Visited around 13:00. There were 3-4 customers who left before me. I was briefly alone, but soon two more people arrived. I ordered the chef's choice set for 1000 yen, which included Yuba, Celery Kinpira, Freshly-made Tofu in Soy Milk, Dried Mackerel, Chicken Ham with Vegetables and Mayonnaise, Sesame-marinated Tuna, Miso Soup with Rice and Pickles. The elaborate dishes were very gentle and soothing. The miso soup was exquisite!

I visited around 12:00 on a holiday. There were 3 customers already there. I visited again on Saturday, March 19th at 12:00, but it was closed. - Omakase (Chef's choice) 1000 yen - Thin fried tofu curry stew: The curry flavor was just right, and the fried tofu was delicious! - Kasujiru (sake lees soup): The sake flavor was strong and very tasty, I would definitely want to have this again! - Homemade soy sauce-pickled mackerel with mirin: I usually don't like mirin-pickled foods, but this soy sauce-pickled mackerel was really delicious! - Small fish and sesame pickles: I forgot to take a photo, but it was served with wasabi. The sesame sauce was delicious and it came with bonito flakes. - Boiled mushrooms: It also had enoki mushrooms in it. - Fresh yuba: They served it first. - Fresh tofu: I had it with Japanese mustard, it was delicious. - Rice: The way they served the rice was like gelato, very nice. - Pickled vegetables: Beautiful pink color. It was not sweet or sour, which was good. It was salty and delicious.

I decided to search for a good restaurant near the hotel to have dinner using a map app. The comments on the map app were quite positive, so I prepared myself for a crowded place, but there were no other customers. In the end, I was the only one there. The owner was friendly and engaged in conversation when I initiated, but would look down and fiddle with something, possibly a smartphone, when the conversation paused. The food that was served was delicious. It was just by chance that it was empty, but I thought it would have been better if it had been a bit busier so I wouldn't have felt the need to talk unnecessarily.

I was intrigued by the lack of reviews for Kurimushiyoukan, a cream confectionery shop, recently. With only 1 review for this place on Yudera Oomi, I decided to give it a try since it seemed to match my preferences. The menu was quite different from the typical izakaya offerings, with items like shimesaba and blue shark on offer. They didn't have the usual izakaya staples like karaage, but they did have dishes like roast duck. Some menu items didn't have prices listed, but I decided not to worry about it. I ordered dishes like grilled pork cheeks, red konjac, and salted fish guts. The grilled pork cheeks came with soy sauce pickled rakkyo, which paired perfectly with the rich pork flavor. The roast duck was served with wine-infused sansho pepper, creating a delicious combination. It was a delightful dining experience after a long time. The salted fish guts went well with the endless supply of sake. The staff also had interesting trivia about the various sake offerings. Overall, I ordered a variety of dishes and the total bill came to around 5000 yen. Considering the quality of the food, I was very satisfied with Kurimushiyoukan. I find that restaurants with few reviews on Tabelog can be quite interesting.
