Assorted iron plate skewers and a small side dish for 2200 yen. Complimentary appetizer of semi-dried fig with sesame vinegar dressing. Beef tataki. Shrimp chili. Pork tongue. Eggplant Bolognese. Chicken Nanban. Additional orders: Braised beef tendon for 900 yen. Thinly sliced pork with sauce for 400 yen. Pork okonomiyaki for 350 yen. I thought it was an okonomiyaki restaurant, but it turned out to be a skewer restaurant that cooks on an iron plate. The atmosphere is stylish with a focus on counter seating. It feels a bit pricey, but the taste is decent.

I used it for dinner during my trip to Kyoto. I didn't have a specific plan for dinner at the inn, so I decided to go out into the city and look for a place to eat. As soon as I left the inn, I noticed a place called "Teppan Kushiyaki" and decided to go in. I had never heard of Teppan Kushiyaki before, but it turns out it's skewers grilled on a hot plate. Everything I ordered was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the nama-fu dango, oysters, tonpei-yaki, and cabbage. They were all creative dishes. And then I saw "kumoko" (cod milt) on the menu! I immediately ordered it tempura style. It was delicious! Creamy and tasty! The yakisoba for the finishing touch was also good. It's always a great feeling to randomly walk into a restaurant and have a great meal!

I visited for the first time in a year, following last year's visit. Despite the connection being made with Corona (lol), it was quite crowded in the past, but this time it seemed to have some impact, so I was able to make a reservation easily over the phone. Anyway, the teppanyaki taste was of course excellent, but what stood out the most was the staff's thoughtfulness, which was just as pleasant as before. Just being able to confirm that made the revisit worthwhile. There are so many skewers that have been devised, it's hard to choose, but that in itself is part of the enjoyment of visiting the restaurant. Please refer to the photo captions for details on the dishes.

Today's lunchtime, I decided to revisit this restaurant that has resumed its lunch service. It pains me to see the restaurants around my company facing tough times again due to the request for shortened business hours from Kyoto Prefecture. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed only one other customer besides myself. I was seated at the end of the counter, where a heater at my feet helped warm up my freezing body. It truly felt like a hospitable gesture from the restaurant. The lunch menu had become simpler compared to my first visit. I ordered the "Salt Yakisoba (700 yen)" with a "Fried Egg (100 yen)" topping. The piping hot salt yakisoba was served on a round iron plate. I squeezed some lemon over it halfway through. The half-cooked fried egg was a delightful addition. Although the current situation is unfortunate, I am grateful for being able to enjoy the delicious yakisoba at Zoronpa once again. While being mindful not to contribute to the increase in infections (both for myself and others), I hope to play my part in keeping the economy moving forward and avoiding excessive stress. Thank you for the meal.

A teppanyaki restaurant near Shijo Kawaramachi that is popular among locals in their 30s and 40s. While not necessarily requiring a reservation, it can be difficult to get a table without one due to its popularity. The atmosphere at the counter seats creates a lively experience, different from what I had imagined before visiting. They serve a variety of dishes that pair well with beer, sake, and wine. The seafood is of unexpectedly high quality, and they seem to make an effort to offer a good selection of meat dishes as well. The marinated mackerel with grated daikon is delicious, and the popular jumbo shrimp is crispy and flavorful. The simmered dish with plenty of Kujo green onions and offal is also excellent. The homemade country-style pate goes well with both wine and shochu, and is perfect for sharing with friends. The chef's skillful cooking technique is impressive, and the staff are attentive.

