On March 29, 2023, I was defeated by ramen for lunch, but I enjoyed a satisfying and stable meal at Toriki for dinner. It was a banquet to welcome guests from Nagoya on this day. I had my first taste of champagne here. I usually drink Akia beer, but this time I tried the original Ebisu bottled beer. Everything felt fresh and new. The meal started with homemade pickled vegetables. First, we had grilled sasami, where the surface was seared but the inside was rare. It was cooked perfectly, not too tough and not raw. It must have taken a lot of effort to get it just right. This is Mr. Sakai's proud specialty. Next, we had gizzard, which was crispy yet juicy. The grated daikon radish served as an interlude, followed by quail and thigh meat. The shoulder meat, a rare cut, was tender and juicy. It really felt like indulging in meat here. Then came the liver, which was so delicious that I can't eat it anywhere else now. The way it was cooked was truly remarkable. It was so good that it almost made my nose bleed (laughs). The champagne ran out, so we switched to red wine. Maruhatsu, a whole heart, was served next. Cooking this part is really challenging, but they nailed the seasoning perfectly. The same goes for the tsukune, which had just the right amount of saltiness. The climax was approaching with chicken wings. They were cleaned so well that the bones could easily be removed by hand, making it easy to eat until the end. Finally, we had the chicken tail, which was visually appealing and had a satisfying burst of egg yolk. Although the cost was the highest ever due to the champagne and red wine, the overall price is usually around 10,000 yen or less if you stick to the basics. Considering the quality of the food, this place is surprisingly affordable. Even though Kinshicho is quite far from my home, it's worth coming here just for this place. I highly recommend it with confidence. It was truly delicious. Thank you for the meal.
