I finally got to visit the yakiniku restaurant that I often see on Instagram and really wanted to go to. It was a shame that the yukhoe was sold out. The meat was quite a large portion and I ended up with a full stomach, probably because I ordered a large rice. The rice was in excellent condition. I definitely want to go again.

Visited the restaurant before 6 pm on July 6, 2022, and they opened the door for us. It was a long-awaited yakiniku dinner with my junior. Due to the ongoing pandemic, it's been difficult to go out, so it was a special occasion. We stayed at the restaurant until around 10 pm because it was so comfortable. I usually don't stay at a yakiniku restaurant for 4 hours, but the meat was so delicious that it was worth it. Starting with the tongue, we had plenty of meat and were extremely satisfied! We also drank a lot. Will definitely come back!

I wandered around Gion and decided to try a yakiniku restaurant because I was craving it. I ordered tongue, kalbi, harami, yukhoe, and a kimchi platter. I especially enjoyed the kalbi and harami, which were delicious when dipped in the egg.

First visit. Seated at a table. Ordered bottled beer (Super Dry) since they only had Premium Malts on tap. Ordered tongue salt, harami, kalbi with tripe, chicken tender, and top loin, all marinated in a special sauce and cooked with eggs. The sauce was surprisingly good. Also had chijimi with leeks and chanja rice tea. The grilled meat was delicious.

In Kyoto, in the area of Kiyamachi and Yamazaki-cho, there is a restaurant located along the Takase River, just a little up from Rokkaku Street. As I happened to pass by the front of the restaurant, the smell of meat grilling wafted out, enticing me to enter. Inside the restaurant, which was about half full, a friendly waiter promptly seated me at a table. On the table was a gas stove with a round iron plate, giving off a nostalgic yakiniku restaurant vibe. I quickly ordered the beef tongue salt, kalbi, harami, hormone assortment, and garlic chijimi. I started by lightly searing the tongue salt, and the juicy meat was refreshing and delicious. However, it was not exceptionally tasty, just decent. The chijimi that came next was also delicious. The kalbi, harami, and hormone were all tasty, but again, just average. So, I will remember this place as a safe choice for when I crave yakiniku in the Kiyamachi area.

I had a good impression, but the overall rating on Tabelog is low. I wonder why that is? The staff were very friendly when I visited, and being able to enjoy my favorite miso sauce grilled meat was a big plus. Although I ended up eating and drinking too much, so the bill was high, it's my own fault for always overdoing it. Overall, I think it's a good everyday yakiniku restaurant.

If you want to have yakiniku in Koyamachi, Maruichi is an absolute must-try!! The miso meat is incredibly delicious!! You can feel the umami and sweetness in the rich flavor! Just start with ordering the Akaset, and you'll enjoy it with sake and rice...

All the meats were delicious. The miso sauce was not too spicy and had a flavor I liked. The salt was also well seasoned and tasty. Recommended for those who like strong flavors! However, the total bill for one person exceeded ¥10,000, which was a bit surprising. The cost performance may not be the best, but I would still like to go again.

Every time I walk by, there is always a fragrant smell. I have been here a few times and always order the yukhoe, tongue, and kalbi. The egg soup is also recommended. You need to make a reservation on weekends to get in. The staff's service is great, so definitely check it out.

Visited on a regular night. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 8:00 PM. It felt a bit sketchy, but I figured it's hard to go wrong with yakiniku. I placed an order while the staff, who seemed to be employees, were in the kitchen with smiles on their faces. However, the part-time staff, who seemed to be new, appeared quite unstable. We ordered kimchi, rice, kalbi, and hoso. The hoso was not as good as I expected. The kalbi was average for the price. It was already marinated, so there was no dipping sauce. The hot plate was splattering and it hurt. The taste was decent, but the sauce was spicy, so it might not be for everyone. The prices were a bit high, so it might not be a place I would visit often.

I like the miso sauce here because it's strong on garlic and affordable. Unfortunately, I don't like the beer they serve. The tongue is cut just right, with a good balance of tenderness and firmness. The upper intestine is also delicious, with a nice chewy texture. The skirt meat is tender and enjoyable. The thin intestine is a bit lacking in flavor, I prefer a sweeter and spicier sauce. Sitting at a table where you can see the kitchen makes me feel like I'm being watched, which is a bit uncomfortable. In the Shijo area, for affordable yakiniku, I would recommend Mashi, Hormone Chiba, or Hirari (although I haven't been there recently). This place seems to be a branch of Hayashi, and I actually prefer it over the one in Karasuma. The quality of the meat here seems better. I would like to try Daishogoku next time.

