Instagram Account: @yunnaramen 【Shop Name】Guchoku @ Itabashi-ku, Nakaitabashi Station in Tokyo 【Menu】Tonkotsu Ramen 700 yen When it comes to the famous tonkotsu shops in Itabashi-ku, Guchoku is the place to go! It's been a long time since my last visit~ 😊 It's quite far, and sometimes they have temporary closures or open a bit late, so it's hard to find the right timing. There are some rules at the shop that may not be clear for first-timers! Currently, there is no signboard, so it's a bit hard to find? When lining up, it's a one person in, one person out style! I always go when they are operating with just one staff member, so it's better to buy the extra noodles from the ticket machine and get them served in advance. It might be difficult to pay with cash later on. From the visual alone, this tonkotsu ramen is unique with bubbles on top, not emitting a strong smell of tonkotsu ramen. When you sip the soup, you can feel the carefully boiled tonkotsu, rich, creamy, and full of umami flavor, super delicious! It will make you love tonkotsu even more and expand your world of tonkotsu! Tonkotsu LOVE ❤️ The noodles are thicker than Hakata-style and made with whole grain flour, which is also very delicious! The char siu is fragrant and goes surprisingly well with the dried seaweed. This bowl of tonkotsu ramen is full of originality and loved by everyone, whether you love tonkotsu or not! I hope everyone gets a chance to try it! Thank you for the meal~ ♡ ------------------------------ ⭐️ Guchoku 12-7 Oyaguchikita-cho, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, 1F Seven Mansion Tobu Tojo Line Nakaitabashi Station 12:00-14:30 / 19:00-21:00 (approximately) Closed on Thursdays, Mondays are open for lunch only, Saturday evenings open Check Twitter for updates ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ #Ramen #RamenLover #RamenEnthusiast #RamenInstagram #RamenGirls #RamenReview #TokyoRamen #Yummy #ItabashiRamen #YunnaTonkotsu ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

I came to Guchoku in Naka-Itabashi at 13:22 on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The current rating on Tabelog is 3.73. As you get closer to the restaurant, you can see the line from afar. The restaurant has no sign, so if there is no line, you might not even guess that this place is a ramen shop. They have a touch panel ticket machine that accepts cashless payments. I ordered the classic "tonkotsu ramen." Inside the restaurant, there are 6 counter seats with a seasoned young owner handling everything. The cooking process is meticulous, so I might have to wait a bit. They were playing music from the 90s on TV, like ZARD and THE BOOM. The ramen arrived at 13:32. It had a different look from the typical Hakata ramen, with a creamy tonkotsu soup that was rich and flavorful. The broth was extremely rich in umami, with a strong soy sauce flavor. The noodles were medium-thick, straight noodles cooked slightly softer than usual. The smoked chashu had a smoky flavor, and the thick menma had a soft texture. There were no typical toppings like pepper on the table, but there was no option for flavor variations like red pickled ginger. The foam on the surface had a light pork smell, which might have been intentionally added later to enhance the taste. Overall, the ramen was delicious and different from Kyushu-style tonkotsu ramen. The double white and green onions added a nice touch to the soup. It's like a power hitter in baseball - if you hit it right, it's a home run, but if not, it might just be a pop fly to second base. The tonkotsu ramen here is unique and tasty.

On a Saturday holiday, I had a craving for tonkotsu ramen after a long time, so I braved the scorching heat in a T-shirt and shorts, rode my bike with determination along the Kawagoe Kaido, and went to eat it. The foam floating on the soup was very beautiful. The noodles were thin, but had a satisfying chewy texture. My impression after eating it was, "They must have put a lot of effort into the soup." It had a deep flavor with plenty of gelatin. The young owner managed the shop alone, and although he was quiet, he provided very friendly customer service. I had delicious ramen after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

The rich and delicious tonkotsu soup with whole wheat noodles and flavorful seasoned egg were all so tasty. This post serves as a memo with my personal rating and a brief comment to remember how delicious the restaurant was. Please note that the rating is subjective and may be influenced by my mood and physical condition.

