Agnes B. Cafe in Gion. Despite it being a Sunday, the wait time was relatively short and we were seated in less than 20 minutes. It was breakfast time, so I chose something called a Croque Monsieur. I couldn't quite understand what it was from the menu description alone, so I showed the staff a photo that someone had posted on Tabelog. "I'll have this," I said (laughs). Grateful to the person who posted the photo! (laughs) It was like a rye toast with melted cheese on top, and inside, there was melted cheese and bacon or ham? It was delicious! The set drink was a lightly roasted iced coffee. The staff explained that it has a citrus-like acidity, but I didn't really taste it and found it easy to drink.

I visited a cafe that opened in the Hanami Koji area of Gion, which is a renovated traditional Kyoto townhouse. The cafe is called agnes b. cafe and is located at 570-128 Gion-machi Minamigawa, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto. It is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, closed on Wednesdays. The cafe is situated in a beautiful Kyoto townhouse with a cafe area on the first floor and a shop on the second floor. The high ceilings, inner garden, and impressive beams have been beautifully renovated while retaining the old charm. Inside, you can find various art pieces on display, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. The menu features food and sweets created by famous chefs and patissiers from Kyoto. The interior design was done by designer Akihiro Yagi, incorporating the brand's logo and iconic motifs throughout the cafe. There are small tables for two and a large table for about ten people in the back, next to the inner garden. I chose the sandwich set with salad and soup for 1,540 yen, which was a bit on the pricey side. The sandwich was made with a jumbo fromage baguette filled with ham and camembert, and the soup was a delicious bisque. The salad had nuts sprinkled on top. While the food looked great, the sandwich was a bit challenging to eat as it was not pre-cut, requiring me to use a knife to cut it myself. Overall, the food was tasty, but the baguette was quite chewy. The iced coffee was also delicious, although I found it a bit awkward to drink directly from the glass without a straw. The cafe also sells original cups & saucers, green tea, limited edition T-shirts, and other items perfect for souvenirs from Kyoto.

I arrived around 12:30 and had to wait for about an hour. They notify you by phone when it's your turn, which is convenient. There are shops on the second floor selling clothes and bags. [Ordered items] - Pink Lemonade - Chocolate Terrine and Ice Chocolate Terrine The chocolates were very rich. With the vanilla ice cream, I didn't get tired of eating it. The Pink Lemonade didn't taste much like lemonade, but it's a drink that makes you want to have it in the summer. It's a relaxing cafe, so I recommend it.

In Gion, Kyoto, there is a shop that has been completely renovated from a traditional townhouse. The first floor is a cafe, while the second floor showcases and sells collections and limited items from Agnes B. At the cafe on the first floor, you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee from "Overview Coffee," as well as food menu by Chef Akito Atsumi from Kyoto's "cenci" and dessert menu by pastry chef Satoshi Maruhashi from Kyoto's bakery cafe "Camphora." Dessert menu is available from 12 pm onwards, while breakfast menu is served until then. Reservations are not accepted, so if the shop is full upon arrival, you need to provide your name and phone number to the staff and wait in line. There may be long waiting times on weekends, but I visited on a weekday and was seated after a short wait of about 10 minutes. I ordered the Eclair Frais which was not too sweet and delicious. The tea was also generous in portion and tasty. I would like to visit again when the dessert menu changes.

I really love the brand agnes b., so when I heard they opened a cafe in Kyoto, I went there right away. The cafe is located in a renovated traditional building in Gion, and it really captures the essence of Kyoto. The food was also delicious.

Thursday 18:10, Agnes B Cafe Gion. The staff consisted of what seemed to be the manager, a young woman, and a young man. The young male staff member was polite and pleasant. I ordered Marble Framboise for 550 yen and Pink Lemonade for 660 yen plus tax, totaling 1,210 yen. They had run out of food that day, so only baked goods were available. There were a few empty seats, so I was seated quickly at a table for two. The table seats were for two people, with five tables available. Towards the back, there was a 10-person counter table by the garden. Last order was at 18:30. The Marble Framboise was a pound cake coated with sugar on top, with a refreshing acidity from the Framboise berries, making it a sweet yet tangy dessert. The Pink Lemonade had a prominent sourness that is perfect for hot weather, and it was delicious. It was not too sweet, so I might come back for it. The place had a unique atmosphere with a garden, and the second floor was a shop. It was very quiet when there were no people around, but conversations could be heard clearly, depending on the customers. I could hear the conversation of a couple three tables away. When paying, they invited me to visit the second floor, where I also checked out the clothes before leaving. I asked the staff on the second floor if I could take some photos, and they kindly allowed me to do so. Although I only had desserts this time, I would like to try their food as well. The order may be reversed, but this is a cafe opened today, April 15, 2023, on the south side of Gion run by Agnes B. Last night, when dining at Fukushima-san, I heard that Agnes-san would come to greet us as she opened a cafe today. My husband has liked Agnes' clothes since our children were young, and sometimes wears them when visiting Fukushima-san, so it seems you like Agnes. This store was opened to commemorate Agnes' 40th anniversary of opening in Japan. The store, renovated from a traditional Kyoto townhouse, is located diagonally across from Fukushima-san. The interior has a cafe space on the first floor and a boutique on the second floor. The cafe space has five two-person tables and one large table for eight in the back. The large table seemed a bit cramped for sharing. We were lucky to get a two-person table. Since it was the opening day, there was a limited menu available, and we ordered Camembert and ham sandwich, raspberry marble cake, hot coffee, and pink lemonade. The staff were all wearing Agnes' cardigans or T-shirts. The sandwich used a baguette. We shared it, and it was quite delicious. The marble raspberry cake had a dense texture with a good balance of raspberry acidity and aroma, and the chocolate topping was a nice touch. The coffee was easy to drink, according to my husband. The pink lemonade I ordered was not too sweet and refreshing. The total bill was 3300 yen. The prices may be on the higher side due to the location, but it's worth a visit if you like Agnes. The inside of the store was clean and had a sense of cleanliness. It was great that they offer breakfast until 11:30 am!

The atmosphere of the store is stylish and the interior is nice. The menu was a bit hard to understand, but the sweets were cute and delicious. They also sell miscellaneous goods.

There was a place called Agnes B Cafe, and it was in Kyoto. It was a cool place in a Kyoto townhouse, with a stylish Japanese-style curtain. I enjoyed delicious waffles and coffee there. The design of the blue pendant-like shape reminded me of the Myaku Myaku figure from the expo.
