二日酔い飯
AS CLASSICS DINER, hungover food today. It seems like summer vacation is in full swing, with Doraemon decorations around, attracting more people to Roppongi Hills than usual. I was thinking of having lunch in Roppongi Hills, but with the crowds, I thought it might be better to go early. So, around 11 o'clock, I wandered around looking for a place to eat. I usually go to the 4th floor restaurant area, but I decided to explore somewhere different this time and ended up at "AS CLASSICS DINER". The place looked welcoming, so I decided to check it out.
Not much seems to have changed in the basic menu, but then I noticed the Gourmet Burger Grand Prix. It seems like it's happening again this year. I remember completing the Gourmet Burger Grand Prix back in 2018, and it was a tough challenge. This time, the Quattro Cheese Burger caught my eye, priced at 2500 yen. It's quite expensive, but I thought, why not give it a try since I haven't been here in a while during the Gourmet Burger Grand Prix.
I started with an iced tea to cool down. The Quattro Cheese Burger arrived, and it looked quite substantial. The burger came with fries and honey on the side. It was a bit hard to eat as is, so I wrapped it in the paper and took a bite. The cheese was rich and creamy, complementing the flavorful patty well. The saltiness of the cheese stood out, but when I drizzled the honey on it, it was delicious! The sweetness paired perfectly with the cheese and even the meat. It enhanced the umami flavor rather than being overly sweet. It was tasty! Although 2500 yen is a bit pricey, it's worth it for a burger created by a burger shop for a competition. I even drizzled the leftover honey on the fries, and it was surprisingly good, like sweet potato fries with honey. The combination of salt and honey was delightful.
After enjoying the meal in the cool restaurant, I felt refreshed and ready to continue with my plans for the day. It was my first time back in a while, but the burgers at this place are still delicious! I would love to come back again if the opportunity arises.
