We had a seat with a perfect view of Kyoto Tower from the window! From the summer recommended menu: ⭐️ Fried summer vegetables with vinegar - a variety of summer vegetables in abundance. ⭐️ Grilled eel with plum - thick and satisfying. ⭐️ Duck breast - light and refreshing, goes well with vegetables. From the regular menu: ◇ Peppered chicken wings (5 pieces) - delicious spice and generous portion. ◇ Cabbage salad - addictive dressing. ◇ Celery pickles - a delightful celery dish. ◇ Homemade seared mackerel - thick and flavorful. ◇ Eggplant and chicken minced meat gratin - rich and tasty. ◇ Homemade chicken bone ramen - a delicious way to end the meal without going to a ramen shop! All dishes were carefully prepared and delicious. The relaxed seating allowed us to enjoy our meal without being bothered by other customers.

Private rooms are available to protect your privacy. There are many chicken dishes, so please be aware if you do not like chicken. The taste is average. For those who love fish, I recommend the sister restaurant next door on the first floor. The staff, all charming and full of energy, are young and always have smiles on their faces. Despite being busy, I had a very pleasant time. They offer a la carte all-you-can-drink. I will definitely visit again.

On a Friday before a 3-day weekend, I gathered with my colleagues and headed to Kyoto. We made a reservation at the latest branch of the "Heso" group, where we always receive great service, and our feast started at 5 pm. We were seated at a table on the 4th floor of the building, where the atmosphere was calm and the seats were nicely separated. The restaurant also had tatami seating, which was a new addition compared to other Heso locations. We started with a toast with beer to cool down our bodies. Looking at the menu, we couldn't help but be drawn to the various tempting dishes: - Delicious Chicken Mix Yaki - 5 pieces of Tebasaki (Chicken Wings) - 2 pieces of Kawa Tare Kushiyaki (Fried Skin Skewers) - Homemade Meat Gratin with Chicken and Eggplant - Hamo Otoshi Ume (Pike Conger with Plum Paste) - Homemade Seared Shime Saba (Mackerel) - [Limited Edition] Fresh Chicken Liver with Green Onions We ordered a variety of dishes that all paired well with alcohol, and everything was delicious with no disappointments. A standout dish was the finale, the "Homemade Chicken Kotteramen." The rich chicken broth spread satisfyingly in our mouths. This was not your average ramen from an izakaya! It was much tastier than some specialized shops. The staff, although inexperienced, worked hard and greeted us energetically. The restaurant is non-smoking, but there is a smoking booth available. Dining at the new branch overlooking the streets of Kyoto during the Gion Festival created a lively atmosphere, allowing us to experience a more extraordinary space than usual. Thank you as always. It was a wonderful meal.

Today, I went to an izakaya near Kyoto Station that recently opened. It's called "Wai Wai Sakaba Heso," which is a branch of the popular izakaya group "Heso" in Kyoto Station. The restaurant has private rooms and a lively atmosphere. I took the elevator to the 4th floor of the building and was seated at an open table. The menu offered a variety of drinks, including beer, highball, sour, wine, and soft drinks. They also had a special plan called "Mega Wai Wai" where you can get three times the amount for a good price. I ordered four dishes this time. 1. Kyoto-style Yuba and Namafu Agemono: Yuba and namafu fried in broth with plenty of bonito flakes. The namafu was large and had a chewy texture, while the yuba had a firm texture. The rich broth, along with bonito flakes and grated daikon, made for a delicious combination. 2. Chicken Karaage (regular size): Made with Ooyama chicken, the karaage had a crispy coating and juicy interior. It came with a generous salad, takosan wiener, and spaghetti. The karaage was seasoned with salt and pepper, and squeezing lemon over it added a nice touch. 3. Overflowing Ikura Dashi Tamago: A large portion of dashi tamago with ikura and grated daikon on top. The egg had a rich flavor from the dashi, and pairing it with ikura and daikon added a luxurious taste. 4. Toro Takuwan Tobore: A thin roll of negitoro and takuan, with a generous amount of takuan spilling out. The balance of takuan and negitoro was perfect, creating a delicious combination. After enjoying these dishes, I was quite full. I had a great meal and drinks for around 3,000 yen, which was quite reasonable. Overall, I had a good impression of this izakaya near Kyoto Station.

Great value for money. The only downside was that the drinks were a bit slow to come out.
