"Press Butter Sand Kyoto Station Store" is a Western confectionery store located in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City. Despite having a 3.50 rating on Tabelog, it ranks 108th in the Tabelog "Kyoto Prefecture [Western Confectionery]" ranking. I visited the store for a takeout of their pastries. The store is located along the north-south passage in JR Kyoto Station. I decided to purchase the "Butter Sand (Uji Matcha) 5-piece set" for 1296 yen (tax included) since the 9-piece set was sold out. According to the staff, this Uji Matcha flavor is limited to the Kansai region, not just Kyoto. The butter sand was delicious. They use a unique "sandwich baking method" to achieve a good texture. The cookies are made with an original blend of wheat and plenty of fresh butter, resulting in a rich flavor. The combination of smooth butter cream and gooey butter caramel sandwiched between the cookies creates a unique and delicious taste. The two-layer structure of cream and caramel is a major improvement. However, I would like to try the standard flavor instead of Uji Matcha next time. Additionally, the box-shaped cookies prevent the soft filling from spilling out when sandwiched, making it easier to eat. The lines on the cookie surface make it easy to break. I appreciate the thoughtful design. "Press Butter Sand Kyoto Station Store" is a popular shop that continues to pursue high-quality confectionery using better ingredients and putting in the effort. I would love to visit again if given the chance. Kyoto Prefecture is home to many excellent shops. Visiting "Press Butter Sand Kyoto Station Store" in this area full of popular shops and having a great dining experience was very meaningful. I hope to continue learning from knowledgeable food enthusiasts, expanding my knowledge, and broadening my experiences in the future.

Sweet-toothed guys and old-school sweet lovers both adore the Press Butter Sand series, and I'm a big fan myself. But this Florentine cookie caught my eye for the first time, so I had to buy it immediately. The staff at the store mentioned that it's a popular item that sells out quickly. It's incredibly delicious. I'll definitely stock up on it next time I see it!

I had a matcha red bean butter sandwich. The rich aroma of Uji matcha and sweet red beans are mixed generously into the buttercream. The cream is rich yet not overwhelming, with a refined sweetness and aroma of matcha, along with the unique crunchy texture of red beans. It was delicious.
