タケマシュラン
Located at the entrance of the shopping street right by Hiroo Station is "EATPLAYWORKS", a shared office space geared towards young people. The first and second floors are dedicated to restaurants, the third and fourth floors are a members-only lounge, and the fifth and sixth floors are office spaces. One of the restaurants on the premises is "Gracia", which has been awarded the Bib Gourmand. This Spanish restaurant overseen by chef Jérôme Quilbeuf has a cozy atmosphere with a few counter seats and some tables. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday and was able to get a seat without a reservation, but it seems reservations are recommended. I ordered a glass of Cava for 1,100 yen, which turned out to be a surprisingly small amount, so I recommend going for the regular size at around 1,600 yen for a better experience. I opted for the Chef's Seasonal 4-course lunch menu priced at 3,850 yen. The amuse-bouche was a freshly fried croquette topped with plenty of Manchego cheese, offering a rich flavor. The appetizer featured red prawns with various sauces, making it a flavorful dish. The main course was SPF pork from Chiba Prefecture, a rare find at a Spanish restaurant, accompanied by plenty of vegetables. Just when I was wondering if there would be no carbs, a Basque cheesecake arrived, rich and delicious, providing a satisfying end to the meal. With a small glass of sparkling wine, the total bill came to around 5,000 yen. While on the pricier side for lunch, considering the location, quality, and quantity, it is reasonable. The dinner menu looks enticing as well, offering a variety of delicious dishes. The ambiance is not too formal, making it a great spot for a first date or a casual night out. It is recommended to order wine by the bottle.
