I entered the restaurant around 11 am on a sunny holiday. About 70% of the seats were already taken. The menu offered various sets such as Gâteau set, Chocolate set, and Champagne set. I chose the Gâteau set for 1,815 yen (a set of a slice of cake and a drink), which included five different chocolate-based cakes. I carefully read the descriptions on the menu and decided on the Al Cioccolato, a rich ganache and chocolate sponge cake. It had a perfect balance of sweetness and milkiness, just like the chocolate cake I always wanted to eat. It paired well with a slightly bitter hot coffee. The set also came with a piece of chocolate on the side. The staff asked about preferences for fruits, nuts, alcohol, etc. I mentioned that I didn't like alcohol, so they gave me a strawberry chocolate instead. The staff's service was exceptional, with a warm and welcoming attitude. They paid attention to each customer and promptly took orders. Their cheerful yet calm tone made the experience enjoyable. The outstanding customer service made me want to visit this place again when I'm in Marunouchi.

I stopped by for takeout, and the service at the shop was quick and very polite. If you like chocolate, it may be a bit pricey, but definitely worth trying. I bought both chocolate and cake, and they were both delicious. I also gave some to my friends, and they were very happy.

This is a shop run by chocolatier Shunsuke Mieda, who trained at the long-established French shop "Bernachon." The name "Paledoal" means "golden disc." The shop was selected as one of the top 100 sweets shops in 2023. The cafe corner was crowded, so I decided to buy some tablets instead of waiting. I was intrigued by the malt tablet milk, priced at 1782 yen, which is a bit expensive. Malt tablets are chocolates refined from cocoa beans aged in whiskey barrels, giving them a unique and deep roasted flavor. It's a very delicious chocolate. The size is on the smaller side. I would like to try their chocolate cake next time.

I visited the popular chocolate specialty shop, Chocolatier Palais de l'Or in Shin-Marunouchi Building. I tried the most popular Chocolate Tart on the terrace seat that day. It was a rich chocolate cake and personally, it was my favorite. Next time, I want to try the parfait for eat-in! Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited alone at 8 pm on a weekday. The pastry chef welcomed me with a kind smile and said, "We have one seat available now, so I can seat you right away." I couldn't resist and entered the restaurant. I was indecisive about drinks, but ended up choosing this: [Order] - Chocolatiness Set: 1,518 yen Topping with champagne-flavored sorbet Selected raspberry-flavored chocolate It was my first time trying Chocolatiness, a carbonated drink! It had a mysterious taste with a chocolate aroma that spread out. It was really delicious. The chocolate was also amazing, and it helped me relax. Since they were close to closing and many parfaits and cakes were sold out, I want to come back next time aiming for those. I recommend it for solo diners, couples, and girls' gatherings.

Located on the first floor of Shin-Marunouchi Building, "Chocolatier Paledor" has introduced a new autumn-themed parfait called "Paledor Automne" starting from September 8th. This parfait celebrates the flavors of autumn by combining various ingredients with a focus on chestnuts. It features a rich Japanese chestnut cream and cocoa-flavored meringue in a Mont Blanc style. As you indulge in it, you will discover chocolate, nuts, cassis & strawberry sorbet, intense cocoa chocolate, coffee jelly, and more, allowing you to savor each bite. Their classic Mont Blanc Chocolat is also delicious, with hazelnut-filled dacquoise, ganache, and Italian chestnut cream with a hint of whiskey aroma. From now on, this is the place to go for Mont Blanc desserts.

It's chestnut season. I wanted to try the seasonal parfait and delicious chocolate, so I visited this place. The chocolate was delicious, of course, but the chestnut part was more authentic than I expected, and the parfait exceeded my expectations! The blackcurrant sorbet served as a refreshing break in the middle, balancing the flavors nicely.

I had been curious about the soft serve ice cream for a while and visited on a Saturday evening. They mentioned that there is usually about a 1-hour wait for cafe seating. I got the Noir soft serve ice cream to go. The soft serve had a cocoa flavor and was delicious. If I have the chance, I would like to try sitting in the cafe as well.

Arrival time: 17:30 Entry time: 17:50 Crowded: 3 groups waiting Impression: I ordered the Parfait Paledor Automne. There was only one parfait left. It was the first weekend since they started selling the new parfait, so be careful if you go at night. It's a chocolate parfait centered around chestnuts. Every layer was delicious, but the chestnut white chocolate cream was especially good. I usually don't like white chocolate, but this was easy to eat. The finely chopped chestnuts inside were a nice touch. As always, the chocolate-flavored sponge cake at the bottom is really delicious. Personally, I love it so I want to go a few more times.

