramen very often, so I decided to enter a shop that serves it. In the photo, the large tail bones are hidden behind the shredded red pepper. There are two big tail bones, which I love because I enjoy eating around the bones. There is only shichimi pepper as a condiment on the table, but the soup itself is quite peppery. The set meal included clams, eggplant, and bonito, which was nice and seasonal. There was bamboo shoot simmered dish, so I tried sinking it in the soup instead of using menma. I ate in a hurry because the noodles were thin. It was delicious. I also want to try the burdock ramen.

Good evening, it's Fuki. Today, I came to Nishioin to try a tail ramen made with beef bones. When it comes to tail ramen, I remember having a delicious one at a yakiniku restaurant called "Gon" in Kyoto, so when Akki recommended it on YouTube, I felt like trying it again. So, here I am ready to go! I arrived at the restaurant a little after 7 pm, and it seems that due to the current pandemic, they are open from 11:30 am to 8 pm. I sat at the counter seat and ordered the Beef Bone Tail Ramen for 1200 yen (includes 5 side dishes) and also got curious about the Ultimate Egg Rice for 200 yen, so I ordered that too. There was some shichimi spice on the table. After a short wait, the Ultimate Egg Rice and 5 side dishes arrived first, followed by the Tail Ramen! To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the side dishes, but they exceeded my expectations. The Egg Rice with mixed egg was delicious and I especially liked the bonito and eggplant. Now, let's dig into the Tail Ramen! When you slurp the soup, you can taste the rich beef broth in the soy sauce base. There's a subtle spice aroma, maybe a hint of sansho pepper. The thin straight noodles go perfectly with this soup. Now onto the highlight, the tail meat! Just lifting it up makes it almost fall apart. It's so tender and melts in your mouth. Enjoying the tender tail meat with the flavorful broth and noodles was a delightful experience. The side dishes were also delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. Thank you! PS: During lunchtime, rice is free, so I recommend trying the Tail Ramen after enjoying the free rice with the side dishes. Also, I asked the person who seemed like the manager if there was sansho pepper in the soup, but they said it's a secret recipe with various ingredients.

I felt like drinking outside for the first time in a while, so I went out and had some tail stew, which was delicious. My husband, who came with me, understood it so well that I wondered why I struggled to eat it the other day. It's because it's cooked so well that it easily falls off the bone. As a woman, I need to understand these things properly! Also, the daily side dishes were taro and a similar dish with squid, which were both delicious. It had that comforting, homemade taste. The meatballs had cartilage in them, which added a nice texture. Overall, everything was tasty, affordable, and I definitely want to go back. Writing this review made me hungry again!

In times like these, I visited a place that stays open until 5 in the morning. Customers were coming in and out, and I felt like having a drink. I think I had about 5 highballs. The conversation was enjoyable and I feel a bit tipsy now. I tried the main dish, which was braised oxtail, and it was delicious. It was my first time trying it, and even though it's a bit of a hassle to eat around the bones, it was worth it. We also had tsukune, sliced tomatoes, and more. Despite drinking a lot, the bill came out to around 3000 yen per person, which I think is reasonable. The pricing at this place in Nishi-Iin is quite fair.

Just as the time was about to change, instead of going straight home, I decided to have one more drink here. I felt like eating something simmered, so I ordered a sweet potato shochu on the rocks, simmered dish (980 yen?), and cucumber pickles (400 yen?). Edamame was served as a complimentary appetizer. I sipped my drink slowly while pondering things and it felt good. The simmered dish was quite generous in portion. It would be nice if they had a half-size option. But it was cooked well and tasted delicious. I ate the cucumber in between to refresh my palate. I noticed that the oxtail was a popular choice, but I couldn't eat anymore. I was too full, so I decided to stop here. I'll aim for the oxtail next time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The other night, I was looking for a place to eat and drink until morning, so I decided to try this place that was open until 5 am. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was like a typical izakaya, and the food and drinks came out pretty quickly, which was nice. The grilled skewers were delicious, especially the tsukune! I also tried the recommended braised tail, which was tender and flavorful. It goes well with both alcohol and rice.

The entrance has a counter where it seems okay to go alone. Their specialty is simmered beef tail, but they also offer a variety of Kyoto home-cooked dishes, sashimi, grilled fish, and more. Next time, I will try something other than the beef tail.

I stayed at the Rino Hotel Kyoto, which is right near the Saiin Station, so I decided to check out this restaurant as it stays open until 5 am. I always like to try something that represents the local cuisine when I visit a new place, and here it seems that the braised tail is a popular dish. To start off, they served a generous portion of long cucumber sticks, made with cucumbers from Kamigamo. They were so delicious that I ended up asking for seconds multiple times since it was free refill. The braised tail dish was served with plenty of Kujo green onions. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, cooked slowly to perfection. The shichimi pepper added a nice kick to the dish as well. I also ordered the Kyoto-style appetizer platter, grilled dishes like the pork wrapped in Man'nen-tougarashi peppers, skewers, and fried skewers. The menu had a variety of options, and despite the fact that there were only two staff members, they were very efficient in preparing and serving the food quickly. The oden was also delicious. I ended up drinking several glasses of Mega Highball that night, and by 3 am, I was full and satisfied. I stumbled upon this restaurant without knowing much about the area, but it turned out to be a great find. I ended up spending over 5000 yen due to overeating and drinking, but I think on average, it would cost around 3000 to 4000 yen per person.

When looking at the HP, it seems to be a food and beverage chain with multiple locations based around the main store in Nishikujo. This particular store in Nishiin does not have a listing. Recently, many restaurants are focusing more on their Facebook strategy rather than their website. As for this place, it seems to specialize in skewers and oxtail stew. The oxtail stew was well cooked, tender, with the gelatinous parts being delicious, and it paired well with beer. The sweet miso-like flavor and richness were also enjoyable. However, it may not be dramatically delicious. There are other places in Kyoto that specialize in stew dishes, so claiming to be the best in Kyoto might be a stretch. Nevertheless, it is relatively new and easy to enter, making it a good choice for a meal in the area. Just a reference for you.
