I visited "Furanshiya" with a rating of 3.56 on Tabelog. The location is in Higashi Ginza, a bit of a walk from the station. The restaurant is located on the basement floor, and upon descending the stairs, I found a spacious interior with many seats. The chandeliers add a touch of luxury to the ambiance. This place is popular for waffles, sandwiches, and morning meals. I had a business meeting here and tried the Clubhouse sandwich, yogurt with bacon and asparagus gratin, and salad with iced coffee. The pasta and sandwiches were delicious with familiar and comforting flavors. The highlight was the gratin, where pasta is baked with cream sauce, bringing a nostalgic taste of the past. It's a great place to enjoy the good old days.

Morning Set B for 650 yen. Ham and egg toast sandwich, salad, and a cup of hot coffee (with one refill allowed). The meeting lasted for about an hour, but it was used effectively. When my throat got dry from talking, they kindly asked if I wanted a refill, which I appreciated. I would like to continue using this restaurant in the future. Thank you for the meal.

When you descend the stairs, you will find a Western-style retro atmosphere that is more spacious than expected, with lovely chandeliers and ceilings. Classical music is playing. The Earl Grey Maron and Banana Chocolate Waffle was generous in portion but a bit too sweet. It was quiet at night, allowing for a relaxing time. I'm curious about the specialty, Spaghetti Gratin...

I used the blend coffee for 450 yen (morning) to adjust my time a bit before 10 am on Sunday. It was interesting to see the next door Starbucks, even though they are both coffee shops, they are in different worlds. The atmosphere of the old-fashioned coffee shop is lovely. The coffee was served in a cup with a wild strawberry design, which was also nice.

Tokyo Metro Ginza Line "Ginza Station" is a 1-minute walk from exits A12 and A13. It is also a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Metro and Toei Asakusa Line "Higashi-Ginza Station". This underground restaurant is popular during lunchtime, with customers in department store uniforms, office ladies, and elegant ladies filling up the seats. There were about 3 groups of customers waiting to enter. The lunch menu is extensive. The Bacon and Asparagus Gratin is priced at 1200 yen. It is a gratin with plenty of cheese and thin pasta, allowing the cheese to melt perfectly. Be careful as it is served piping hot, so watch out for burns on the first bite. It is a satisfying lunch with a substantial portion. Instagram ID: kuidaore.8.

Morning Set B for 650 yen includes a ham and egg toast sandwich, salad, and a cup of hot coffee (refills allowed). The location is convenient, open from 8 am on weekends, and is worth knowing as a breakfast spot. They don't have encryption, but you can use their Wi-Fi.

Before going to the Art Aquarium, I stopped by for brunch. The interior of the restaurant is retro-modern and exciting. There was a chandelier that got me really excited. I ordered a morning hot sandwich and an iced coffee. The portions were quite generous, but it was delicious and I finished it all quickly. The iced coffee had a nice bitterness and was delicious. I would like to try the hot coffee next time ☕️

Ginza is in chaos. Every store is packed with people. Even the cafes have long lines. This place is quite spacious, with about 60 seats, but there is only one waitress struggling to keep up with the chaos. Hang in there! Eventually, a waiter joins in and helps to stabilize the situation. Despite half of the seats being empty, customers still have to wait to be seated. It seems like they are understaffed or have cut back on shifts. It must be tough, but the owner should do something about it. I ordered an iced lemonade, which is like a more intense version of lemon tea. It's similar to the Kenyan lemonade you can find in Shibuya, but here you add the syrup yourself, so it's not too sweet unless you want it to be. Even though it's a tough situation, I'll take my time and enjoy my drink.

I can't believe there is such a great shop in Ginza! It's cheap, spacious, the service is good, and the coffee is delicious! You can also get a free refill on coffee, so it feels like a great deal. I also ordered corn soup, which was incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, so I had a great time there.

I was looking for a place to have breakfast when I came across this breakfast menu. Isn't it quite affordable? I thought and entered the restaurant. The spacious interior gave off a classy Ginza vibe, making it hard to choose where to sit. I decided on a seat near the chandelier and ordered the B set with ham and egg hot sandwich for 650 yen. They explained that coffee refills were free, which I found to be a wonderful offer in this day and age. After serving the coffee, the hot sandwich arrived promptly. It looked delicious with ham and egg, perfect for a satisfying meal without feeling too heavy. The bread was toasted just right, adding to the overall deliciousness of the sandwich.

When you go underground, you'll be surprised by the wide store interior with elegant atmosphere and chandeliers. I ordered a blend (hot) coffee, which was strong and bitter. I was happy to get a free refill. It seems to be part of the English House chain. Come to think of it, the atmosphere is similar!

Visited Frenchyaya for the first time. Located behind Matsuya Ginza, down the stairs of a building, a lovely space welcomes you. The atmosphere is wonderful, but what's really great is the lively vibe! There were several groups of people who seemed to be in business meetings (I assumed they were Matsuya staff), creating a nice energetic morning atmosphere that got me excited too. I chose the B set, and true to its name, the sandwich was crispy, with a unique crispiness that made me wonder how it was toasted. I didn't order them, but I think you could get refills of hot coffee and iced coffee (probably...). Such a generous offer~ I definitely want to go back soon.