On a typical Thursday around 5:30 pm, I entered the shop. Right after me, more customers came in and it quickly became full. The seating is limited to 80 minutes. It's a popular chocolate shop, so the air conditioning is strong and it's cold. I tried the Mariage set, Gâteau set, Tokyo-exclusive Tart Muscat, Chocolat Chocolat Nesspa, and Champagne set for 1980 yen. The quality was amazing and it was surprisingly cheap.

■Parfait Palet D'or Ete 2023 (until 9/7)■ Chocolatier Nespa is located on the 1st floor of the Shin-Marunouchi Building, near the west exit of Tokyo Station. It has won the Sweets Top 100 award consecutively. When I arrived on a Sunday after 1 pm, there were 3 groups ahead of me in line. I received a ticket and waited for about 25 minutes. This time, the parfait featured a combination of various citrus fruits with cheesecake, peaches, and chocolate sweetness, finishing off with a refreshing orange jelly. It was delicious and perfect for summer. The "Parfait Palet D'or Ete 2023" (July 7th to September 7th) includes meringue, blood orange sorbet with chocolate chips, chocolate decorations, custard sausage, lemon and white chocolate ice cream, candy decorations, grapefruit sorbet, shekwasha sorbet, grapefruit jelly, peach compote, rare cheesecake, lemon paste, coconut flakes, lime-flavored sponge, citrus cream, super high cocoa ice cream, syrup-soaked oranges, and blood orange jelly.

On September 2, 2023, at 1:45 PM, I visited Paledor Tokyo, a chocolatier located about 5 minutes from Tokyo Station. Here is my experience: - Arrival and Waiting Time: Arrival Time: September 2, 2023, 1:45 PM Entry Time: September 2, 2023, 2:45 PM Waiting Time: 60 minutes Queue Status: 6 groups ahead - Ordered Items: Gâteau Set 1980 yen The Gâteau Set includes a slice of cake, a drink of choice, and one complimentary chocolate. - Cake: Vogue Bitter Chocolate cake with praline cream and pistachio. - Chocola Nespa: A drink with a cocoa aroma, not sure what it is exactly, but it has a stylish appearance and a delicious taste. It seems to be a sparkling beverage extracted from cocoa beans. - Sake Chocolate: A chocolate infused with a subtle sake flavor that even someone like me, who doesn't like alcohol, can enjoy. Thank you for reading until the end! I hope this review serves as a helpful hint for your future restaurant explorations. ^_^

Tabelog [Top 100 Sweets Shops] is definitely worth it! Recently, it has become quite popular, with many people receiving "reservation tickets." This time, we were the third group in line, so we had to wait. When you scan the QR code, you can also sign up for email notifications. [Parfait Paledoore Eté 2023] is known for its delicious chocolate, so the rich chocolate, fruits, and ice cream combination was very satisfying. Especially the citrus fruits like lemon, shikuwasa, lime, and blood orange were refreshing and perfect for this hot season!

Despite it being a regular day, I was able to dine in while waiting for 6 people ahead of me using the app. I had both cake and chocolate. The cake had a lovely chocolate aroma and a hint of sweet and sour fruitiness, making it delicious. The chocolates were also meticulously made, providing a wonderful experience. Thank you.

On a sunny Sunday in summer at 11 o'clock, there was one group of customers ahead of us. We waited for the opening while enjoying the mist on the terrace. Marunouchi Nakadori felt like a foreign country, making the terrace look fitting. There were about 10 spacious seats, and we were asked at the entrance if we wanted to dine in or take out. This time, we chose to dine in and ordered the Gâteau set which came with your choice of cake, a drink, and a chocolate for a good deal at 1980 yen with an 80-minute time limit. For the herb tea, it was rich in orange and herb flavors, with a noticeable acidity from the rose hip. The saucer had a beautiful floral pattern. The Vogue cake was decorated with sauce on the plate, making it visually appealing. The cake had a good volume with layers of praline that were soft and flavorful. The Dassai chocolate was soft, fluffy, and melted in the mouth, with a subtle hint of alcohol. The Sicilian cake, which I tried a bit of from my companion, had a rich mousse with plenty of pistachios, making it delicious and indulgent. There were three large raspberries on top, which was a sight to behold. The Mont Blanc Chocolat uses a dacquoise base and contains alcohol. The recommended madeleine by the staff had a nutty flavor and was on the lighter side among the selection. When the place is crowded, reservations are required at the ticket machine on the Tokyo Station side near the Shin-Marunouchi Building. In the early afternoon, there were people ordering lunch inside the restaurant. As we left the place, we watched someone enjoying a soft serve ice cream on the terrace, savoring a leisurely moment. It was a delightful dining experience.

