I really like Ichiran. This time, I chose level 3 spiciness for the sauce, and topped it with wood ear mushrooms, chashu, and seaweed! The soup was so delicious that I drank it all up. The noodles had a good texture from the flour, and it paired well with the soup. It was the best, even though it had been a while since I last went!

It must be Ichiran, a renowned restaurant. If it's Ichiran, even in Kyoto, it must be Ichiran. Charging almost a thousand yen for a bowl of ramen, there should be some level of commitment. Unfortunately, this time at Ichiran, there were foreign customers chatting loudly behind the curtains, which detracted from the charm of Ichiran. The service was also slow. Are they even teaching how to serve dishes properly? I added extra chashu (4 slices), but even the regular serving had 2 slices, so it was delicious but felt like a waste. I'll say it again, even in Kyoto, Ichiran should be Ichiran. I hope for the kind of hospitality that is typical of Ichiran.

I like simple, classic ramen that's rich and satisfying. I went to Ichiran for the first time and you can customize the broth, seasoning, and noodles for your ramen. You don't have to talk to the staff, but you do have to speak when handing over your order sheet. Isn't that a bit contradictory? Also, the volume of the jingle music was too loud.

I find it convenient and reassuring that there is a partition between the staff and customers, without having to make eye contact. For tonkotsu ramen, it seems that firm noodles are the standard, but I don't have a particular preference and usually go with the regular option. I really enjoy the maximum amount of free garlic they offer, as it adds a strong kick to the flavor.

I went there after drinking, but had to wait for 30 minutes. Most of the customers were tourists from overseas. As for the ramen, it was my first time at Ichiran in years. I ordered it with firm noodles, rich flavor, extra oily, maximum garlic, and half of their secret sauce. It had the typical Ichiran taste. It seems they prepare the ramen at a central kitchen and just warm it up at the store, but I still enjoyed it after a long time. I like to eat the extra noodles without putting them in the soup. The prices are not extremely high compared to other ramen shops that have raised their prices recently.

It's been a while since I visited Ichiran in Kawaramachi. This time, I ordered "ramen," "flavored egg," and an "extra serving of noodles." As expected, the taste was excellent. The combination of the pork bone soup and noodles is outstanding and hard to find at other shops. The extra serving of noodles was also delicious and I finished it all in no time. However, what was disappointing this time was that with the increasing number of foreign tourists, the staff seemed preoccupied and the service was not as smooth as before. Thank you for the meal!

Set menu with ramen, extra noodles, and soft-boiled seasoned egg. Took a day off and went to Kyoto. Bought a meal ticket for the set menu at the ticket machine, but even if I had ordered each item separately, the price would have been the same, so there was no sense of a good deal. The spiciness of the red secret sauce was exquisitely delicious.

I bought a 890 yen food ticket and sat at a counter seat with partitions. The seat is called the "flavor concentration counter," where you can face the ramen directly. You can't see the staff's face. I filled out a special paper with my toppings and waited for the ramen, which was served in about 3 minutes. The ramen itself didn't have any standout features, but it had an average taste that I found delicious. I think it's a taste that makes you want to eat it again. There are words related to ramen lined up on the counter wall, which is also enjoyable to read. Thank you very much.

I finally tried Ichiran for the first time, although it's a bit late. My daughter loves it, so we went together after shopping. It was a good decision to go with my daughter! The system was quite unique and I couldn't understand it right away. My daughter taught me everything, so I was able to handle the ticket machine, seating, and ordering. If I had been alone, I would have been in a panic (laughs). I had the Natural Tonkotsu Ramen (930 yen) with an extra half serving (150 yen). The ramen menu only has one type, which shows their confidence in their approach. The prices are quite high, but it reflects the management's confidence. The ramen itself is like the ramen you would find at a street stall in Hakata, with a light tonkotsu broth and firm thin noodles. The key to the flavor is the "secret red sauce" for spiciness, which you can adjust yourself. The taste was decent, not bad, not great. However, what stood out was their unique individual dining style. Even before the pandemic, they separated the seating next to each other and you order from a machine, with additional orders written on paper and calling a button. The staff is polite, but you don't interact with them face to face. The atmosphere is relaxed, with the sound of a barrel organ playing in the background, so there's no sense of loneliness from dining alone. I admire the insight of the president, Mr. Yoshitomi, who came up with this system. Perhaps there was opposition at first, but now it hints at a new direction for the food industry. Taking the first step towards success is truly amazing. I learned a lot, not just about enjoying ramen. Thank you for the meal♪

Of course, extra noodles are a must, and today I added wood ear mushrooms. I feel like wood ear mushrooms used to be included in the past. Also, the price of the ramen was quite high at 920 yen. With extra noodles, it came to 1130 yen. The cost-performance ratio is tough. It seems like they are catering to foreign customers, but there is also a sense of overdoing it. Recently, Tenkaippin has also significantly increased its prices, so is ramen now considered a luxury item?