Tonkotsu ramen for 800 yen, extra noodles for 150 yen, flavored egg for 100 yen, spicy pickled vegetables for 50 yen, shredded pork for 100 yen. Arrived on a weekday after 8 pm, lined up with 2 people. Received the ramen in about 15 minutes. The soup is rich and creamy with a thick umami flavor, despite being made purely from pork bones, it's delicious without any unpleasant smell. The noodles are medium straight noodles with a whole wheat-like texture, satisfying chewiness and delicious taste. The pork slices are smoked chicken and pork belly, with the pork belly seaweed being particularly tasty. The flavored egg was also smoked. The shredded pork has a sweet ginger flavor. Great value for the price.

When the new coronavirus started to spread, I had tried takeout before, but this was my first time eating at the actual restaurant. The owner seemed to have irregular business hours due to their health, but lately they seem to be more stable. Although I initially thought of trying the classic menu item, I couldn't resist the limited spicy miso ramen. I also added a seasoned boiled egg. It was a great choice, the ramen was incredibly delicious. The noodles were different from the classic tonkotsu ramen, they were flat and thick, with an amazing texture. The soup wasn't as spicy as I expected, but the miso tonkotsu flavor was outstanding. I will definitely go back again.

Today is a Saturday in August. I finally found the time to visit Guchoku in Naka-Itabashi. The pork bone ramen at this place has received high praise, and the limited operating hours due to the owner's health condition made it a bit challenging to visit. I decided to walk from Kotake-Mukaihara Station, which took about 20 minutes. The restaurant is located along Route 254. The closest station would be Tobu-Naka-Itabashi Station. It was Saturday at 2 pm when I arrived, and there were already 4 customers waiting outside. It's a popular place. The system is one customer out, one customer in. I entered the shop. As of August 12, 2023, the tonkotsu ramen is priced at 800 yen, with an option for extra noodles at 150 yen. I decided to skip the extra noodles this time. I had to purchase the meal ticket first before handing it over. I couldn't eat more than 400 grams of noodles. I also bought a spicy pickled mustard greens for 50 yen and a flavored egg for 100 yen, which seemed quite cheap in today's standards. There was only one male staff member handling everything. Now, onto the review: - Visual: The long-awaited ramen had a wild and attractive appearance with 3 slices of chashu in the center, topped with green onions and seaweed. The slightly foamy tonkotsu broth looked promising. - Soup: Creamy with no hint of unpleasant smell. The deliciousness of the pork bone was evident and it was easy to see why this ramen is so popular. - Noodles: Firm, medium-thick straight noodles that paired well with the soup. I added the spicy pickled mustard greens halfway through, but it slightly altered the pure pork bone flavor. It might have been better without the greens today. Overall, this was a truly delicious bowl of ramen. Tokyo's tonkotsu ramen scene is truly fascinating. Thank you for the meal.

About a 10-minute walk from Nakanohashimae Station. Visited during lunchtime with a wait of about 3 people. Decided to visit after seeing the reviews. Ordered the basic menu item, Tonkotsu Ramen for 800 yen. It was surprisingly not too strong in flavor, making it easy to eat. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch. Guchoku-san is famous for their tonkotsu in this area. Maybe because it had rained heavily just before, there was no line. However, the inside of the restaurant was almost full. I realized I had forgotten my wallet as soon as I entered, but I was saved by the electronic payment available at the ticket machine. I wanted to try the limited edition tonkotsu miso ramen, but it was sold out, so I had the tonkotsu ramen (¥800) and shredded pork (¥100). The noodles arrived in less than 10 minutes. The tonkotsu here is rich and has a strong pork flavor. I also like the cleaner tonkotsu from places like Ippudo and Santouka, but this type of tonkotsu is also a favorite of mine. The seaweed on top has a hint of sea flavor. The smoked pork is delicious, and the bamboo shoots are thick and flavorful. All the toppings have a strong presence that doesn't get overshadowed by the soup. The shredded pork is tender and feels like it would go well with rice. After finishing the meal, I felt a slight heaviness in my stomach, but the satisfaction level was very high. Thank you for the meal. I will come again.