A friend of mine who claims to be a chocolate parfait otaku said that the best chocolate parfait in Japan was at this Parfait de Roi. I had always wanted to try it, and finally, I was able to visit the place. They issue tickets at the store, and when your turn comes, they call you via email, which is a convenient system. I wandered around Marunouchi while waiting, which was nice because there are other famous shops nearby like Échiré and Rose Bakery. I was called in earlier than expected, in about an hour. The parfait I ordered was the Parfait de Roi Été for 2596 yen, and I also got the Chocola Nespa?! for 990 yen. The shop offers completely different parfaits each season, and since it was the peak of summer in August, there were plenty of citrus fruits in the parfait. The price of over 2500 yen for a parfait might seem high, but when you see the detailed illustration in the second image, you will understand. Each layer and topping is meticulously crafted and of high quality, but the most surprising thing is the depth of flavor when all the layers mix together. For example, there is super high-cacao ice cream in the middle, which blends with layers of lime-flavored sponge, lemon paste, and grapefruit jelly. The shock when the cocoa flavor emerges amidst the citrus layers is incredible. Every bite was delicious, and it felt like a perfectly calculated course of flavors. Despite its generous size, the parfait ended with a refreshing blood orange jelly at the bottom, allowing me to finish it without feeling overwhelmed. I was particularly impressed by the chocolate chip blood orange sorbet and the super high-cacao ice cream. I would love to try the autumn parfait when the season changes. It was a very hot day, so I tried the Chocola Nespa?! drink made from cocoa beans, which had a surprising sparkling and transparent appearance. It wasn't as sweet as soda but had a refreshing yet mysteriously chocolaty taste. The name means "Chocola, isn't it?!" and it perfectly captured the surprise factor in its taste. On a side note, the chocolate cake besides the parfait was also incredibly delicious. My friend ordered the "Al Cioccolato," a nut-filled chocolate sweet, and was ecstatic about the hazelnuts in it. I have visited several famous dessert shops, but this is the first time I felt like I must visit this place again. It was truly a satisfying experience at this top-notch dessert shop. Thank you for the meal!

Mont Blanc Chocolate, Sicilian, and four other chocolates. Despite being Mont Blanc, it felt more like chocolate than chestnut! Rich and decadent! Each chocolate cost over 400 yen, but I savored every bite. As a chocolate lover, I felt incredibly happy. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

△・Marjolaine◻︎Details: I ate it with a "neutral" feeling, not leaving much of an impression in terms of taste or texture. However, looking at the review in front of me, it seems like they really enjoyed it, so I wonder if my taste buds have changed. Last time, I had eaten a full dinner and wanted something light afterwards. Rich.◎・Mont Blanc Chocolat◻︎Details: Even people who don't like Mont Blanc were saying it was delicious. Indeed, the chocolate takes the lead over the chestnut, so even if you don't like it, you could still eat it. Astringent. The sweetness is not from the chestnut but is pulled from the chocolate, so it has a cocoa-rich chocolate-like sweetness. The combination of chestnut and chocolate creates a slightly astringent taste.◻︎Visit Time: Around 7:45 PM on a holiday◻︎Crowdedness: No wait◻︎Reservation: No advance reservation◻︎Number of Visitors: 3 people◻︎Tabelog Score: 3.78 (August 2023)◻︎Genre: Western confectionery◻︎Remarks: ==========

After finishing work near Tokyo Station, I decided to do some shopping. At the last stop, I visited this shop for the first time. It was a high-end chocolate shop. I had planned to buy some chocolate to take home, but after seeing the photos of their products near the entrance, I changed my mind. I went inside and ordered the "Soft Paredo Noir." I chose to have it in a cup rather than a cone. I enjoyed it on a bench outside. The soft serve ice cream was made with bitter chocolate, giving it a strong cocoa flavor. It was not too sweet, making it a sophisticated dessert for adults. It would be a great way to end a meal of a course menu.

It has been about 20 years since high-end chocolate boutiques first started appearing. At first, people questioned who would buy a single piece of chocolate for 100 yen. But now, it's common to see multiple boutique chocolate shops in department store basements. Delicious things always become popular. Another common treat now is chocolate ice cream in the summer.
