Pancake - Maple Walnut for about 1500 yen. There are small and regular sizes available, but even the regular size is satisfying. At first glance, it may seem small, but the pancake is dense and heavy, with butter soaked in thoroughly. It's not crispy or fluffy... a unique type of pancake that I tried for the first time.

The recommended pancakes at this newly opened place take about 30 minutes to be ready. For meals, they offer omurice, gapao rice, spinach carbonara, napolitan, and a set with toast. We were chatting side by side in hammocks and it was so much fun. It was comfortable and the gentle swaying was amazing!

This is a cafe located under the elevated tracks between JR Akihabara Station and Ueno Station. The unique interior features hammocks at the counter seats. It's equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi, which is convenient. The signature menu item here is the thick fluffy souffle hotcakes. I ordered the small size Walnut Custard Caramel Souffle Hotcakes (1500 yen) and a blend coffee (570 yen). Ordering coffee with sweets gives you a 100 yen discount and free refills, which is a great deal. The souffle hotcakes take 30 minutes to bake. The generous serving of cream is piled high, resembling Eggs 'n Things in size. The texture is more gooey than fluffy, with a taste like pudding due to the combination of custard and caramel. The crunchy walnuts add a nice texture contrast. The unique flavor transformation from gooey to crunchy is interesting. Overall, while it may not be outstandingly delicious, the flavor transition is impressive. The service is excellent, making it a perfect cafe for a break after shopping in the area.

Cafe ASAN in Ueno is famous for its hammock cafe concept. I tried their Triple Chocolate Souffle Hotcake, which comes in two sizes - Small for ¥1450 and Regular for ¥1650. The hotcake was thick and fluffy, with a 5cm thickness. The Triple Chocolate includes a rich custard chocolate cream on top, a sweet chocolate whip on the side, and plenty of chocolate sauce. Overall, it was quite sweet and a bit pricey, but the experience of enjoying it in a hammock seat made it worth it. The hammock seats have a 90-minute time limit, while the indoor seating has a 2-hour limit. The place was crowded, with people even waiting outside. I would consider coming back for this delicious hotcake.

I love it so much! If asked which pancake I like, it would be this one over Eggs 'n Things or Hoshino. It has the perfect combination of crispy, fluffy, and chewy textures. I chose maple cream cheese topping, and it was a great choice. The salty cream cheese and fragrant maple flavors alternate, with a occasional reset from the whipped cream. It was delicious as always, and I was finally able to sit in the hammock for the first time. It's hard to sit in, but I love it!

Genovese (5-year-old penguin) tweet: The hammock is fun. I had a walnut custard caramel souffle hot cake. At first, I was taken aback by the excessive amount of whipped cream, but when I tried it, the light and elegant taste was perfect. In fact, the caramel sauce flavor spread evenly throughout the hot cake, avoiding the usual problem of tasteless and overly flavorful parts. The walnut added a nice texture. The hammock is fun. The place has a strong anime theme in some of the music and decorations, which may not be comfortable for those who are not fans of it.

Visited Café Asan with colleagues from work. We ordered the Walnut Custard Caramel, Takayashiro Yukishizuku's Acerola Drink, and a trial menu called Koharubiyori. My colleague wanted something with whipped cream, so we decided to come here. When we entered, we were surprised to find out that this café is collaborating with an anime. We ended up ordering some collaboration menu items and also bought some goods. The café is a must-visit for anime and whipped cream lovers. There were also seats with hammocks, which seemed to be quite popular. Thank you for the meal. We will definitely come back again.

On Saturday around 2 pm, two of us visited the cafe. We are big fans of pancakes, so we decided to indulge in some pancake activities today as well! This cafe is known for its strong anime theme, which we didn't notice last time we peeked in. The cafe often holds collaboration events with anime and other similar themes. The interior of the cafe has hammocks and a unique atmosphere, but this time we were overwhelmed by the loud anime songs, videos playing, and anime posters covering the walls. The pancakes here are called "Souffle Hotcakes," a unique name that caught our attention. The menu, with photos, made it easy to choose. You can choose from a Small size for 1400 yen (30 minutes to bake) or a Regular size for 1600 yen (40 minutes to bake). We ordered the "Honey Butter" on the side. The Souffle Hotcakes were indeed unique in appearance, resembling more of a madeleine than a pancake. The texture was incredibly fluffy, well-cooked, fragrant, and not too sweet. They were absolutely delicious! The huge dollop of whipped cream served with it was light and delightful, with a hint of sweetness. The decision to have the Honey Butter on the side was perfect, as the hotcakes already had a buttery flavor, and adding more would have made it too rich and sweet. Plain is the way to go here! We also tried the "Walnut Custard Caramel," the most popular item on the menu. I love the bitterness of burnt caramel, so I had high hopes for the caramel flavor. However, it turned out to be too sweet. The caramel sauce was overly sweet with little bitterness. The whipped cream was light and tasty, but the overwhelming sweetness from the caramel sauce made it cloying. The walnut custard underneath was also too sweet, drowning out the walnut flavor. It would have been better if the sweetness was toned down. The presentation of the whipped cream on top of the hotcakes caused them to flatten, so it might be better served on the side. In conclusion, the unique cafe with hammock chairs can sometimes be overwhelming for those who are not fans of anime, as they often hold anime events. The Souffle Hotcakes were delicious, with a unique texture that was not too sweet. They were a delightful mix between madeleines and souffle pancakes. The whipped cream was light and perfect. However, the toppings, like the one I tried (Walnut Custard Caramel), were all too sweet, so I recommend going for the "Plain" option here!

