Yorokobi-ya Ramen: Finally tried this place. I had decent expectations coming here, but the result was disappointing. I ordered the default ramen, but the soup was a bit lukewarm, the seasoning was too strong, and the pork fat was tasty. Maybe the taste would change if the chef changes, but I won't be visiting again. The best part was the pickled plum they served at the beginning (laughs).

I thought that Rakuraku-tei was a touch panel ordering system, but here the staff come to take your order. I decided to try something different and ordered the cold noodles with a side of half-fried rice and deep-fried chicken set. It cost 1360 yen. Since the bowl was made of stainless steel, I thought it might be a soup dish, but when I asked if I could add some spice, they offered to add spicy sesame sauce. The cold noodles had a nice texture, and the deep-fried chicken at Rakuraku-tei was new to me, but it was large and crispy, with a simple flavor. It tasted great dipped in the sesame sauce. The honey pickled plum on the table was also good.

The wonton noodles were delicious! I had a set of fried rice and dumplings with a large serving of wonton noodles. It was the perfect time between lunch and dinner to leisurely enjoy my meal. I requested the chashu with fatty meat and it was amazing!

Ramen restaurant Koraitei was a chain that I hadn't visited much before, but last weekend, I happened to stop by the Noshu Main Store and got a free voucher for their anniversary event. So, before the expiration date, this week my family and I went to the Ichijoji Store near our home. I ordered the ramen (700 yen) with an additional fried chicken set (+330 yen). The noodles were firm, with plenty of green onions and a hint of spice. My family ordered the rich ramen (780 yen), but my favorite is definitely the default Kyoto-style chicken broth soy sauce ramen. This ramen can easily hold its own against a certain long-established ramen shop in Kyoto, with its tender sliced pork and the atmosphere of chili pepper and pork fat floating on the soy sauce soup. The fried rice also has a savory and spicy soy sauce flavor that is addictively delicious. The fried chicken not only tastes great but also has a generous portion. Just like my previous visit to the main store, the employees at this branch (Ichijoji Store) were very attentive and professional. Their friendly demeanor, attention to detail in taking orders for different noodle firmness and flavor intensity, and swift service were impressive. It's amazing how consistent the taste and service are between the main store and the branch. The kids also enjoyed the meal and ate more than usual, making Koraitei a welcome choice for family dining chains. It was delicious once again today. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on Monday evening, July 15, 2019 at 3pm. The restaurant was about 20% full, which is expected for 3pm. I ordered the limited quantity maze soba that starts at 3pm. I confirmed that garlic was included by default, so I requested it to be removed. I had to wait a bit for the dish to be served. The noodles were thick, which may have affected the taste. Surprisingly, I found the flavor to be protein-rich. It was definitely strong, but not as intense as other places I've tried.

There is a spacious tatami room where you can relax, and we have been using it since our children were young. The taste is a family favorite that everyone agrees on. The menu is extensive, so we can occasionally order different dishes. We visit for lunch on holidays a few times a year. The pickled plum is also delicious and leaves a refreshing taste in the mouth. The restroom is kept clean.

In addition to the basic soy sauce ramen, there are also salt ramen and miso ramen. Among miso ramen, there are further variations like red miso ramen and spicy miso ramen, as well as mixed noodles. Toppings are plentiful, so it's enjoyable to go with friends or family who have different preferences. It seems that mixed noodles take some time to prepare, as they can only be ordered from 3 pm. I enjoyed the spicy ramen which increased my appetite, but unfortunately, they don't offer a large serving size. I didn't ask for the reason why...

Ordered the fried rice set with a strong flavor. Since Ryugen was closed, I had a different chef. The taste was stronger but it didn't turn into a black flavor (lol). The strong flavor of the soup helped to eliminate the water smell of the bamboo shoots. For summer and winter, a stronger flavor might be recommended.

I ordered curry ramen, which was similar to curry udon. The spiciness was about the same as the basic level at CoCo Ichibanya. I asked for the noodles to be firm, but they were still soft. The finely chopped raw onions added a nice texture and were good.

No mistake, delicious. Perfect for families.

It is rare to find a 650 yen fried rice in this area, but the soy sauce-based ramen here is a bit too strong in soy sauce flavor and is just average.

The image of the main store being in Ichijoji is so strong, so I was surprised to learn that the main store of RaRaitei is in Shiga. It's been so long since I've had RaRaitei that I almost forgot what it tastes like. I ordered the rich ramen and fried rice. I took a sip of the soup. Hmm, it's not that bad. I wish it had a bit more punch though. My friend had the soy sauce ramen and the soup was surprisingly light, and I think I prefer the lighter soy sauce flavor. The fried rice was decent, not too thin or too thick, but it lacked depth or something. It's more on the lighter side, so those who like that might enjoy it. Thanks for the meal☆

I visited Kitaritei Ichijoji store. I ordered the curry ramen, which is known for being delicious. They offer free rice (in large, medium, or small size) as a lunch service, which was a nice bonus. The ramen noodles were thick, unlike the usual thin noodles at Kitaritei. The curry was surprisingly thick and flavorful. Mixing the rice into the curry could be a good idea! Personally, I prefer thin noodles, but I couldn't change it. The combination of curry and ramen was really delicious. I would like to try it again if I have the chance. It was a great experience at Kitaritei!

This is a ramen restaurant called "Rairai-tei Ichijoji" in Ichijoji, Kyoto. The restaurant is family-friendly with a spacious parking lot. I ordered the "Umakara Men" level 2 spicy (790 yen) with a side of white rice, my wife ordered the "Shio Ramen" (690 yen), and my son ordered the "Tonkotsu Ramen and Fried Rice Set" (840 yen). The "Umakara Men" was quite spicy with a good texture of noodles and the minced meat in the soup blended well. The egg was a seasoned egg, which was a fresh touch compared to the usual minced meat and scrambled egg. I also tried the rice with the soup after finishing the noodles, and the pickled plum on the table was a nice surprise. The saltiness of the ramen was a bit too much for my wife and son, but I enjoyed it. The fried rice was average, but the saltiness of the ramen seemed to be the main issue for them. Overall, it was a mixed review among my family, but it was a nice lunch outing together.
