After 3 o'clock, I searched for a lunch place but everywhere was closed. Feeling hot and starving, I found a sign and nervously entered. I ordered a roast beef bowl which was delicious. For dessert, I had a tea-soaked rice dish. The staff were friendly and I would like to come back again. Next time, I want to try going for drinks after dinner.

I was able to enjoy beer in the open space on the rooftop. It was so wonderful to be able to have a meal while looking at the city of Kyoto as the sun sets. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were kind and considerate of the temperature. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

It was disappointing that our BBQ plan on the terrace was moved indoors due to rain, but using a hot plate indoors was still enjoyable. The beef, pork, and chicken were all delicious, and it was convenient that we could also order from the a la carte menu. I hope to try dining on the terrace next time.

I visited the place I was curious about for lunch. I ordered the beef bowl that I wanted to eat. The meat on top was very delicious, and it became even more delicious when I poured the broth over it after eating about half of it. I also got two side dishes and soup, so I was full.

I love girls! I had NIKU donburi at a hidden bar! Friday 13:45, 2 groups of customers already there. After that, more customers, mostly girls, kept coming in. I asked on my way out and apparently, the place is always busy until around 4 pm! It's popular! The atmosphere was perfect with girls in kimonos playing around, probably because of the season. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of a building that you might easily miss if you don't know about it. It truly is a hidden gem. Inside, it has a cute cafe-like space with a terrace. Speaking of the terrace, see below! They also serve liqueurs and whiskies, so they probably turn into a bar at night. - NIKU donburi ¥1400 (2 side dishes, soup, and tea-marinated meat set). They serve the tea-marinated set hot, so they bring it halfway through your meal. First, the side dishes! There was a tomato-based sauce that tasted like a stew. It was like a pot-au-feu, and it was delicious! The potato salad was also to my liking! Yummy! Then the main dish, the NIKU donburi! I started by just adding soy sauce... delicious! The moist roast beef coated in egg and soy sauce was amazing. The portion is just right for a girl to feel full! I ate half, added some condiments, and ordered the broth. Pouring the hot broth over the pink meat, the flavors were heavenly! The broth itself was a simple kelp-based dashi that every Japanese person would love. If you take a girl to this hidden gem, your stock as a man will surely rise! There is also a terrace on the rooftop. Although there were no cushions out due to recent rain, the view of the Kamogawa River was amazing. The terrace is usually fully booked in March and April, so make sure to reserve in advance if you plan to use it! Cool guys and girls who can have a BBQ in a place like this will definitely be remembered. The owner seemed quiet, but the female staff was very friendly! It was a pleasant dining experience!

[Gion, Kyoto] ~A hidden gem with a rooftop~ *WiFi and power outlets available* Lunch is by reservation only Discovering a hard-to-find spot in Gion! Have you found it yet? Don't give me that look ✋ Just kidding, let's get back on track. First, get off at Keihan Gion Shijo Station and walk north on Kawabata Street. Turn right at cacaomarket, then take the first left. Keep walking straight while looking to your right, it's about a 3-minute walk. Don't miss it! ❤️ This place offers amazing value for money! It's a secret dining bar with a rooftop where you can enjoy drinks while admiring the Kyoto scenery in the warm seasons of spring and summer. Even locals in Kyoto might not know about this wonderful dining bar that I almost don't want to share. It's called Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA. Today's orders: - Beef bowl: 1,100 yen + extra meat: 550 yen - Taiwanese motsunabe (red): 1,450 yen (serves 1) *Order for 2 or more available The portion size is huge and the prices are unbelievably cheap! Plus, it's incredibly delicious. The motsunabe is so good that you'll want to take a bath in it. The regular motsunabe starts from 1,200 yen, so it's really affordable! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the beef bowl, which is also delicious and Instagram-worthy. The impact of the motsunabe is no joke! I should have introduced this place earlier, but better late than never. Bon appétit! I ate so much today... or rather, I overate. Thanks for the meal! \( *´ω`* )/

Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA is a stylish restaurant and bar located about a 5-minute walk from Keihan Gion Shijo Station in Kyoto. This time, I visited for lunch and had the beef bowl. I splurged on extra meat, and it was just packed with delicious meat. The interior of the restaurant is stylish, and there is also a terrace seat on the rooftop, making it perfect for dates.

I had lunch at @bistro.bar.hakoniwa in Gion, Kyoto. It's a hidden gem on the fourth floor of a building, with a terrace where even dogs are welcome. I tried the NIKU donburi for ¥1,100, which was delicious and filling. The roast beef and Kyoto egg used in the dish were top-notch. The tomato with Kyushu honey was refreshing and sweet, while the sweet potato and cream cheese potato salad was a favorite of mine. The soy sauce used on the meat bowl enhanced the flavor, and the meat tea pickles served as a perfect ending to the meal. The restaurant also offers motsunabe in the evening. I highly recommend this place in Gion for delicious and affordable meat bowls. Don't miss out when visiting Kyoto during the autumn foliage season. Check their opening hours and days before visiting. Enjoy exploring Kyoto's food scene!

I visited "Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA" in Gion Shijo, Kyoto! This hidden gem in a Gion building offers a lunch menu featuring NIKU don (1100 yen) and Kyoto-style egg hamburger (950 yen). The NIKU don uses luxurious roast beef and rich Kyoto egg, which pairs perfectly together. The broth that comes with it can be used to make meat tea pickles, providing multiple ways to enjoy it. The Kyoto-style egg hamburger is juicy and the richness of the egg is irresistible. The restaurant also has a terrace and serves dishes like motsu nabe at night. Restaurant information: Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA, 216-2 Nishinomachi, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto 605-0088, Roppe Shinbashi Oonishi Building 4th floor, 080-6513-0119.

When I went to Kyoto, I visited a hidden gem dining bar called "HAKONIWA". It has a stylish counter seat and cute sofa seats, so you can relax and enjoy your time there. They also have adorable and friendly fish! I tried the roast beef temari sushi made with Shiga's Omi beef and the beef stew, both were delicious. They have a great variety of drinks too. The atmosphere is welcoming for both dates and solo dining, so it's a great place to visit when you want to have a drink alone.

【Kyoto Gion】Enjoy Omi beef at a reasonable price ~ Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA Did you know that Kyoto is not only famous for its traditional Japanese cuisine like obanzai and Kyoto vegetables, but also for its many excellent meat restaurants? From high-end establishments for special occasions to casual spots for a fun night out with friends, Kyoto has a variety of meat dishes to offer. This time, I visited Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA, a place where you can leisurely enjoy Omi beef with your close friends while keeping it affordable. The restaurant has a counter with 5 seats and 2 table seats, and I chose to sit at the counter to watch the chefs in action. I informed the chef of my budget and left the meal selection to them, starting with a toast using a wine cocktail kit. The appetizers included a platter of caprese with tomatoes and mozzarella, an adult-style potato salad, and a cheese assortment, all beautifully presented and setting the mood high. The special Omi beef roast beef and temari sushi tower were delicious and visually appealing, with the temari-sized sushi being both cute and Instagram-worthy. I also requested a Japanese-style pasta, which had a comforting flavor thanks to the dashi used by the chef, who has a background in Japanese cuisine. We enjoyed dishes not listed on the menu while chatting across the counter, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I left feeling satisfied as if I had just enjoyed a Japanese meal, thanks to the cozy atmosphere and seasonal creative dishes. I definitely want to come back for more at Bistro×Bar HAKONIWA.
