It's hot again today (;´д`) This weekend, I headed to Ginza. The place I went to is called Ginza Oborozuki, which has been selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops every year from 2019 to 2022. When I arrived on Sunday at 12:00 (opening at 11:30), there were only 4 people in line, which was lucky. By the time I finished eating, the line had grown to about 10 people. After waiting in line, I ordered the Special Tsukemen (large) for 1200 yen and the Chicken Soboro Rice for 300 yen. The noodles were thick and the soup was rich and creamy, with a double soup base of seafood and animal flavors. The toppings included chashu, seasoned egg, fish cake, and green onions. The noodles had a udon-like thickness and chewiness, and when dipped in the thick soup, they absorbed the flavors well. The chashu and seasoned egg were also delicious, complementing the rich broth. The meal was satisfying and I enjoyed every bite.

Before opening on Tuesday, there was already a line forming after 10:35. I ordered the special dipping noodles at 11:16 and they were served at 11:26. The presentation was beautiful and the noodles were chewy and smooth. The soup had a thick fish flavor. As I ate, I became obsessed with the noodles. The soup was a bit lacking in uniqueness. Thank you for the meal!

As someone from the countryside, I always had the impression that Ginza was more about Western-style restaurants and high-end dining, rather than a ramen battleground. However, after visiting "Oborozuki" and exploring the area around Sukiyabashi, I realized there are actually many ramen shops worth checking out. I had fond memories of "Oborozuki" from when I first moved to Tokyo, so I decided to revisit for a late lunch.
Upon entering, the owner greeted me with a smile and mentioned that water and aprons were self-service. Some reviews mentioned cold service, but I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating.
I ordered the special dipping ramen (regular size for 1200 yen) and it was delicious! The thick noodles had a chewy texture that paired perfectly with the rich W-soup broth. The balance of flavors in the broth was just right, and I especially enjoyed the thick slices of flavorful and tender chashu pork. They also provided citrus fruits for those who prefer a lighter broth. Overall, it was a high-quality and satisfying bowl of ramen.
As I was eating, I felt comfortably full, but as I left the restaurant, I realized I was beyond satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I arrived at the restaurant for lunch around 14:30 on a weekday. It was full, so I had to wait for about 5 minutes. I noticed that there was a 100 yen difference between the regular tsukemen and the special tsukemen, so I decided to go with the special one as it seemed like a better deal. I also opted for the large portion since it was free. The thick noodles paired perfectly with the rich dipping sauce made with seafood and pork. This was exactly the kind of rich tsukemen I had been looking for! The diced roasted pork in the dipping sauce was also very good. The staff member was working efficiently on their own. It was a fantastic meal. It's no wonder this place is so popular. I would love to go back again.

Hyakumeiten (Score 3.78) ✔️ Special Tsukemen
The noodles are quite firm, the broth is quite rich, the pork is juicy, and the egg is creamy. I was able to enter without waiting in line, surprisingly there seems to be little waiting at this location at night. In any case, the hidden midnight moon in Ginza.

It's been a while since I had tsukemen. It feels like the last time was at Kinryu in June last year. I used to eat ramen and tsukemen a lot about five years ago. But ever since I developed high blood pressure, I've been refraining from indulging. I had some business in Hibiya today, so I stopped by. I'm alone. Today, I chose Chito-D. My heart is racing. I arrived just before 11:30 am. Since they had just opened, I thought there would be a long line, but I was the first one there. I ordered the rich tsukemen. I wonder why tsukemen shops often offer the same price for a large portion. I couldn't resist ordering the large size. When I saw the soup, I immediately thought it looked familiar from the past. And it tasted the same. Not just delicious, but nostalgic. Thick noodles in a smooth, rich seafood broth. Ah, so nostalgic. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having some tsukemen, so I decided to go to Oborozuki. I arrived just before 7:00 PM on a weekday and was seated right away. The restaurant only has 7 seats, but it was clean and customers were coming and going smoothly. I didn't have to wait in line at least while I was there. I ordered the Special Tsukemen for 1,200 yen, with the option for regular (200g) or large (300g) serving at the same price. The soup, made from seafood and pork bone, had sliced chashu, chopped green onions, and chopped onions in it. The thick noodles intertwined with the creamy soup, and it just felt like, yes, this is it, this is tsukemen. Everything, the noodles, toppings, and soup, was well-balanced and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I don't have many memories of being hooked on ramen, but I was won over after trying the tsukemen here. Whenever I go to Ginza, I make sure to stop by this place. The line can be long and sometimes you might be turned away if it's too crowded, so it's a bit of a timing game, but it's conveniently located in the middle of Ginza and Hibiya, making it easy to visit.

