The "Jagabata-dama" (potato and butter balls) and the "Mentaiko Monja" (spicy cod roe pancake) were delicious! The staff kindly explained how to eat them, and even took the crispy bits off the hot plate for us to enjoy. However, I found the other menu items to be a bit lacking in flavor and a bit bland. The only downside was that the restroom had a slightly musty smell from the drain. Overall, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, with a good parking lot. I think this place deserves more recognition!

I crossed Kyusei Bridge and headed towards Keigan Ion, where I always saw the sign but couldn't visit during the day. There is a parking lot in front of the shop, which was convenient. I was a bit nervous as I entered the shop, as it didn't feel like a typical monjayaki place. Jazz music was playing and driftwood was used for decoration, creating a nice atmosphere. I wanted to eat monjayaki, so I ordered the classic monjayaki and added mentaiko topping with squid. I cooked it myself. The taste was average. The horumon yaki was smaller and thinner than I expected. The okonomiyaki was delicious, and I liked that they brought soy sauce and mayonnaise for me to use as I liked. Although the tables were not too close to each other, a customer sat at the next table and they quickly put up a curtain divider, creating a more comfortable space. I was able to enjoy my meal without worrying about the neighboring table. Thank you for the meal.

The taste, of course, but I evaluate based on whether I was moved or excited. - Points of Emotion: A wide variety of monjayaki types, attention to detail, friendly staff who teach you how to cook. - Wasteful: Checking Instagram posts First, I apologize. About the evaluation. What is written here is purely my subjective opinion, and I am scoring based not only on taste but also on whether I was excited or not. I came across this restaurant after watching a TV program featuring monjayaki and feeling like eating it. There are no monjayaki shops in Kansai, so this place stood out with its wide range of monjayaki menu options. Of course, they also had okonomiyaki and teppanyaki on the menu, all of which looked delicious, but we decided to order the monjayaki. It was around 1000 yen each. The staff kindly taught us how to cook and when to add toppings. There was a file with detailed instructions on how to cook, and we had a fun conversation while making it with the person I went with. The taste was delicious, especially the mentaiko mochi cheese. The combination of Kansai-style dashi with a hint of white pepper and the spicy taste of mentaiko was delightful. The burnt parts that the staff came to remove at the perfect timing were also delicious. We ate happily in the slightly cool interior with jazzy Christmas songs playing in the background (even though it's summer now). We went around 6 pm on a weekday, and we were the only customers, so the dishes were served promptly. After enjoying a leisurely time and feeling full, when we were about to leave, we tried posting a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #ichirobe, which would give us a 5% discount, as mentioned. The kind staff who handled the payment showed it to the owner(?) to check if the post was done properly. He then asked for my smartphone to check it, and he took it to the back, fiddling with it for a while. While saying, "Is this okay? Is it done?" to another staff member in the back. I felt uncomfortable with my smartphone being fiddled with for a while, even though I didn't know how to operate it well, despite having the payment staff check it already. It was disappointing. However, if such incidents did not happen, I think the taste was delicious and enjoyable enough.

It's very delicious. The location may be hard to find, but it's definitely worth a visit. I recommend trying the tonpei-yaki. Monjayaki is also a safe choice.

I arrived at the restaurant after about a 10-minute walk from Keigan Station East Exit. The first thing I noticed was the great atmosphere of the place! It's a restaurant that would be perfect for a date. The menu offers a wide variety of okonomiyaki and monjayaki dishes, so if you go with someone, I recommend ordering a few dishes to share. I will definitely go back again.

I was surprised to find this newly renovated restaurant here! It is very clean and having a parking lot is a big plus. If you enter by 7pm on weekdays, you can get a draft beer for only ¥150, which is a great deal! The staff are not very friendly, but the jazz and oldies music playing in the modern and beautiful interior create a nice atmosphere for a date. This restaurant is rare in Kansai and offers okonomiyaki, but this time I wasn't in the mood for okonomiyaki so I tried their new menu item, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. The taste was average.

This is a rare Monja-yaki restaurant in this area. The shop is a bit small, but it has a parking lot and the inside is clean. The instructions on how to make Monja are written, but even if you don't understand, the staff will teach you. There are plenty of toppings, and I always add Baby Star Ramen when I eat.