I ordered the limited edition pork bone soy sauce ramen. The menu includes the classic pork bone ramen plus a daily rotating limited edition ramen. I wanted to try the cold ramen, but it wasn't available today, which was disappointing. The soup had a sweet and rich flavor from the back fat, but it wasn't greasy. The thick noodles were delicious too! The bean sprouts and green onions were crunchy and added a nice texture. I will come back next time to try the cold ramen.

[Guzoku / Chubuhashi] Tabelog 3.72 (July 22, 2023) I had always wanted to visit this restaurant but never got the chance until now. I arrived at the restaurant right at its opening time of 12 o'clock. I ordered the limited edition "Kishu Nanko Ume Cold Ramen" (large serving) for 1,150 yen. The soup was a refreshing bonito-based dashi broth with a slight sliminess. There was a large Nanko Ume plum in the bowl, which I crushed and sprinkled over the noodles. The plum was sweet with little sourness or saltiness. The soup had a slight bitterness, but it was masked by the plum. The chashu was made of both pork and chicken, and both were mild in flavor. The menma (bamboo shoots) was thick and had a light seasoning. I think the reason for the light toppings is because the default ramen is rich and heavy, so they opted for lighter toppings even in the cold ramen version. While I think the light flavor is easy to eat on a hot day, I found the overall execution a bit underwhelming. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant just before 2 pm on a regular day and had to wait for 2 people ahead of me. I was able to get a table in about 15 minutes. The sign outside may be hard to spot. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen (800 yen). The broth was very rich and had a strong pork bone flavor with a noticeable smell. I haven't come across many places with such a strong smell before. It wasn't to my liking, but it seems to be popular among regular customers.

Taste: 3.5 Cleanliness: 3.0 Customer service: 3.0 Cost performance: 3.8 Preference: 3.5 Will it be a creamy soup? The firmness of the noodles was comfortable. The toppings were also substantial, and I felt the cost performance was good. This time, I felt the saltiness was a bit strong (maybe because it was a consecutive visit from Chin Soba Osada), but I enjoyed it.

I lined up and entered the restaurant! I ordered tonkotsu ramen with a seasoned egg topping. I got a free shredded pork coupon by signing up for the newsletter, so I added extra toppings! You can scan the QR code on the storefront to sign up. I forgot about the seasoned egg, but I showed them a photo and got it later haha. The taste was okay, a mix of seasoned pork and ramen flavors. The limited edition bowl was delicious.

Guchoku @ Nakanohashitekkotsu Ramen + Flavored Egg + Small Rice... A famous pork bone ramen shop that once took the world by storm. It's been a while. About a 40-minute wait on a holiday. The original pork bone ramen, with its creamy bubbly soup and straight noodles, is still going strong. The default noodle portion is 200g, so with rice, it's a satisfying meal. I was debating on getting an extra serving of noodles, but decided against it which turned out to be the right choice. The owner used to seem a bit tense, but today he seemed nice. Not sure if the owner has changed or if it was just a different day. #Ramen #Tsukemen #Noodlestagram #RamenInstagram #ramen #TokyoRamen #PorkBoneRamen #NakanohashiekiGourmet #Guchoku

Today's otaku activity took me to Guchoku-san, located an 8-minute walk from Naka-Itabashi Station. Although the straight-line distance from the station is close, the winding residential area makes it quite far. Guchoku-san is a famous tonkotsu ramen shop that has not been selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops, but has won awards such as the Try award consecutively. I visited the shop around lunchtime with fellow ramen otaku, and as expected, it was a popular spot with 8 people waiting outside. The shop is small with only a counter, so the turnover is not very fast. After waiting for about 30 minutes, we were soon seated. The small L-shaped counter had a female waitress and the owner. We all ordered the default tonkotsu ramen. After a 5-minute wait, our eagerly awaited ramen arrived. The visual presentation was truly the epitome of tonkotsu ramen, with a unique aroma and color of dried seaweed. The smoked chashu and two types of meatballs were also interesting. The first sip of the creamy and flavorful tonkotsu soup was delightful. It was not overly greasy or heavy. The noodles were the classic low-hydration square-cut noodles that clung well to the rich tonkotsu soup. The toppings included a jelly-like half-boiled smoked egg, meatballs, and bamboo shoots. The standout was definitely the dried seaweed, which added a wonderful aroma and complemented the tonkotsu and nori flavors. We quickly finished our bowls, and it was easy to see why there was always a line at this place. It was a satisfying ramen experience at Guchoku-san.

