This time, we had a year-end party in Kyoto♪ I didn't know what we were going to eat until the day of, but when I asked the restaurant, they said it was a blowfish full course meal at a sushi restaurant I had been to before. It's nice to change things up once in a while♪ The restaurant is located in Gion Shijo, and as soon as we got off the elevator, we were in the restaurant. I had never been here sober before, but it was my first time this time (^-^; Inside, there were tatami rooms on both sides of the long counter, and it wasn't just sushi, but also hot pot dishes were available. The restaurant has been operating as a sushi restaurant in Gion for many years, so the customers were diverse♪ This time, we had blowfish with its skin, blowfish sashimi, and fried blowfish, which are the classic menu items. It was simpler than what I usually have recently. The blowfish skin was crunchy no matter how many times I eat it, it's definitely unique to blowfish. Next was blowfish sashimi. I was a little unsure if it was wild or farmed. It didn't have the faint smell of a tank that farmed blowfish usually has, but it also lacked a subtle sweetness that wild blowfish usually has. I was a bit torn, considering it was a two-kilogram blowfish, whether it was wild or farmed (^-^; Next was the fried blowfish. Blowfish tastes really good when fried, especially the meat around the fins is flavorful and delicious♪ Next was the classic hot pot. Personally, I think blowfish, tilefish, and thread-sail filefish are the best for fish in hot pot dishes. Among seafood, blowfish, crab, and soft-shelled turtle are great (laughs). I especially love the part called "Uguisu," where the meat around the bones is irresistible (^ー^) The vegetables absorbed the blowfish broth, the hot tofu was delicious, and the hot pot was great♪ I kept looking for fins to eat (^ー^) I really love fish fins, not just blowfish. Once we finished the hot pot, it was time for the eagerly awaited rice porridge. Sprinkle some green onions and seaweed, drizzle a little ponzu sauce, and the rice porridge, infused with the flavors of blowfish and vegetables, was a blissful delight♪ The rice porridge is the best part♪ I was too full for sushi, so I had to skip it (^-^;) → I wanted to have abalone, but (・・;) I am satisfied♪ Thank you for the meal♪