The meat is marinated in spicy miso and you can eat it as it is after grilling. Although there are quite a few low ratings, I don't think you need to use high-quality meat for yakiniku, so the quality here is sufficient. In fact, they skillfully bring out the flavor of the spicy miso with around A4 grade meat. I believe that the sauce is crucial for yakiniku, so I found it quite delicious and I think it offers good value for money. I've been to various yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto, but I really like this place, ranking it quite high.

While strolling around Kiyamachi, I suddenly craved for some meat and decided to visit this new restaurant based on a friend's recommendation around 8 pm. The atmosphere inside was simple yet clean. I heard that this place is related to Yakiniku Hayashi in Ichijoji. We ordered the recommended marinated Kalbi, Hormone Mix, Salted Hoso, and Yukke. Today, I had to settle for Oolong tea. The Yukke was decent with the meat nicely coated in the marinade. The Salted Hoso had a nice firm texture with delicious fat. Eating it with yuzu pepper made it refreshing. The marinated Hormone Mix and Kalbi made me crave for beer! The flavors were strong, but it added to the charm of this place. It goes well with white rice! The rice tasted delicious with the grilled meat. Overall, the food was tasty. The menu mainly focuses on meat with limited side dishes like salad, soup, rice, and snacks. However, it seems like the restaurant is confidently showcasing its unique characteristics. Personally, I really like this type of restaurant. *Note: The staff are all cool and kind. They are soothing in various ways.

My friend and I stumbled upon this yakiniku restaurant in Nishikiyamachi and decided to try it out on a weekend night. The interior of the restaurant was simple, with seating on raised platforms, but lacked any dividers or fancy decorations. The menu mainly focused on horumon (offal), with about 60% of the usual variety found in yakiniku restaurants. We ordered mainly horumon dishes, but found the sauce to be a thick miso-based one that was quite spicy. It might pair well with beer, but could be too intense for those who don't like spicy food or children. The meat seemed to be overpowered by the sauce, and even the rice my friend ordered wasn't very tasty. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. In terms of value for money, the prices were higher than expected, with a bill coming to around 12,000 yen for a beer and tea. While there are other yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto with similar offerings, the convenient location near the station may appeal to some. However, overall, we were left feeling unsatisfied with the dining experience.

I had been interested in this restaurant for a while. Since I was nearby, I decided to visit. The interior of the restaurant is quite clean with tables and tatami seating. I love Hayashi's yakiniku, so I was looking forward to trying it here. The menu is slightly different from other branches. We had raw liver, kakuteki, three types of horumon, ten-niku, harami, and hoso and upper mino with salt. The three types of horumon were crunchy, tongue, and red liver. The salt dishes come with yuzu pepper as an accent. They were delicious without any unpleasant smell. The sauce dishes, like ten-niku, were a bit light, but still tasty. However, I felt the sauce had a strong garlic flavor. Personally, I prefer the taste of the Kujyo branch. The service was also good. Overall, I felt like the portions were a bit small. But if you're in the area of Kiyamachi, this restaurant is a good option for yakiniku. Thank you for the meal!

I didn't make a reservation for Saturday night, so I was worried if they would have any availability... but I was able to get in just fine. It seems like a new restaurant, so maybe it's not well known yet? The interior of the restaurant is really nice. Since I don't know much about horumon (offal), I left all the ordering to my friend. We ordered a variety of horumon dishes, but they all came on one plate so I couldn't really tell which was which. The meat is already seasoned with sauce, which is really strong! It's a sweet and savory garlic sauce that I really liked. It goes really well with rice! But it might be too strong for some people who don't like heavy flavors. We didn't order too much, but it came out to about 4000 yen per person, so the cost performance was just okay. It wasn't too crowded, and if I go with someone who likes rich flavors, I might want to go back again.

I do not fully trust this site, but I refer to it to some extent. I need to analyze everyone's opinions and process the information on my own... So, for now, beer! There was no raw liver... I don't know if it was because of that incident or just a coincidence, but it's disappointing. My companion is in a bad mood... Hey, you're the one who wanted to come here!! The inside of the restaurant is clean and the young staff are working diligently. The impression is not bad at all. We ordered tongue salt, hoso, and red sen, and they arrived quickly. We and another group were the only ones there, so it was quick. It seems like they cook Genghis Khan style on a hot plate. First, the tongue salt! I don't like putting lemon on it, so I tried to season it well, but it's too salty. I put too much... The hoso was also small... My companion is in a mode where they can't stop drinking without talking... I drank too much (regret). If I have the chance, I would go again.