I went to a playful café called "asan" near Ueno Station and Okachimachi Station in Tokyo, which hosts collaboration events with games and anime. I was surprised when I entered the café because there were hammocks lined up, with half of the counter seats being hammock seats. I found out after entering that this café often collaborates with anime and games, which is really cool. I ordered the Soufflé Pancakes with Walnut Custard Caramel for 1,400 yen, Vanilla Ice Cream for 350 yen, and Hot Coffee for 400 yen. The Soufflé Pancakes with Walnut Custard Caramel were moist and had a good texture, and the Walnut Custard Caramel was delicious. The combination of the crunchiness of the walnuts, the sweetness of the custard, and the amount of whipped cream was excellent. I really liked it. The coffee was also good, and it was free refills. I enjoyed my meal slowly swaying in the hammock. Thank you for the meal. I highly recommend this place! I will definitely go again.

I visited the collaboration cafe "Shy Girlfriend" at CafeASAN. During the collaboration, the opening hours have changed slightly. On weekdays, the cafe opens at 11:30, but the collaboration menu is only available from 3:00 onwards. On weekends and on the 23rd holiday, both menus are available all day. When I arrived a little before opening time, there was already a decent line and I had to wait for about 20 minutes. Once it was my turn, I was seated inside and given a brief explanation about ordering the goods. The layout seemed slightly different from my previous visit, but the hammocks were still there. I ordered Shinoha's gratin and bread set. The dish was hot, and the bread was crispy. The bacon had a good texture and was filling. I also had Hanae and Hikage's hot coffee. The cream was rich, and milk and sugar sticks were provided on the table. When I left the cafe, there was still a line outside. It seemed like they didn't give out any numbered tickets for queue management.

I often pass by a cafe located in the elevated arcade "2K540" that leads from Ueno to Akihabara. The interior is spacious with hammocks at the counter, so I decided to sit there. I ordered the "Souffle Hotcakes with Walnut Custard Caramel (S size) and H Coffee." It was a weekday, so a drink was included. After about 30 minutes, the dishes and drinks were brought to me. The Souffle Hotcakes came with a mountain of whipped cream and were delicious. Thank you for the meal, and thank you very much.

Visited around 4 pm on Sunday. The restaurant had limited seating but we were able to secure a hammock seat without waiting in line. The counter seats had hammocks attached, making it very cozy. The pancakes take 30-40 minutes to cook but they are incredibly soft and delicious. The whipped cream is light, so even though there is a lot of it, it doesn't feel heavy. The restaurant frequently collaborates with various content creators, attracting many customers for that reason.

Weekend, around 12:30 in the afternoon. Able to be seated right away. Secure a table first, then order at the counter. Recommended seating is the "hammock" seat. Ordered... ★ Souffle Hotcakes (Honey Butter) - Size S / 1,400 yen ★ Blend Coffee - Free refills / 500 yen The hotcakes take about 30 minutes to bake. The hammock seat is comfortable, and I end up dozing off. The hotcakes are... indeed, fluffy and light. The hotcakes and whipped cream are both mildly sweet, making them easy to eat. As for the price... I can't judge as I'm not familiar with the market price, but from an old man's perspective, the food seems expensive.