I visited this place for breakfast after a long time. It was around 9:30 am on a Saturday and there were still plenty of seats available, so I was seated right away. Despite the prices going up a bit since my last visit a few years ago, they still offer a reasonable price for breakfast. This place is located behind Matsuya Ginza, in a prime location. I'm grateful for the affordable prices, but I can't help but worry about how the business is doing. Maybe I should order something more expensive to support them, but I end up taking advantage of their kindness (^◇^;) This time, I had the Morning Set B (650 yen), and they still offer free refills for drinks. Their service is just too good. The gorgeous chandelier in the center and the classic background music with calming lighting remain the same. The customers here are mostly older, which creates a calming atmosphere. The Starbucks next door is always crowded and popular in the mornings. But if breakfast here is only 650 yen, cheaper and more peaceful than Starbucks, I think I'll keep coming back here. Next time, I'll try coming for tea time.

Visited the restaurant for lunch after work today. I arrived around 2 pm and found the interior calm with 4-5 groups of people and 2 pairs. It was a very hot day outside, but I wanted something warm, so I chose the half-boiled egg and tsukune doria. Although I ordered it as a single item, it came with coffee as it was lunch, and you could get one free refill - very generous! The piping hot doria was topped with plenty of cheese, and the edges were crispy, which I wanted to eat but couldn't peel off. The crispy cheese was delicious... I also tried adding Tabasco and powdered cheese they brought to the table, and it was surprisingly tasty. I realized Tabasco is more suited for pizza. The free coffee refill was a great deal. As more customers arrived, the place quickly filled up, and I felt lucky to have gotten a seat in just 20 minutes. Another great day! Thank you for the meal.

I returned to working in Ginza for a while, and my feet always end up swelling at the familiar shop I used to frequent. Having breakfast here before heading to work is my on/off switch. This day, I arrived at the shop at the odd time of 10:30 am for a flextime shift, so the place was empty. I haven't been here in about 4 years, but I still love the classical atmosphere. Breakfast is served until 11 am, so I ordered my usual B set with an extra soup. The consistent taste always soothes me. If you're looking for breakfast in Ginza, I recommend Butlanshiya.

I asked for research for a friend who loves gratin. It was a lunch meeting with three women. When looking at the menu, there were several types of gratin, but only one type of gratin using pasta. It was Bacon and Asparagus Spaghetti Gratin. It comes with a drink for ¥1,200, and you can add a mini salad for an extra ¥100. We ordered it with the salad. The salad was served. It was crispy lettuce with bacon bits and delicious French dressing. I wanted more... (laughs) The gratin seemed to have been prepared in advance, as it was brought out right after we finished the salad. The bubbling white sauce with melted cheese looked delicious. There were bacon on top and 3 pieces of asparagus. Since the spaghetti was not covered in sauce, there were many parts that were stiff. Maybe the gratin would have been better... This place seems more suitable for relaxing and having a good conversation rather than just coming to eat. The interior is spacious with a relaxed table layout, not too quiet. Even during lunchtime. Most customers are groups of 2-3 women or individuals, with only one male customer, a couple. The staff were kind and provided a calm service. Next time, I would like to try the gratin with pasta. Thank you for the meal.

【Français-ya】- Bacon and Asparagus Gratin ¥1,200
Ginza 3-chome, behind Matsuya Ginza
Due to the recent surge in egg prices, the popular oven-baked omurice is temporarily unavailable (cries). After much deliberation, I chose the Bacon and Asparagus Gratin. Comes with a drink (refills allowed once).
The sizzling gratin baked in the oven was delicious. The piping hot spaghetti coated in rich béchamel sauce was extremely tasty. The iced coffee served before and after the meal was satisfying.
I enjoyed a leisurely time on the comfortable single sofa and fully indulged in my holiday. Once the egg prices stabilize, I want to have a rematch with the omurice!

When trying to take a break at a café in Ginza, it can be difficult to find a place with available seating. However, I think this place is a hidden gem. Located just outside Tokyo Metro Ginza Station, it is tucked away behind Matsuya Ginza. It opened in 1980 and has a retro, warm atmosphere that is lovely. Despite being in a prime location, the seating is comfortable with plush sofas and a spacious, cozy feel. It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind, and I almost don't want to share this hidden gem with anyone else.

I arrived around 3 o'clock and there were many customers, so there were no empty tables for 4 people and I had to wait a little. I was able to sit down in about 5 minutes. Today, I had the usual half-cooked egg and tsukune doria with ice lemon tea. I tried various dishes, but this one is still the most delicious.

Today, I felt like having lunch at a cafe, so I went to Frenchya, a cafe in Ginza that has been around for a long time. When I arrived at the shop around 12 o'clock on a weekday, the place was almost full. The cafe is located underground and mainly has table seats. Classical music was playing, creating a very calm atmosphere. It gives off the impression of a traditional cafe. The menu offers a variety of cafe dishes such as sandwiches, gratin, and spaghetti. I ordered the Waffle Sandwich (ham and egg) set with salad and coffee. The set was served in about 15 minutes. The waffle sandwich had egg salad, ham, and cucumber sandwiched between fluffy waffles. It came with a green salad and coffee. The waffle sandwich had a unique texture and sweetness compared to a regular sandwich. The waffles were not overly sweet and were delicious. The green salad was simple with French dressing. The coffee was delicious with a strong bitterness. It was my first time trying this kind of sandwich.