I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before it opened at 11:15 am. I ordered the special dipping noodles (regular) for my first round. The regular and large sizes are the same price, so I just told them verbally which one I wanted. The counter only had about 7 seats and was quite cramped. They asked me to move further back, but it was already crowded. The dipping noodles arrived. The noodles were not too thick, just average, and the dipping sauce was not particularly rich in flavor. It was just okay. What was a bit disappointing was the service and customer service. The staff used a rather high-handed tone, which created a negative atmosphere. It would be better for the restaurant to improve on their service and cleanliness. Thank you for the meal.

Special rich tsukemen for 1,200 yen. I gave it a 4.5 (!) rating two years ago, so I decided to revisit. Yep, it's still amazing. It's what they call a double soup, but it's very smooth and gentle in flavor without any sharp edges. It's a taste that you don't come across often. The noodles are chewy and they hold up the soup well (the soup isn't too thick). The thick chashu is delicious too. Truly impressive, still a 4 out of 5 for me. The long line is to be expected. When asked for my recommended tsukemen, I always mention "Tsujita," "Ittou," and "Oborozuki" (with "Shokyo" and "Tomita" as honorable mentions). These three places are known for their tsukemen and also attract a lot of female customers. Watching the chefs in the kitchen is like watching artistry at work, it's enjoyable. By the way, there were two big foreigners next to me who ordered the "extra-large" portion, but they seemed to struggle towards the end. If you guys can't handle it, then it's definitely too much for me too. Oh well.

Located a 5-minute walk from JR Yurakucho Station, this ramen restaurant has seating for 100 people. I visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, based on a recommendation from a colleague. Here is my review:
- Atmosphere and Wait Time:
I arrived just before noon on a 3-day weekend and had to wait for about 20 minutes.
- The counter has 7 seats.
- The system involves buying food tickets in advance (cash only).
- The spacing between seats at the counter felt a bit tight.
- The staff worked efficiently in a two-person team, and I was impressed by their seamless service.
- What I Ordered:
I chose the Special Tsukemen (Large) for 1,200 yen (tax included).
- Both the Regular and Large sizes are the same price, with an extra large option available for 1,300 yen.
- The dish included toppings like naruto, seasoned egg, clam, and chashu, with menma in the soup.
- The seasoned egg was perfectly cooked with a nice balance of flavors, and the chashu was deliciously seared to remove excess oil.
- The soup had a refreshing yuzu flavor that made it enjoyable until the last drop.
Overall, I tried the most popular item on the menu for my first visit, but I would like to come back to try the salt tsukemen next time!

I ordered the Chuka soba. It was delicious. They said it's a ramen with strong dried fish flavor, but I didn't feel it was overpowering. The soup was mild and brought a sense of nostalgia. When I drank the soup, it felt a bit hazy, but when eaten with the ramen, it was really tasty. It's a strange and wonderful ramen.

I visited the restaurant around 8:30 pm on a weekday in September. There were two couples waiting in front of the shop. After about 10 minutes, the first couple was called in, followed by us a few minutes later. We purchased our meal tickets from the ticket machine and chose the most popular tsukemen. Since regular and large portions were the same price, we opted for the large portion for 1000 yen. There is also an extra-large option available. After a short wait, our noodles arrived. The tsukemen looked quite traditional. The noodles were thick and firm, with a strong texture. The dipping sauce was thick and seemed to be a combination of seafood and pork bone broth. It was well-cooked, bringing out the richness of the pork bone without any unpleasant smell. The perfect balance between the firm noodles and the thick sauce was superb. The way the sauce coated the noodles and the sweetness of it was excellent. It was a delicious and well-balanced bowl of tsukemen. Thank you for the meal.

