I often go here. After eating lunch in Asakusa, if I have time, I always go here. The agar jelly here is really delicious. There are many dessert shops in Asakusa, but Izumi is definitely the best around here. It's a bit more expensive than other shops, but worth it. I usually order matcha anmitsu or plum honey beans. Especially, the plum honey in the plum honey beans is addictive. The wine anmitsu is also good. It's a great gift that everyone loves, so when I'm in a pinch, I buy Izumi's anmitsu. It's a popular shop with both tourists and locals.

I visited during the Asakusa Samba Festival and was able to enter without waiting. The large anmitsu with three kinds of fruit was delicious, with the red bean paste being just the right amount of sweetness. The atmosphere of the shop was lovely. There were so many menu options that I had a hard time deciding. The oshiruko also looked delicious, so I'll try it next time.

I had a matcha anmitsu! The sweetness of the matcha an was just right and delicious! The menu is also extensive, with options for different types of anko (chunky or smooth) and toppings (vanilla ice cream, matcha ice cream, shiratama), so it can be hard to choose (lol), but sharing with friends seems like a fun idea. 😊 It's satisfying to enjoy a cool sweet treat on a hot day!!

I ate sweet red beans at a traditional Japanese sweets shop. It was my first time trying it at this age. It's hard to describe the unfamiliar sweetness and deliciousness. Sorry. I had sweet red beans with plum flavor. It was delicious. It's been a while since I had mochi. Haha. Maybe I put a little too much honey on it. It's a happy portion, isn't it? The tea was really good. Good tea at a Japanese sweets shop is important.

I visited around 5:00 PM. Luckily, I didn't have to wait in line to get in, but the restaurant was full. I ordered the cream anmitsu. It wasn't exceptionally delicious, but the honey was tasty. I found the price a bit high at 1000 yen. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and nice.

It's a shop facing the main street, but is it a hidden gem? In the scorching heat, we took a leisurely walk after lunch before entering. On the way to lunch, we passed by and thought it surprisingly affordable yet with a calm sense of luxury. We decided to have our post-meal tea here! ^_^ It was a good choice. Although the Uji Kinsho was tempting, we went for the apricot. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Located in Asakusa, "Asakusa Izumi" is just a 4-minute walk from Tsukuba EXP Asakusa Station! It has 26 seats. We ordered the following: - Strawberry Shaved Ice (1100 yen) - Uji Sweet Potato Shaved Ice (1200 yen) This shop has been selected as one of the top 10 anmitsu shops. On this hot day, we chose shaved ice. The Strawberry Shaved Ice was vibrant with large strawberries on top and inside, perfect for strawberry lovers. The sweet and sour fresh strawberries were unbelievably rich in flavor. The shaved ice had a fluffy texture, and the crispy texture as it started to melt was irresistible. The Uji Sweet Potato Shaved Ice had a wonderful aroma of freshly brewed Uji matcha. The red bean paste had a subtle sweetness that complemented the ingredients well. I highly recommend this shaved ice for matcha lovers who want to enjoy delicious Japanese sweets in Asakusa! I went around 12:30 on Sunday✨ Other shops had long lines, but luckily I was able to enter without waiting♡ I chose matcha and vanilla ice cream, which I don't usually eat, and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was♡ It was a great success❗️ The combination with vanilla ice cream was also perfect and I finished it in no time✨

The shop is small, so we waited outside for about 30 minutes before we could enter. We ordered strawberry shave ice and apricot shave ice! The shave ice was very fruity and delicious, giving us a high level of satisfaction. It made the hot weather feel cooler. Even waiting in line, it's worth it to eat this shave ice.

When it comes to summer, head to Asakusa Idumi for shaved ice! In addition to shaved ice, they also offer traditional Japanese sweets like anmitsu. This time, I ordered the Uji Kanjou shaved ice. The ice was fluffy, the red beans had a rich flavor, and most of all, the depth of the matcha was really noticeable. The seating inside the shop is limited to about 20 seats, so it may feel cramped for larger groups. Outside the shop, there are product samples displayed, so customers waiting in line can enjoy looking at them.

On the way back from visiting a tonkatsu restaurant in Asakusa, I happened to come across this shop. Feeling the urge to eat shaved ice due to the scorching heat, I impulsively entered. I quickly ordered the Uji Kin Time with added shiratama, as I love white dumplings. It was served in less than 10 minutes. The Uji Kin Time had a rich and bitter matcha flavor, and the red beans had a surprisingly mild sweetness, making it enjoyable for people of all ages. It seems to be popular among both young and old. The portion was quite generous, making it the perfect treat to quickly cool down a body heated by the intense heat. If you have the chance, I highly recommend stopping by at least once.

Around 4:30 pm, there was a line outside the shop, but I was able to enter after about 15 minutes of waiting and signing in. I had milk shaved ice with white balls and matcha ice cream on top. The ice was fluffy and delicious even with just condensed milk, and the matcha ice cream had a refreshing taste despite its milky flavor. The balance with the white balls was exquisite and delicious.

