I found this restaurant on the way to Gojozaka. I often eat ramen when I'm out, but their tonkotsu ramen was simple yet delicious with a clear soy sauce and broth flavor. The staff, who I assume was the manager, kindly showed me the way to the station. In a tourist area, other restaurants seemed a bit pricey, but this one had reasonable prices. If you're visiting Kiyomizu-dera, why not give this place a try?

I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen for 740 yen. I chose soft noodles, normal oil amount in the soup, normal flavor intensity, with green onions as a topping. The noodles had a good chewiness, even though I chose soft. The soup had a noticeable garlic flavor, but it was more on the lighter side than rich. It was disappointing that the flavored egg and char siu were cold. The interior of the restaurant looked cheap. I could tell that the owner did their best to start a business with limited funds. Despite the taste, I hope they keep trying because the staff's service was good.

Around 2-3pm, most ramen shops, except for the big chains, are closed. It's understandable because they need time to prepare. So, I found a shop with no reviews at that time and decided to give it a try. It's located right near Kiyomizu-dera. They offered tonkotsu ramen in white, black, and red variations, but unfortunately, the soup wasn't piping hot. The soup had a slight thickness to it, and it went well with the noodles. However, I wish it had a more punchy flavor. It seems like they are targeting tourists with their restaurant concept.