A hidden ramen restaurant in the back streets of Ginza. It seemed very popular as there were poles set up outside to organize the line. Luckily, we arrived just before the dinner rush and managed to get a seat right away. It was my first visit so I decided to go with the classic option, the rich tsukemen. The noodles were thick and chewy, and the soup was a flavorful fish broth that I finished in no time! They also gave me hot water to dilute the soup with some mitsuba, which was a nice touch. I definitely want to go back again!

I visited around 6:30 pm on a regular day. The restaurant was 90% full but luckily I was able to get a seat without waiting. I ordered the rich tsukemen. Since the regular and large sizes were the same price, I chose the large size, but maybe I should have just gone with the regular! I finished it all, but ended up feeling like a food fighter at the end. People who eat a lot or men should have no problem with the large size. It was rich, but the noodles weren't as thick as I expected. The creamy soup and chewy noodles were well combined and very delicious! This is how tsukemen should be! When I left the restaurant, there was a line forming. It seems they also do Uber delivery, as I saw a few delivery drivers there. Ubering might be a good option too.

Visited on Monday around 19:50. There were 3 people waiting ahead of me. Luckily, more people kept coming in one after another. However, when I tried to enter along with them, I was told, "We haven't seated you yet," and was pushed back outside. While waiting, another staff member came out and asked for my order. I ordered the Special Tsukemen (large) for 1,200 yen. After a short wait, I was finally able to enter. I purchased my meal ticket from the machine and quickly found a seat as another customer left. In less than 10 minutes, my tsukemen arrived. I made the right choice with the large size. The soup was a combination of both animal and seafood flavors, light yet with a deep taste. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender with fatty goodness. The egg was sweet and added a mildness to the soup. The noodles were thick and chewy, a perfect match for the tsukemen. It was so delicious that I finished it in no time, without even needing to dilute the soup. The cost performance was unbelievable for a place in Ginza. Thank you for the meal.

The special dipping noodles priced at 1200 yen were advertised as rich and flavorful, but the dipping sauce was surprisingly refreshing and tangy rather than heavy. The noodles and toppings were delicious and traditional. However, the cramped interior of the restaurant made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful meal.

This shop serves rich and flavorful tsukemen. During lunchtime, there is a line outside, but once it's your turn, you buy a meal ticket and wait inside with about 2 people, while the rest wait outside. The shop only has 7 seats and it's quiet, so it can be a bit nerve-wracking, but the staff are polite and will help you with things like where to find the paper aprons. The tsukemen broth is simple but thick, yet surprisingly refreshing. The noodles are chewy and easy to slurp up. About 40% of the customers were ordering the ramen, so I'd like to try that next time.

Ginza Oborozuki main store special dipping noodles, regular size (200g) ¥1,200. I visited Oborozuki for the first time as I had some business in Ginza. It's a popular ramen shop in the Ginza area, even selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. I arrived at 17:45, just 15 minutes after the opening at 17:30, and already there were 5 people waiting outside as the restaurant was full. You purchase your meal ticket at a machine before entering the shop. I ordered the special dipping noodles in regular size. The interior of the shop is narrow with a counter seating arrangement, giving you a close view of the kitchen where the noodles are made. The noodles were thick and smooth, with a nice texture. The soup was gentle and not overpowering, very delicious. The finely sliced chashu pork soaked in the broth was irresistible. The grilled chashu pork on top of the noodles was also delicious. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was perfectly done. Overall, it was a bowl of noodles that you could easily get lost in, and although the dipping noodles are famous, I'm curious about trying their ramen as well.

Near Ginza Station, there is a famous ramen shop called Oborozuki. They are open until late at night, making it convenient to visit after work. I tried their rich tsukemen with a smaller portion of noodles. The noodles were chewy, similar to udon, and the perfectly balanced soup was thick and rich, coating the noodles well. It was absolutely delicious! I can see why this place is so popular. I will definitely come back when I crave a rich and flavorful tsukemen!
