Before returning to Nagoya, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the Donburi Shijo Teramachi branch for some okonomiyaki. It seems to be a chain restaurant. We asked for someone else to drive us back and started with a draft beer, then moved on to highballs and even sake, getting a bit carried away. The food options were varied, from yakisoba and yakisoba to fluffy okonomiyaki and negiyaki, everything was delicious. It's a popular chain restaurant.

After enjoying a course meal at Kyo Koya, I felt it would be a waste to just head back to the hotel, so I wandered around looking for a second place to visit. I found a restaurant that was eligible for the Gotoeat campaign on Hot Pepper, but unfortunately, they only accepted online reservations until 7 pm that day. However, since they were open until 1 am, I decided to give it a try. I ordered a medium bottle of beer, pork kimchi yakisoba, garlic stir-fried sandfish, and negiyaki. The sizzling sounds on the hot plate were really nice. It was a cozy experience. If you're looking for a second place to visit, this might be a good option.｡◕‿◕｡

I visited the restaurant around 5:30 pm on Saturday. It was the weekend, but I was able to get a seat quickly because it was a little early and also the current season. The restaurant has booth seats on both sides of the aisle, separated by vinyl sheets for social distancing. I started with a beer and ordered okonomiyaki and another dish. I sometimes forget to take pictures of the food once I start drinking beer. The yakisoba had a decent amount of ingredients, not too many but not too few. The portion of the additional dish was a bit small, but it was just right for sharing between two people. The staff were quite attentive, which made for a comfortable dining experience. I felt reassured by the social distancing measures in place, so I would consider visiting again soon. Thank you, I will visit again.

In Kyoto, there is a well-known teppanyaki restaurant that everyone loves! I usually go to the Nishikojin or Shijo Omiya branch, but I decided to try another location this time. When I entered, there were no customers on the second floor! I wonder if they were up there? The staff were oddly busy, running around! They seemed to be working hard, so it was still okay! On the other hand, there was another staff member who was moving slowly... It seemed like they were a student part-timer. Maybe that's why? The taste should be the same, but the atmosphere and staff can affect the overall experience! Maybe I should stick to my usual branch next time... The taste probably won't change!

The beginning of the trip to Kyoto. We gathered here at night to start off. Even though it wasn't late at night, there were many customers crowded here. It's said that there's no clear winner when it comes to okonomiyaki restaurants, but here at "Donguri," they always provide a wide variety of menu options to enjoy. I definitely want to visit this place again.

I went to Donguri for the first time. I went early, so it was not crowded and I could eat in a calm atmosphere. The okonomiyaki was fluffy and very delicious! I also loved the crispy fried chicken cartilage.

You can find okonomiyaki with a thick yet light texture at any store you go to. I don't like that smoking is allowed and ordering via a touch screen.

I have visited this place many times. It's a good option when you want to eat and drink cheaply and deliciously. The okonomiyaki is tasty and reasonably priced. My recommendation is the lotus root and shrimp dish - it goes great with beer!

Went to a teppanyaki restaurant with my colleagues after work. I like okonomiyaki but don't have many chances to eat it. There were 9 of us, but we managed to sit comfortably at the table. Although there was a teppan grill on the table, the staff offered to cook for us due to the large group. We had okonomiyaki, negiyaki, yakisoba, and some a la carte dishes. The Kujo negi (leek) was sweet. The a la carte dishes were served on plates that could be placed directly on the teppan grill, keeping them warm. I accidentally touched one and got a minor burn. A female staff member quickly brought an ice pack to cool it down. It was past midnight and the restaurant was closing, but I was surprised and touched that she didn't overlook it. The food was delicious, but I realized the power of good service is significant.

The day after visiting USJ, we stayed at a hotel in the city center to explore Kyoto. We wanted to eat something typical of Kyoto, so we went to Kawaramachi. We ended up at this restaurant because we have a elementary school-aged child and it seemed convenient. We arrived around 7 pm and the restaurant was full, so we had to wait for about 10 minutes. Although it turns into an izakaya at night, my wife doesn't drink alcohol, so she only had one highball. We decided to order yakisoba, okonomiyaki, gyoza, pork belly, and lotus root with shrimp. The drinks for three people came out quickly, but the food came out slowly, one dish at a time. The dishes were decent for the price, and we were able to try a variety of items. We were given the option of choosing thin or thick noodles for the okonomiyaki, and the staff recommended thin noodles. However, the thin noodles were overcooked and too firm, so we felt that the thick noodles would have been better.

I stopped by this restaurant after having dinner in Pontocho and doing some shopping. I was still a little hungry and craving something with strong flavors. It was a spontaneous find on our way back, and I brought my parents along for a second round of eating. The visit was on May 25th, 2015, around 8:30 pm. We ordered okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and lemon sour. The food took about 20 minutes to be served. The okonomiyaki was cooked on a hot plate and brought to our table. It was thin and large, with a choice of sweet or spicy sauce. The yakisoba had thick noodles, chewy texture, and a deliciously rich flavor. The restaurant had a stylish and clean atmosphere, with storage space under the chairs to keep belongings. They seem to prioritize Kyoto ingredients in their dishes. I was worried the okonomiyaki might be too bland, but it turned out to be flavorful. The staff was polite, and we were able to end our day on a good note.

In the area around Kyoto, the chain restaurant "Donguri" is quite famous for its okonomiyaki. While the store at Shijo Kawaramachi is more well-known and prosperous, this new store is also nearby. Surprisingly, it closes early in the night, around midnight, but both the Shijo Kawaramachi store and this one are open until 3 am, which is convenient. The teppanyaki and "konomono" (flour-based dishes) are consistently delicious. It's a great place to introduce friends from outside of Kansai to the taste of the region. The second floor of the restaurant has a long layout, similar to the sleeping area of eels. The tables are separated by dividers, creating a comfortable space. As mentioned earlier, the taste is good. The service is standard, and the staff's interactions are decent. Overall, it is a convenient and user-friendly restaurant.

My family visited the restaurant on a typhoon day. We originally planned to visit at night, but due to the typhoon, we went there in the early afternoon. The taste was really good. I recommend the okonomiyaki. The negiyaki and betayaki were delicious too, but the fluffy texture of the okonomiyaki was exquisite. We also tried two types of yakisoba. The tantan yakisoba was the best. The spiciness and minced meat were amazing. The salad was also delicious. The tofu was good. There were also foreign customers. I would definitely like to visit again.

I ordered two types of yakisoba, mentaiko mayo yakisoba, sauce yakisoba, two okonomiyaki, and standard seafood hiyayakko. The speed of service was a bit slow, as I had to wait quite a while. I visited after 10 pm, so it wasn't too busy. The taste of the food was good. The okonomiyaki is served plain, with two types of sauce available on the table for you to adjust to your liking. They are open late into the night, so I would consider revisiting.

There are a variety of drinks available, including drinks that use Kyoto-style matcha, such as matcha shochu highball, showing attention to detail in the menu. The menu also features creatively named dishes like "Lotus Root with Packed Shrimp." The flavors are all delicious and are seasoned on the stronger side, meant to be enjoyed with alcohol. The sauce is tasty, especially the karadare sauce, which is unique and delicious compared to the okonomiyaki places around. The curry yakisoba is also delicious.
