It is a Japanese confectionery shop that also offers canelé in the style of Japanese confectionery. I bought some warabi mochi, which was fluffy and creamy. The expiration date is 3 days from the manufacturing date. It was delicious. The black sugar in the black sugar warabi mochi is from Hateruma, Okinawa. The black sugar is kneaded into the dough, giving it a rich flavor.

I purchased it because I was at a event at Kobe Hankyu. There was a variety of flavors of canelé, but I bought the pistachio flavor. It was crunchy and I liked it. The chocolate on top was also delicious. However, the pistachio was only on the part on top.

I finally made it! I couldn't get a reservation online for about six months, so I decided to go to the store directly! The dorayaki I was looking for, which was priced at 1000 yen each, was only available for online purchase, but I bought a dorayaki made with the same red bean paste. The red bean paste had a smooth texture and was delicious!

Address: 48-3 Shimono Shimoyanagi-cho, Kita-ku, Kyoto City. Closed on Sundays. They sell dorayaki, warabi mochi, and various Japanese sweets. I bought some at a temporary store in JR Takashimaya in Nagoya. The Kyoto store mainly sells seasonal fresh sweets. They are particular about their homemade sweet bean paste, using carefully selected ingredients such as Hokkaido red beans, Tanba Dainagon, and ghee butter. In Kyoto, you can taste seasonal Kyoto sweets made with their special sweet bean paste. It's rare to find a store that is so particular about ingredients in Japanese sweets, so it's a delightful discovery. I would love to try the dorayaki made with free-range eggs at the Kyoto store.

Kuzu Kakurenbo! Kuzu ice cream! In the summer, a refreshing treat that I greatly appreciate! Today, it felt quite cool, but ice cream is not affected by the season! I bought a large amount again! And, the fig glace! (I think that's what it was...) It was incredibly delicious! Truly the best Kyoto confectionery! Mr. Ikeda, you're the best!

On a certain Friday, after finishing work, I checked my phone and found out that a home drinking party with vaccinated members was being held at my house. I decided to bring something for everyone to snack on, so I stopped by Matsuzakaya Takatsuki store located on the south side of JR Takatsuki Station after work. I arrived at the food department in the basement of Matsuzakaya via the underground passage. Since my husband had prepared the meal, I looked for dessert and found a selection of "cold Japanese sweets" made with kudzu and fruits from a Japanese confectionery shop in Kitaoji, Kyoto. There were colorful fruit bars lined up in the freezer, and I had a hard time choosing one. With the help of the staff's recommendation, I selected bars for four participants. I believe there were Japanese pear, mango, melon, and fig flavors. After taking them out of the freezer and waiting for a few minutes for them to slightly thaw, I tried the mango flavor. The texture was different from regular ice bars due to the kudzu, being chewy. The mango flavor was distinct, making it a unique Japanese confectionery. Thank you for the meal.

On a hot day, you crave something cold. I tried the kuzu ice candy, kuzu kakurenbo, ramune, acai, fig, matcha, mango, and more! I quickly devoured three of them.

I usually purchase strawberry daifuku and warabi mochi that are brought by business owners' gatherings. Today, I made a surprise visit to the shop. There were a variety of Japanese sweets made with carefully selected ingredients. They were also selling kuzu ice cream, so I got some. It was incredibly delicious.

Black sugar warabi mochi! It was soft and incredibly delicious! Especially when paired with kinako, it's the best! Black sugar is also good for the body! Kyoto truly excels in traditional Japanese sweets! I love warabi mochi! Perfect for a dessert after a meal! Thank you for the delicious treat!

There are many one-way streets, so it's a bit difficult to find. The kuzu ice cream and warabi mochi I was looking for were delicious. I was told to thaw the canelé from frozen and reheat it before eating, so I will have it for tomorrow's snack.

- Chestnut sweet paste (including tax 302 yen) ☆4.0
The ingredients are only chestnuts and beet sugar. You can clearly taste the flavor of chestnuts, which is great. It seems that the smoother the chestnut paste is, the more preferable it becomes. However, they may intentionally leave some texture of chestnuts.
- Black dorayaki (with chunky sweet bean paste) ☆4.0-4.5
This dorayaki was a hit after a long time. The dough was not too dry, and the chunky sweet bean paste was not too sweet. The brown sugar played a supporting role and did not overpower the taste, which I liked. I would be happy to have it at this price. I also had a good impression that it does not contain trehalose.
- Black steamed bun ☆3.0
Since black sugar is listed as the main ingredient, the sweetness of black sugar is prominent, and the chunky sweet bean paste feels like a side character. As a fan of sweet bean paste, I prefer the black dorayaki. Recommended for those who like black sugar steamed buns.

I encountered this traditional Japanese confectionery at a million times handmade market. I tried the bracken rice cake first, and it was soft and delicious, so I decided to purchase it. There were 5-6 types of fruit-filled daifuku, and I bought three types: orange, chestnut, and muscat. The bracken rice cake was generously covered with kinako powder. The dough was really soft and tasty. The daifuku had white bean paste as the base, with chestnut paste in one of them. They were also soft, sweet, and delicious. I tried a little of each, but they were all really tasty. It's hard to choose, but maybe my favorite was the orange one? Buying the bracken rice cake and daifuku was the right decision. I hope I can encounter them again somewhere. Thank you for the meal.
