I finally visited this cute temari sushi restaurant that I've been curious about for a while. I had a 15-piece set on this day. From the top left, there was nama-fu, shrimp, shiitake mushroom, kanpyo, scallop, takenoko bamboo shoot, marinated tuna, yuba, cucumber and myoga, Omi konjac, pickled ginger, marinated sea bream, salmon, grilled anago eel, and mackerel. The hojicha ice cream for dessert was also really delicious!

Temaki sushi (10 pieces) with red miso soup and dessert for 2640 yen. Cute, fun, delicious! Each piece comes with a description so you can enjoy them one by one. The restaurant looks like a house but they also sell pottery, and the dishes are elaborate. The red miso soup had shrimp heads in it. You can choose your dessert, and I chose black honey with coconut milk. It was really delicious.

There is a sushi restaurant on the side of Kitaoji Station (near Kitaoji Vivre). The size of each sushi is cute and just right. I was surprised by the combinations of ingredients I had never tried before. It was a relaxing experience.

I came to Kyoto. I will stay at the hotel tonight. I didn't include dinner, so I was thinking about where to eat, but this time I thought I would relax at the hotel. Since it's cherry blossom season, I thought about getting a bento box. I decided to order a high-class bento box from a long-established shop. However, when I called, I found out that they were undergoing relocation and renovation, and would reopen in two days. I remembered "Tsumami Sushi" where I had bought a bento box at Isetan in Kyoto Station before. It seems okay to make a reservation on the same day. I will decide whether to eat out or get a bento box depending on the crowd on the day. There were a lot of people even before going to Kyoto City. It seems crowded everywhere in Kyoto City. I was supposed to go to a cherry blossom viewing spot before lunch, but just going to the lunch place was a challenge. After having lunch, I called and they said it would take a little while, but they would have it ready at the specified time. The cherry blossoms along the Kamo River were in full bloom, and it was a perfect weather for flower viewing. While glancing at the cherry blossoms, I headed back to the hotel. There was also a line for check-in at the hotel. Finally, I made it to the room. I thought the public bath would be less crowded around 6 pm, so I went there. After that, I spread out the bento box in the room. I also had some alcohol prepared, so I toasted while watching TV. Cheers~! The bento box was colorful and beautiful, and so enjoyable. I wonder what to eat first, but the scallops were delicious. Everything was delicious! I finished it in no time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! I have been wanting to try Hanazuta's sushi for a while now. I made a reservation the day before and opted for takeout. It was convenient that I could pick it up starting from 9 am. I went to the shop around 9:30 am to pick up my order. I ordered the 10-piece sushi assortment (2160 yen) and the Kyoto Otanuki-san (1080 yen). The sushi pieces were like delicate Japanese sweets, each perfectly sized. The lineup of seasonal ingredients had a Kyoto flair, adding a touch of seasonality and color. The selection included: - Omi konjac - Kelp-cured sea bream - Fresh yuba (tofu skin) - Smoked salmon - Kanpyo (dried gourd strips) - Fresh confectionery - Senmaizuke (pickled vegetables) - Marinated tuna - Grilled anago (sea eel) - Vinegared mackerel The attention to detail in each piece was exceptional, and the flavors were outstanding. The sushi rice had a perfect balance of sweetness from red vinegar, complementing the toppings beautifully. The Kyoto Otanuki-san was a unique sushi featuring yuba (tofu skin) instead of fried tofu for the inari sushi. Each of the 8 pieces had a different filling, such as simmered hijiki seaweed, kinpira burdock root, beef and konjac simmered in soy sauce, simmered dried daikon radish, minced chicken, simmered shiitake mushroom, Omi konjac, and Shibazuke (pickled vegetables).