I decided to make my first visit to this restaurant that started offering lunch service and takeout for the day. The lunch menu can be seen on a sign outside the restaurant. I was seated at the end of the L-shaped counter. According to the official website, due to the spread of the new coronavirus, they have refrained from dine-in service since April 14th, and started takeout service from April 16th. There were a few regular customers who greeted the staff as they entered the restaurant. I ordered the "Salt Yakisoba (750 yen)" with an additional fried egg for 100 yen. Surprisingly, the yakisoba was served as a teppanyaki dish for a lunch menu. It came with fresh chopped green onions and a lemon, adding a luxurious touch. The perfectly cooked half-boiled fried egg added to the anticipation. The salt yakisoba looked delicious just by appearance. From the moment I took a bite, a deep umami flavor overwhelmed me. Perhaps the most delicious salt yakisoba I have ever had? The chewy noodles were infused with flavor, making it hard to finish because of its deliciousness. The generous amount of ingredients made it feel like a stir-fried vegetable dish. This is definitely a repeat-worthy dish. The situation must be tough for the restaurant, but by offering lunch service and takeout, they are gaining more fans. Next time, should I go for a repeat of the salt yakisoba? Or try the sauce yakisoba? The Napolitan also caught my interest... Once the corona panic subsides and they resume evening service, I would love to try Zoronpa's evening menu with some alcohol. I feel grateful for the experience of trying this salt yakisoba. Thank you for the meal. For more details, please refer to my blog [Kokoromano "Ma"] https://ameblo.jp/39lohas/entry-12590842824.html

I decided to stop by a yakitori and teppanyaki restaurant after leaving the first place early and feeling unsatisfied. It turned out to be a great find! They served delicious dishes such as foie gras terrine, horse meat sashimi, grilled abalone, steamed egg custard, lamb meat, and apple soup. They also had a variety of sake available, which I enjoyed drinking a lot.

Thank you very much! Happy New Year! I found a delicious-looking restaurant while walking around without any research on New Year's Eve. It was crowded, but I managed to find a seat just in time. Although it is a skewer specialty shop, they also offer sashimi, various side dishes, and a wide range of menu items. I ordered fresh cod milt, changja (Korean spicy fish stew), assorted sashimi, tessa (blowfish sashimi), cold noodles, vinegar-marinated octopus, fresh surf smelt, various skewers, etc. Every dish was of high quality and I was very satisfied! Sitting at the counter allows you to watch the chefs prepare the dishes in front of you, which is also enjoyable. Although the restaurant has a low rating on Tabelog, I believe it is a hidden gem. I would love to go back again.

I went with my friends to a favorite restaurant. The restaurant has a large counter with a big teppanyaki grill in front of it. We chose a private room. They serve a variety of dishes like fish, meat, and okonomiyaki. There are different types of horse sashimi to choose from. It was hard to decide what to order. The okonomiyaki is served on skewers or rolled up. There are many different skewers to choose from, which was really fun and delicious. The menu is extensive, and there are still many dishes I haven't tried yet. I definitely want to visit again soon.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy creatively grilled skewers and seasonal fish. They also offer a selection of carefully chosen Japanese sake and wine. The restaurant is run seriously. The current rating on Tabelog seems a bit too low. It's a great place.

Visited a teppanyaki skewer restaurant alone at night. It's a recommended place and was almost full even after 10 pm. I had the chef's choice of five skewers for 2,200 yen, along with beer and a glass of red wine, totaling 3,750 yen. The skewers were all delicious. However, in terms of cost performance, it's not the best. It might be a bit expensive compared to other nearby skewer restaurants. Thank you for the meal! ♫

I visited a newly opened teppanyaki-style grilled skewers restaurant in March. They offer a variety of skewers, ranging from traditional to creative dishes, priced around 200 to 500 yen per skewer. I ordered the chef's selection set which came with 5 skewers and a small side dish for 1800 yen. The skewers included beef, pork belly, eggplant bolognese, potato with anchovy garlic butter, and bamboo shoot with young leaves. All were delicious, especially the eggplant bolognese and bamboo shoot skewers. The sashimi platter featured bluefin tuna, octopus, horse mackerel, grilled conger eel, and kue fish, all fresh and tasty. The horse meat platter included both lean and fatty cuts, served slightly frozen for you to enjoy at your preferred level of thaw. The horse meat was delicious, especially when layered and eaten together. The tempura of red snapper roe was also excellent. I also tried the wagyu hamburger and grilled squid with plum and shiso, both of which were delicious. The yakisoba noodles I had for dessert had a great texture and flavor. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for those looking to try a variety of dishes.
