Located just across from the Hachijo exit of Kyoto Station, down the alley to the right of the karaoke and pachinko parlor. It's about a 4-5 minute walk from the Hachijo exit. The restaurant has 3 counter seats, a table for 4, and two tables for 4 in the tatami room. The okonomiyaki here is very traditional, they say "This is Kansai-style okonomiyaki" and they're not wrong. I used to visit occasionally after work when I was working in Kyoto. We would sit in the tatami room with 3-4 people, order okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and teppanyaki dishes like hormone and salt stir-fried gizzards, poke at each other's food, drink beer or chu-hai, and have a little reflection session, like a typical izakaya experience. Of course, I also saw tourists just sitting at the counter eating okonomiyaki, probably just stopping by for that. It's so close to the station. Both commuters and tourists find it convenient. You can ask for the bill 20 minutes before your Shinkansen departure and still have plenty of time. Plus, since there are plenty of dining options in the Kyoto Station building and the underground famous food street, you have a good chance of finding a seat here. It's a local-friendly place, so visitors to Kyoto can feel comfortable using it as well.

Tetchan, sujibiyaki, chijimi, and more are all delicious!! Of course, okonomiyaki and soba were also very tasty. There are also Korean-style dishes that are delicious. When I used to visit Kyoto from Osaka, I would always stop by Yumemiya to drink and eat before taking the train back. The food is delicious and very affordable. It's a hidden gem for locals. Sometimes it can be crowded and you can't get in, but the taste is always guaranteed. I often go alone and feel comfortable eating there. The location is right across the pedestrian crossing from Kyoto Station, so it's convenient for those who want to drink alcohol and have quick access to trains or taxis. The beer at ¥390 is a lifesaver. If you become friendly with the owner's mother, there seems to be a secret menu as well...
