Located right next to Roppongi Station, this bakery does everything from preparation to baking in the workshop on the second floor. A regular on the prestigious list of top 100 bakeries in Tokyo on Tabelog, this bakery is known for using natural yeast and long fermentation in a stone oven. Despite its prime location in Roppongi, most of their bread is priced in the 200 yen range, making it affordable and diverse. As soon as they open in the morning, customers flock in one after another to this popular bakery. I have tried their scones and savory bread before, and this time I decided to try their hard bread for the first time.
- Campagne Baguette 270 yen
Made with 30% rye, this baguette is fermented with natural yeast and raisin starter at low temperatures for a long time, resulting in a well-balanced flavor of sweetness and acidity. The deep brown crust and firm surface give off a sweet aroma. The crust is not too hard, leaning towards a softer texture, while the crumb is moist and fluffy. The strong aroma of natural yeast is evident, truly capturing the essence of L'atelier du Pain. This baguette is delicious on its own, but its firmness also makes it suitable for sandwiches. I was truly impressed by their skill and quality.

◼️This shop makes all its bread from scratch on the second floor of the building, including fermentation, shaping, and baking. They use natural yeast and bake high-hydration, slow-fermented dough in stone ovens. ◆They use Snow Brand Express Butter (fermented butter) for their croissants. Members of the Korean group "Seventeen" visited the shop, filmed a segment, and enjoyed the food.◼️The shop accepts payment via transportation IC cards. They have a self-oven at the packing station in the store. The artisans, who trained under the pioneer of the overnight method (low-temperature, long fermentation), Katsuei Shiga, opened this new bakery in 2012 in pursuit of their ideal bread shop.◼️The shop also has a cafe and a wine shop, creating a fun and enjoyable space.

A bakery in Roppongi that stays open late, which is convenient. I didn't really like the melon pan, but the salted bread was delicious with its soft and buttery dough.

This is a shop that has been selected as one of the top 100 bread shops. I tried their specialty "Roppongi red bean bun", double cream bun, and Roppongi salted red bean butter bun. The bread dough was chewy and very delicious. The Roppongi red bean bun was generously filled with red beans from Tokachi. The double cream bun had plenty of fresh cream and custard cream, making it very sweet and substantial. The Roppongi salted red bean butter bun had a good balance of salt, red beans, and butter, and was delicious. I would like to visit again when I am nearby.

I had mochi chocolate and tuna egg sandwich. As expected from a famous shop, the portions were satisfying. The mochi was unlike anything I've had before, breaking my shallow pride of thinking mochi should be chewy. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The fromage was really oily, so I felt guilty, but it was quite delicious. The tuna tomato Danish had a strong tuna and tomato flavor which was good. The banana noa was a bit sweet, but the sweetness was mild and easy to eat.

While on my way to Roppongi Station, I found a bakery that had high ratings on Tabelog, so I decided to buy some pastries as souvenirs. I purchased two croissants for 290 yen each, a pain au chocolat for 320 yen, a mentaiko cheese bread for 200 yen, and a rum raisin and cream cheese pastry for 260 yen (excluding tax). After buying them, I went for a drink and accidentally squished the croissants and pain au chocolat, so I don't have a picture. The croissants were sweet and fragrant, while the mentaiko cheese bread was chewy. The rum raisin and cream cheese pastry was delicious the moment it touched my tongue. It was small but dense, with plenty of cream cheese. I liked this one the most. Overall, I think the dough is delicious. I'm glad I stumbled upon this great bakery. Thank you for the meal.

I came across a charming red tent facade shop that caught my eye. It seemed quiet on a holiday afternoon, so I went in for some bread and found a wine shop and a Western-style restaurant with a small bakery section. I was told that I could also dine in, and the atmosphere at the Italian restaurant Sakura was very nice. Although it was a one-drink minimum order, I was quite satisfied. The coffee was a little over 600 yen, and the latte was 720 yen. The sausage and egg salt muffin was around 350 yen, but it was incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. The bread was firm, with just the right amount of salt for a balanced taste. The sausage was thick and tasty. This place seems versatile for different uses. The open kitchen added to the great atmosphere, and the best part might be bringing your own wine for a meal. It was a good decision to step inside.