I went to Guchoku, a tonkotsu ramen shop in Naka-Itabashi. There were about 7 customers ahead of me, so I ordered the second round of tonkotsu ramen for 700 yen. The soup was creamy tonkotsu, rich but without any unpleasant smell. The noodles were firm, and the chashu and seasoned egg were delicious. It's great value for the price and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I had some business near Guchoku Ramen and since there was not much of a line and the timing seemed good, I decided to wait. After a while, I entered the shop. I debated getting the limited edition ramen, but ended up ordering the default tonkotsu ramen for ¥800, with an extra serving of noodles for ¥150, and some spicy pickled vegetables for ¥50. The tonkotsu ramen arrived after about 5 minutes, and the soup had a refreshing taste today. I enjoyed the first serving with just garlic, and then used the extra noodles to enjoy the pickled vegetables as a flavor change. Since the soup was light this time, I thought the extra noodles were a good choice. Thank you for the meal, I will visit again!

When I visited the restaurant, I was hesitant at first because it specializes in tonkotsu ramen, which I usually don't enjoy. However, I decided to try their limited edition "Indulgent Pork Bone Miso Ramen" that caught my eye. The ramen arrived looking very rich and heavy, with a layer of pork fat on top. Despite my initial reservations, I found the soup to be surprisingly flavorful without any unpleasant odors or overwhelming collagen. The miso flavor was subtle, and the noodles were a perfect match for the soup. The shredded pork topping was particularly delicious, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dish. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy to eat and enjoyable this tonkotsu ramen was, compared to others I have tried in the past. It was a satisfying meal, and I left the restaurant feeling content.

Probably not my first visit. One person waiting around 1pm. Ordered the Ajitama Ramen. The balance of pork bone soy sauce was delicious. It was good for me who seeks the harmony between noodles and soup. However, the soup itself is strong in flavor, so I would be happy if they could dilute it a bit.

Appearance The shop is located along Route 254 (commonly known as Kawagoe Kaido), about a 7-8 minute walk from Tobu Tojo Line's Naka-Itabashi Station, passing through a residential area. The exterior used to have a sign, but during the visit, only the framework was visible. Entry Method and Shop Rules [Entry Method] Since it is a popular shop with limited seating, here is how to enter: 1) There is no reception desk, so when it's full, line up to the left of the store. 2) There are entrances to apartments and houses nearby, so be mindful not to cause any inconvenience to the neighbors. 3) When people leave the shop, the same number can enter. 4) Upon entering the shop, purchase a meal ticket from the vending machine, take a seat, and hand over the ticket. [Shop Rules] The shop rules are posted on the door, so take a look before entering. They are common sense, but regarding ramen, remember to present the extra noodle ticket first. Interior The interior has only 7 counter seats, but it doesn't feel cramped. There are hooks behind the seats for hanging bags and jackets. Vending Machine and Menu The ramen options include basic Tonkotsu Ramen, as well as two limited edition choices. Tonkotsu comes with the option of extra noodles, while the limited editions offer regular and large sizes with toppings like spicy pickled mustard greens and flavored eggs. Side dishes include rice and pork bowl. Tonkotsu Ramen The signature Tonkotsu Ramen is served in a large bowl, offering a substantial portion. The ramen is topped with dried seaweed and green onions, which complement the pork bone broth well. The seaweed adds an interesting touch as an accent to the broth. The ramen also includes bamboo shoots, which are sliced thick, slightly crunchy, and sweet in flavor. The chashu comes in two varieties: seared and smoked, each with distinct flavors. The noodles are straight and thick, with a firm texture and a unique speckled appearance. The soup has a rich pork bone aroma with a strong soy sauce flavor, providing a creamy mouthfeel with a clear pork bone presence. Extra Noodles Extra noodles are served on a separate plate, adding to the already generous portion of ramen. After finishing the extra noodles, you'll feel quite satisfied. Review "I will definitely come back again!"
