♡[Obanzai TATSUNOSUKE] ♡ Kawaramachi Gourmet ❤︎ Located in a narrow alley just north of Kiyamachi Street from Shijo Street, this is a hidden gem of a restaurant. It can be a bit tricky to find without looking at a map, haha. The red logo of the restaurant serves as a landmark. The interior is narrow with counter seats, table seats, and a small private room in the back that can accommodate around 8-10 people. For small groups, the "Obanzai Course" is recommended for a year-end party. It includes 10 dishes and 3 hours of all-you-can-drink for only 3480 yen!! You can enjoy plenty of obanzai dishes made with fresh vegetables of the day. There are also many unique drink options, so opting for the all-you-can-drink deal is quite a bargain (*´∀`)♪ The ingredients vary depending on the day, but the dishes we had at a recent ladies' year-end party included a sashimi assortment, fiddlehead fern and onsen tamago salad, okra and tofu agemono, simmered eggplant, rolled omelette, and half-length somen noodles, among others. Each dish was carefully prepared and delicious (*´ω`*) The somen noodles in yuzu-flavored light soup for the finish were so smooth and tasty that we could have had multiple servings♪ Other options like the voluminous TATSUNOSUKE Course and the yellowtail shabu-shabu course are also great value for money! Check out more details here! http://www.hotpepper.jp/strJ000987841/course/ Although it is an izakaya, the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, making it perfect for adult gatherings ◎ It's a relatively new and small restaurant celebrating its third anniversary this month, but the dishes made with the interesting chef's love are undeniably delicious! They are open until 3:00 a.m., so you can use it as your second or third stop, and depending on the day and time, it's relatively easy to make a reservation. So, if you're struggling to find a place for your year-end party, definitely check this place out☆♡ Restaurant Name: Obanzai TATSUNOSUKE Reservation: Available Reservations from 15:00 Access: 178m from Hankyu Kyoto Line Kawaramachi Station Kyoto Kawaramachi Station Business Hours: 18:00-3:00 (L.O. 2:00) Closed on: Irregular holidays ♡ #ObanzaiTATSUNOSUKE #KyotoGourmet #KawaramachiGourmet #TATSUNOSUKE

After visiting the night viewing at Toji Temple, my friend and I went to this restaurant and ordered a Kirin Ichiban Shibori draft beer for 480 yen, Komatsuna and Atsuage simmered dish for 400 yen, and fish marinated in Nanban sauce for 480 yen. Since it was an izakaya, we expected the dishes to come out quickly, but they didn't come out at all. When we finally asked the server about our food, it suddenly appeared. However, it took about 30 minutes after the beer arrived. We lost our motivation to order more and decided to go to another restaurant. When we asked for the bill to be paid by card, it also took a long time. Perhaps the server was a new employee. The taste of the dishes was not bad, but I don't plan on visiting this restaurant again.

I visited this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. The owner was friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. The interior of the restaurant was bright, and there were private rooms in the back. We ordered a variety of dishes a la carte, more like izakaya style than obanzai. The chicken nanban and fried hamo were incredibly delicious. I will definitely come back while I'm in Kyoto!

I went to a restaurant in Koyamachi today called TATSUNOSUKE, where you can enjoy drinking with various side dishes. The entrance to the restaurant may be easy to miss if you're not familiar with it. The interior has a nice atmosphere with tables lined up. I ordered a unique soft drink made with soy milk that you drink with ice. The assorted side dishes included sashimi, komatsuna and fried tofu simmered together, fried eggplant, and braised zenmai. Each side dish had a deep flavor that was very enjoyable. The sashimi assortment included sea bream, yellowtail, and salmon, all of which were fresh and delicious. The attention to detail in each dish was impressive. I also tried the "Tetsujin's dashimaki," which came in a generous portion even in the small size. It was served with grated radish and had a delicious combination of egg and crunchy radish. Overall, I had a great experience enjoying various side dishes at this restaurant known for its great selection of side dishes.

I happened to enter this restaurant, which at first glance seemed like a bar, but surprisingly had a wide selection of Japanese dishes on the menu. The atmosphere inside was lively and the place was bustling. The food we ordered was prepared well, and I thought to myself that Kyoto really sets a high standard.

The menu had many appealing options, and the stir-fried watercress and lotus root, as well as the crispy fried chicken, were delicious. The corn, avocado, and cheese tempura sounded amazing but was a bit heavy. The waitress seemed to be a new employee and the service was a bit slow. There was no explanation of the various sauces provided, and they didn't ask if they could clear the plates. Overall, I probably won't visit again.

You can enjoy a variety of dishes at a reasonable price. Being able to order one serving of buri shabu is great. It's recommended for those who want to try a little bit of everything.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice, and the course menu provided a satisfying amount of food and quality drinks! Even though it was a 3-hour course, we ended up staying for about 4 hours, but we were not rushed at all and had a great time!

It was a cozy shop! The dishes had just the right amount of volume and were delicious. There were also Kyoto-style vegetable dishes. I was satisfied with the selection of shochu, which I like. And smokers will be happy to know that smoking is allowed! I will definitely go back!

I went there again. I always end up at a restaurant around Kiyamachi area... It's fine if it's early, but if it gets a bit late, there are very few good places... Whenever I'm undecided, I always go here. It's consistently delicious and the cost performance is great. The location is a bit tricky to find, so you'll need to look it up or call ahead. The food and drinks are very diverse and all delicious, so it's the best. A place that stays open late is a delight! If you're near Kiyamachi and struggling to decide where to eat, you must definitely give it a try.

I read about this restaurant in a book about Kyoto and I was so eager to go that I made a reservation and visited! It's a popular place so booking in advance is necessary. The location is a bit hard to find, even though I often go to Kiyamachi, I was surprised it was tucked away in this area! The food here is of high quality and all the dishes were excellent, especially the fluffy and flavorful egg omelette. I will definitely be coming back again. I used to struggle to decide where to eat in Kiyamachi, but from now on, this place will be my go-to spot. I became a fan after just one visit! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It has been a while since New Year's Eve when I visited this place. Despite the passage of time, I still remember this place vividly. That night, everywhere was packed, so I wandered around Kawaramachi. Usually, in this kind of situation, I end up in a terrible place that I'd rather forget, but this time was a rare stroke of luck. What I ordered that night was: - Simmered watercress, chrysanthemum, and fried tofu - Iron Chef's rolled omelette - Yellowtail shabu-shabu - Soft and fluffy dashi roll noodles The texture and deliciousness of the dashi roll noodles were on par with Iron Chef's. The dashi of the noodles was subtly sweet and flavorful yet light. It was incredibly delicious. The yellowtail shabu-shabu was delicious both raw and briefly cooked in hot water. The selection of sake was also spot-on, and everything I ordered was delicious. The interior had a bar-like atmosphere with about 4 or 5 four-person tables. There were many young customers, but my group of older folks felt comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I definitely want to go back again this year.