Craft shop 2K540 located under the elevated tracks between JR Yamanote Line Okachimachi Station and Akihabara Station. My wife was drawn to it when we stopped by Montbell in Okachimachi. Upon entering, I couldn't help but notice the row of people wrapped in hammocks, resembling caterpillars. The souffle pancakes are popular, but they take 30-40 minutes to prepare, and we had dinner plans later, so we settled for drinks only. I ordered coffee and mango juice. While there was only one hammock available, there were regular chairs nearby, allowing couples to take turns using them. If there are more hammocks available, you could potentially line them up side by side. Sitting in the hammock was surprisingly stable and comfortable. Despite being under the elevated tracks, the noise of passing trains wasn't too bothersome, and it was easy to relax to the point of falling asleep. Each table had a color paper from a manga artist embedded in it, adding to the popularity of the place. It's a part of Akihabara culture. The seating time is limited to 90 minutes.

Number one popular item: Walnut custard caramel, size small, ¥1400. The portion size is amazing! Even the small size is filling (o^^o). Not too sweet, but you might get tired of it because it's so big. Finished it while refreshing my mouth with green tea! I wish they had an extra small size (^。^) Located under the card in Akihabara.

I happened to visit a shop that was collaborating with an anime called Eno-gu, and they were having an event. The shop was playing music from the anime, and they had limited edition menu items in collaboration with the anime. It was my first time experiencing such an anime-themed space, and even though I didn't know the anime, the atmosphere was exciting and fun. I also received a cute coaster from the anime as a souvenir. I decided to try the pancakes and drinks that were in collaboration with the anime. The pancakes were fluffy yet had a firm texture, and the cream was not too sweet and very delicious. There was a generous amount of cream, but it wasn't overly sweet, so I finished it all in no time. Next time, I would like to experience the atmosphere of the shop in its normal state without any special events.

Yesterday, I took a break here after lunch. It was my first visit to a cafe located under the bridge "2k540 AKI-OKA ARTISAN" a little away from the station. I ordered a hot cafe latte for 500 yen because I was feeling a bit cold. The cafe has regular table seating as well as hammock seating, which is recommended for relaxing!

Located in the shopping street called 2k540. Visited on the weekend. Arrived between lunch and snack time, so was able to enter smoothly. Ordered the most popular pancakes at the restaurant. They start cooking after you order, so it takes a little time. When the dish arrived, it looked just like the photo on the menu with a mountain of cream... The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly cooked. The staff were very polite. They explained clearly when asked about differences in sizes, and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant was quite busy, but I was able to enter smoothly, maybe because of good timing. Even the small size of the pancakes was satisfying. Some customers were having curry dishes, which looked delicious and fragrant. You can enjoy either lunch or sweet treats here.

[Rating: 3.5] I visited the shop located about a 5-minute walk from Suehirocho Station. I arrived on a weekend evening. About 50% of the seats were taken, with mostly women. The shop is quite spacious with mostly 4-seater tables. One unique feature of this shop is that it has hammocks. You could hear music playing inside. I ordered the Fondant Chocolat for 600 yen and a blend coffee for 500 yen (tax included), which was discounted by 100 yen. You first choose your seat and then go to the central cashier to pay. Overall, the coffee had a strong bitterness and a strong aroma. The Fondant Chocolat was very sweet, with a combination of cream, ice cream, and chocolate. If you go to this shop, it might be worth it for the hammocks. The downside was that the Fondant Chocolat was just too sweet. The cream was relatively sweet, but the chocolate was overwhelmingly sweet. It was almost unbearable. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this cute little cafe for lunch on a weekday. Surprisingly, there were quite a few older gentlemen there, which was unexpected. I managed to secure a seat in a hammock, which I had wanted to try. The system was to reserve a seat first and then go to the counter to place an order. I received a number tag and returned to my seat. Sitting in the hammock while waiting for my food was fun. (Although it's better to eat in a regular chair). During weekday lunch hours, those who ordered pancakes or other dishes could enjoy unlimited soup (until it runs out). The soup had toppings like fried onions, which was nice. The egg soup had a good flavor. I ordered pancakes, so I enjoyed the soup. The pancakes come in two sizes, S and R, with a significant difference in size. I was surprised by the generous amount of cream. - The chocolate cream was generously served. It was light and not too sweet, so I could finish it even if I ate just the cream. The cornflakes added a nice touch, and I didn't get tired of eating until the end. The pancake batter had a unique texture that I had never experienced elsewhere. It has a gentle flavor. - Walnut custard caramel also had plenty of cream. I felt it was sweeter than the chocolate one. There were quite a few walnuts under the cream, which added a nice texture. The custard flavor was subtle. The coffee was refillable and had a nice bitterness to it. It was served in a large mug, so I couldn't ask for a refill. They had Wi-Fi, power outlets, and tablets, so I could stay there for as long as I wanted. I will definitely go back again.