Visit time: 17:00 on a weekday
Wait time: None
Menu: I visited to purchase morning bread.
- Curry Bun: Packed with plenty of vegetables and the curry was spicy and delicious.
- Mushroom and Bacon Roll (300 yen): Seasoning for shiitake and shimeji mushrooms was light, and the taste of mushrooms was authentic.
- Nice-style Hot Sandwich: It had a substantial weight and a taste similar to pizza, which was delicious.
Thank you for the meal.

I received potage soup as a souvenir at work and was recommended to eat it with bread. I went to buy bread right away. I visited the bakery on Monday around 9:10 PM. It's great that they are open until 10 PM. There were many sold-out bread, but the ones remaining looked delicious, so I bought some. I purchased:
- Bread tasting set for 741 yen (asparagus bacon campagne, sugar cheese, tart?, meat-filled bread)
- Rice bread for 340 yen
- Rum raisin brioche for 540 yen
Total: 1,750 yen (excluding tax 129 yen).
I shared the bread with my family when I got home. I bought the tasting set because the tart looked delicious. However, the tart was a bit bland, and I couldn't figure out what flavor it was. But the crispy crust was tasty. All the bread in the tasting set had a chewy texture, and the butter flavor spreads nicely when you chew. They were all delicious. The rice bread was very chewy for 340 yen, which was a great deal! My personal favorite was the rum raisin brioche, with a generous amount of raisins as always. It was delicious. It had been a while, but this place offers high quality at a low price. I will definitely come back if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I left my daughter with my husband and went out for a day. As a thank you, I decided to bring back some bread and treats (*^^*) I'm not very knowledgeable about bread, so I just picked a few that caught my eye. I started eating before taking any pictures, but the cheese bread was incredibly delicious! The kiwi one wasn't too sour, it had a refreshing sweet and sour taste, juicy and delicious too~ (๑´ڡ`๑)♡

⭐️Visited a bakery with an impressive reputation among the top 100 on Tabelog at 1:00 PM on August 23rd. The place had an 80% occupancy rate with a neighboring dining area. I made my purchase right away as there were hardly any people there.
- Roppongi Anpan (Red Bean Bun) 250 yen: Among the selection, this one was the closest to my taste. It had a chewy texture and a generous amount of red bean filling, perfect for urban settings.
- Roppongi Salt Bread 240 yen: Unlike typical salt bread, this one had a different appearance and taste. As I ate it, I could feel the saltiness. It also had a chewy texture.
- Mochi Mochi French Bread 175 yen: Despite some high ratings, I usually don't go for this type of product but decided to try it out. It may offer good value for money, but the high oil content makes it feel heavy. It's a decent option for those conscious of cost, but I found it a bit too rich. Overall, even though it's within walking distance, I'm not sure if I would stop by again. It felt like they were focusing on creating a menu with good value in mind.

Visit on 8/13/2023 at 1:13 PM. There were about 3 customers in the store. Even though it was midday, freshly baked bread kept coming out. I purchased Parmigiano sausage (260 yen), Mochi Choco (210 yen), Roppongi salt bread (240 yen), and Cheese Couque (220 yen) for takeout. They were all reasonably priced and very delicious. Especially the Roppongi salt bread was fluffy and had a simple yet enjoyable taste.

Located in Roppongi, this bakery is situated on a side street just off the main road, with a wine shop and restaurant attached. I purchased croissants, salted bread, and French toast. The flavors were surprisingly light - I was expecting something a bit stronger. The French toast wasn't overly sweet, so it's good for those who prefer a more subtle sweetness. Personally, it wasn't quite to my taste.