There is a Ichiran in Kyoto... it may be in other locations across the country as well... I happened to pass by so I decided to dine there. The familiar taste of the counter seating! Their response to COVID-19 was excellent, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought so... It's delicious no matter how many times you eat it. It's a ramen that I sometimes crave for no reason. I had a strong craving for rich ramen since the night before, so I headed straight to Ichiran Shinkyogoku, which is open 24 hours. I arrived at 8 am and was the only customer. I ordered extra green onions and chashu with the super rich broth. The service was polite and the meal was served quickly. Although my appetite and my stomach weren't quite in sync due to just waking up, I managed to enjoy and finish the meal. It was sunny when I went in, but it started raining heavily when I came out, just as the weather forecast predicted (laughs). However, I realized that the richness of the broth was different from other rich ramen I've had, with so much oil floating on the surface.

After leaving Matsuya, I ended up at Ichiran for some reason. I wasn't really hungry anymore, but since I'm in sleep mode until tomorrow, I decided to eat. The original Ichiran always has the best taste! This time, I just wanted to refresh myself. Should I mix in the red ball? It's not bad, of course. Maybe it's the same recipe, but takeout Ichiran feels different. Noodles? Soup? I went for an extra serving of noodles. They now use flimsy paper to call you instead of the old aluminum "extra serving boat." The taste doesn't quite compare to the original Ichiran. It's probably a well-known place that's open late at night. Even though it's just a ramen souvenir from Ichiran, they don't even provide tissues. I can't wipe away the greasy soup residue around my mouth after eating. I wish they had tissues available!

I came here after work. When I was a student, I used to eat here a lot after late-night drinking parties, but it's been about 5 years since then. I was surprised to see that it's now a two-story building! And there was a long line! I didn't realize they also have a branch in Karasuma! It seems like they are doing really well. The taste and system are still the same as before. It's not the type of ramen that I usually like, which is more bold and flavorful.

Located around the middle of Sanjo Kawaramachi and Shijo Kawaramachi, our restaurant does not have a parking lot. We are a branch of the famous Hakata Ichiran. Ichiran is known for its individual booths that resemble study desks. One unique feature of our branch is that we are open 24 hours a day. On Saturday mornings at 8:30, the place is bustling with Chinese tourists and staff members. I was guided to one of the individual booths. The seats are equipped with convenient items such as self-service water, order sheets, extra noodle order sheets, a call bell, a hook for hanging clothes, a tissue box, toothpicks, and more. It feels somewhat cramped and dark, like being locked in a broiler. Some people may find this setup helpful for focusing on their ramen. I ordered the ramen for 930 yen including tax. The noodles are thin and straight with a strong wheat flavor. The soup base is a sweet tonkotsu broth, which can be adjusted for spiciness using the restaurant's secret red sauce with red chili peppers. The taste is solid and delicious, typical of a renowned establishment. However, the chashu (sliced pork) seemed artificially shaped, which was not to my liking. Overall, the tonkotsu ramen itself is tasty and reliable. I would definitely visit again if given the chance.

I arrived around 2 o'clock, a little after lunchtime. The restaurant had a fully partitioned counter, where I purchased a food ticket at the entrance, sat down, and handed it over. In just about 5 minutes, the ramen arrived. The appearance was appetizing, like in the photo, with a pork bone ramen. When I took a bite, despite the coating of oil on the surface, the pork bone ramen was easy to eat. The central spicy sauce could be mixed in as an accent to change the flavor while enjoying it. The concept of the restaurant sets it apart from others, providing a completely private space to enjoy ramen, which is a delight for solo diners. The pork bone ramen lacked any unpleasant odor, and had a rich, well-seasoned taste with thin noodles that were easy to eat. It's a suitable ramen for a satisfying meal, even during lunchtime, making it convenient to enjoy. Bon appétit!