After dinner, I felt like having shaved ice! When I called to check how busy it was, they said there was only one group waiting, but when I arrived, there were about four groups in line, haha. It's nice that they have a sign-up system. I had visited with a friend in the past and tried a delicious plum that I wanted to eat again someday. I remember ordering matcha last time, but it wasn't to my taste. This time, my friend ordered apricot. - Plum shaved ice: Ah, nostalgic. This smooth texture! The refreshing and sweet-sour taste of the plum. There's quite a bit of fruit pulp in it. It goes really well with this snow-like ice texture. The occasional fruit chunks add to its charm. Eating plum makes me feel nostalgic. - Apricot shaved ice: Apricot is sweeter. It has fruit pulp and a fruity taste. I didn't realize apricots were this sweet. The flesh is also included, evoking a sense of melancholy. There was a note on the menu that caught my attention, haha. Finally fulfilling a long-held wish made me happy.

Midsummer is here. Anmitsu, sweet red beans, and shaved ice. If you're not sure what to choose, this is the place to go! They have everything. You can also learn the difference between anmitsu and sweet red beans. The strawberry shaved ice is full of fruit pulp and incredibly juicy. If you want to cool off in Asakusa, this is the only choice.

The outer layer of the ice was crunchy, while the inside was fluffy and enjoyable. The strawberry had a jam-like sauce, more sweet than sour. The apricot had a good balance of sweetness and acidity, very refreshing. Perfect for summer. I went around 11:30 and didn't have to wait, but by noon there was a line forming, so even though it's a dessert place, you might have to wait on hot days. The interior is glossy black with vibrant green bamboo, giving it a Kyoto-like feel in the midst of Asakusa. It's a relaxing space. Also, the restroom is extremely clean.

Located straight ahead from the Kaminarimon Gate is a sweet shop. The interior of the shop is small, with tables somewhat close to each other, but the bamboo decor is lovely. It feels open and cool. They recommend the anmitsu, but all three of us ended up getting kakigori. The strawberry flavor had a strong taste of sweet and sour fresh strawberries. The apricot flavor was not too sweet, but refreshing. And the Uji matcha had a rich matcha taste with mildly sweet red beans, which was very delicious. However, the most impressive thing at this shop was the tea that came out (laughs). It had no bitterness and a noticeable sweetness, rivaling even gyokuro in flavor. I couldn't help but ask where the tea was from, and the staff kindly told me, "It's from Kakegawa tea in Shizuoka."

I watched "Saboleman Kantaro" on Netflix yesterday and felt like eating Japanese sweets like Anmitsu and Mitzumame, so I decided to visit this cafe. Today was a rainy day, so the atmosphere inside the shop was calm. I was indecisive, but I ended up ordering the White Mitzumame (tax included 1000 yen), and the female staff kindly asked me, "There is no sweet bean paste in it, is that okay?" which I appreciated. First, I was served green tea, and then the White Mitzumame was brought to me. I tried it with black honey first, and the texture of the agar was really good and delicious! The black honey was not too sweet, just the right amount, and the Mitzumame had a slightly reddish color and a hint of saltiness, which I really liked. The white agar was chewy and delicious. Eating it with a wooden spoon added to the Japanese atmosphere. They also had a take-out option, so I regret not buying some to take home. I would love to eat it again. It was truly delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited GW about 1 hour before closing with a friend. We had to wait for one group ahead of us, but it wasn't too long. We tried the matcha shaved ice, and it was delicious - the matcha wasn't too sweet, and the red beans added just the right amount of sweetness. I also appreciated that they served warm green tea. I will definitely visit again.

At "Idumi" in Asakusa, I took a break after walking around a lot in Asakusa and was planning to head to the next station, but I came across a sweet red bean soup shop ❤️ It's nice to eat while walking, but I felt like sitting down and taking my time, so I went in and had delicious sweet red bean soup. The flavors I tried were apricot sweet red bean soup with matcha ice cream topping. You can choose between smooth red bean paste and chunky red bean paste inside. It was quite sweet, so it's better to drizzle the black syrup little by little. #Tokyo #TokyoFood #TokyoCafe #TokyoSightseeing #AsakusaFood #Asakusa #AsakusaEatingOut #AsakusaCafe #AsakusaSweetRedBeanSoup #SweetRedBeanSoup #Food #Foodies #Foodstagram #FoodLovers #Foodiegram

Currently, I had a dish with mochi topped with sweet bean paste. There was no soup. The chunky bean paste was sweet and delicious ❤️ The mochi was easy to eat. They offer cream anmitsu with chunky bean paste, vanilla bean paste, or vanilla or matcha ice cream to choose from. The staff were kind. It was a soothing atmosphere, despite the close seating. Many people were lining up, but I was able to eat quickly and leave.

After visiting Sensoji Temple, I found a beautiful new dessert shop with a variety of items like rice cakes, shiratama, sweet red bean paste, soybean flour, black syrup, and ice cream. The new unnamed product allows you to try a little bit of everything, which is enjoyable. The apricot sweet red bean paste dessert is delicious, especially with the addition of matcha agar. I used to not like apricots, but now I appreciate their flavor. The smooth and tasty sweet red bean paste is a highlight.