Located about a 2-minute walk from Roppongi Station in Minato-ku, Tokyo, "L'Atelier du Pain" is a bakery that has been selected as one of the top 100 bakeries in Tokyo in 2022. After enjoying lunch and dessert in Roppongi, I visited this bakery for the first time to buy bread for dinner. I arrived around 4:30 pm, and the store was filled with a wide variety of bread, with many customers inside. I bought a total of 10 items for takeout: "Bacon Canape" (320 yen), "Fig Danish" (370 yen), "Mushroom and Bacon Roll" (278 yen), "Croissant" (280 yen), "Tuna Danish" (270 yen), "Parmesan Sausage" (260 yen), "Pain au Chocolat" (306 yen), "Baked Corn" (250 yen), "Sugar Cheese" (297 yen), and "French Toast" (204 yen). All of them were delicious, but especially the following four were outstanding: The "Fig Danish" allowed me to enjoy the sweetness of figs and sugar together, the "Mushroom and Bacon Roll" had a perfect harmony of the crunchy texture of mushrooms and the umami of bacon, the "French Toast" stood out with its moist texture and buttery aroma, and the "Parmesan Sausage" was crispy, juicy, and delicious. The deli bread at "L'Atelier du Pain" offers everyday deliciousness without any gimmicks, making it a high-quality bakery that I would love to visit again soon.

I love the an-pan from the bakery in Roppongi, so I often visit. If you order a drink, you can eat in at the neighboring Italian restaurant Sakura. To beat the heat, I had an iced cafe au lait and a Niçoise-style hot sandwich for eat-in. The purchased bread can be reheated in the toaster by the register, and on this day, after reheating, I was shown to a seat and placed my drink order. The register here also automatically scans the bread using a bakery scan. It's becoming more popular, how cute! The convenience is great, the opening hours are long, the prices are reasonable, and the deliciousness is top-notch. The service at the store is also good. There are also hard bread options, but I recommend the chewy, high-hydration bread for those who like it. I got the Roppongi an-pan (chewy like mochi) and the large red bean paste bread (don't know the official name) for takeout. *The service staff at the Italian restaurant Sakura is amazing!

First visit. Roppongi on a holiday. Took a detour due to the intense heat. I will try the recommended red wine and chocolate bread right away! The wine in the photo here is currently available at a discounted price during Happy Hour. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the staff are very efficient.

I visited with a friend on a holiday afternoon. The location is near Roppongi Station, along a street on the south side of Roppongi Street (there is probably a common name, but I have no knowledge of the area, so please forgive me...). The next morning, I bought bread for breakfast. It seems like a famous bakery. I purchased a baguette for 240 yen (excluding tax, the same below), two Roppongi salt breads for 240 yen each, and a mugwort red bean bread. They were put in a lovely paper bag by the shop. I brought them home and had them for breakfast the next day. I reheated the baguette and salt bread in the microwave and toaster. First, the salt bread. It was amazing. When I put it in my mouth, the butter popped out. I was not expecting that. It wasn't a gradual oozing, but a sudden burst. Is this butter unsalted? It tastes refreshing. The dough was chewy. It was delicious. The baguette, made with rice flour, was not as chewy but had a fresh aroma and was easy to eat. And the red bean bread was also amazing. The dough was chewy with a fragrant mugwort scent. The dense feeling of mochi and red bean paste. I am very satisfied. It is also quite reasonable. If I have the chance, I would like to try other items. Thank you for the meal.

There is a shop located deep in a narrow alley from Roppongi Station. The area is currently under construction, so it may be a bit hard to find. Next to it is a wine shop with a good selection of vintage wines, which is also recommended. The items ordered were: Mushroom and Bacon Roll for 278 yen, Asparagus Bacon Campanile for 320 yen, and Mentaiko Cheese Bread for 190 yen. Each bread has a unique and unusual flavor, so preferences may vary. Personally, the flavors didn't quite hit the mark for the author, but it's all a matter of taste. While the author tends to lean towards classic wheat flavors, these modern snack-like flavors might be a nice change every now and then.
