~Creative Salted Noodles with Toyama Prefecture's Firefly Squid~
A special annual project by Gantetsu-san! This dish uses the currently in-season firefly squid in a luxurious way. Arrive 2 hours before opening and wait patiently. *This menu is currently no longer available.
Using a whole broth extracted from natural red snapper from Kumamoto Prefecture, this dish features a golden-colored light salt soup, paired with smooth medium-thick straight noodles to dip in! A soup that shines brightly for the anniversary festival! It blends smoothly with the body. The firefly squid sashimi, ink-grilled, boiled, and pickled are all wonderful!! A sure win. It may be the first time I've eaten so many firefly squids in one meal. It was amazing. The soup was finished in no time, even with soup refills! They regularly offer attractive limited-time noodles, so be sure to check them out. Thank you for the meal! Let's go again soon.

It was around 12:30 on Saturday and I thought it would be crowded, but there was no line. You buy a meal ticket style. The soy sauce ramen was 1100 yen. The shop only had a counter and was about 80% full. The turnover seemed good so there wasn't much of a wait. The chashu was thick and the sweet fat was satisfying. The noodles were smooth and had a unique texture. It was delicious.

I went to the sister restaurant of Menya Musashi in Osaka with high expectations. I visited around 1 pm on a Tuesday and was able to enter without waiting. The ticket machine is quite advanced and accepts electronic money and cards, which is convenient. Although the Tuna Shio and Malt Chou Ramen seem to be popular, I decided to order the classic "Niku Shoyu" first. This ramen truly captures the essence of Menya Musashi! Especially the gentle sweetness in the soy sauce soup and the thick slices of chashu are reminiscent of Menya Musashi's DNA. I have been to Menya Musashi in Osaka before, but I was impressed to find a similar taste in Tokyo! I highly recommend it to those who have never been to Menya Musashi as well!

Ramen Kentei - Magistrate of Ramen
Tuna Salt Cold Ramen, Large, 2800 yen
Waseda, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
Magistrate's seasonal limited edition menus are always incredibly delicious, and as summer comes to an end, I couldn't resist trying their annual Tuna Salt Cold Ramen. The price seems to go up every year, but it's worth it for the quality.
This year, the presentation of the dish has a slight change, and the texture of the tuna is even softer. The smoked large slice of tuna is truly delicious. The bowl exudes a sense of coolness and clarity, making it visually appealing.
The balance of saltiness in the cold broth is exceptional, and the chilled soup is incredibly tasty. The roast beef in the dish seems to have a richer flavor this year, adding to the overall enjoyment.
The secret to Magistrate's deliciousness lies in their noodles. While pairing them with noodles from a noodle factory is good, nothing beats Magistrate's homemade noodles. Even with 300g of noodles, they disappear in no time due to their deliciousness.
The Tuna Salt Cold Ramen is available until September 21st, so don't miss out!
Before indulging in the ramen, I'm currently taking on the challenge of drinking green juice. The taste is a delightful blend of matcha and green tea, making it easy to drink and delicious.
Thank you for the wonderful meal, Magistrate!

Due to the bad weather or the fact that it was around 1:30 pm on a weekday, I was seated immediately. I purchased a salted pork ramen ticket for 1600 yen from the ticket machine and was shown to my seat. Recently, it has become common for ramen prices to exceed 1500 yen, so I wasn't too surprised. It was convenient that the ticket machine accepted cashless payments. I started with the soup, which was delicious! As I continued eating, I somehow got tired of it. The tuna was also tasty, but it didn't leave a lasting impression of exceptional flavor... The cashless ticket machine was the most memorable part of the experience.

Today I visited this restaurant. I ordered the Meat Soy Sauce Ramen for 1,400 yen and a side of rice for 200 yen. I wanted to try the Maruchou Ramen but it was already sold out, so I went with the Meat Soy Sauce Ramen instead. The soup was a gentle soy sauce flavor, refreshing yet still rich in taste. The green onions were really good too. The chashu had a good amount of fat and tasted amazing when eaten with rice.

A summer limited edition bowl with a total of 1450 yen, including a 300g serving, 1300g of noodles, and 150g of seasoned egg. It's a bowl that can be enjoyed like soba noodles, perfect for hot summer days. The three slices of chashu are also very filling. With such delicious limited edition options, you have to try the regular menu items as well.

On a still hot weekday morning, I was looking for a shop in the neighborhood. I was in the mood for ramen... I visited this place. At exactly 11:45, it was full, so I waited inside because it was hot outside, and I was seated in about 10 minutes. I ordered the pork soy sauce ramen, and the soup was hot! I already like hot soup, but this was the kind of heat that makes you want to eat it again in cold weather. It was a well-balanced bowl overall, and I especially enjoyed the smoothness of the noodles. Thank you for the meal.

I was quite lost with so many options on the menu, so I decided to keep it simple and ordered the soy sauce ramen for 1100 yen. Despite the name of the restaurant, the ramen had a clear soup and a simple appearance. The straight noodles were chewy and delicious. The soup had a light taste of chicken and soy sauce, and I couldn't stop eating it. The chashu was thick and moist, with a hint of smokiness that added to its flavor. However, I made the mistake of only eating the dry parts of the chashu, which left me feeling a bit heavy in the stomach. I would like to try their limited edition ramen next time. I got a bit scared when I saw the 1000 yen charge for leftovers, haha.

85th stop on the Tokyo Ramen Top 100 list. I had been putting off visiting this place because I thought I could go anytime. Surprisingly, it was quite empty, with only three other customers when I arrived just past noon. I ordered the Niku Shoyu (pork soy sauce) ramen from the ticket machine. The amber-colored soy sauce broth had a distinct chicken aroma and a nice depth of flavor. The medium-thin noodles had a chewy texture that reminded me of cold noodles. The generous amount of finely chopped green onions as a topping complemented the sweetness of the broth. The menma (bamboo shoots) was average, but the standout was the thick slice of pan-seared chashu (pork). It was moist, flavorful, and satisfying to eat. The delicate flavor of the broth allowed the chashu to stand out. Overall, a delicious meal.

Soy sauce ramen for 1100 yen. Arrived at 12:45 and had to wait in line as the restaurant was full. Got my bowl at 13:05, with a clear soup base and a light soy sauce flavor. The chicken umami was strong and the sweetness was pronounced. The soup was of a high level quality. The homemade straight noodles were cooked just right, not too soft like many other ramen places. They were smooth and delicious. The thick slices of chashu were flavorful and satisfying to eat. Adding black pepper made it even tastier. The seasoned bamboo shoots had a strong flavor and a nice crunchy texture, adding a good accent. The fresh green onions also added a nice touch. Overall, it was a truly delicious bowl of ramen. On the table, there was black pepper and shichimi pepper for seasoning.

In short, it felt like the restaurant specialized in enjoying tsukemen noodles similar to traditional soba noodles. The noodles, being 300g and made by a skilled noodle maker, were delicious. They were served with a cold dipping sauce that was refreshing to eat. The thick slices of chashu pork were packed with flavor.

I visited the restaurant on a really bad timing. I arrived a little before opening time and lined up, but the store didn't open at all. Even after opening, the line to get in was packed. According to social media, one staff member was absent due to illness, causing the opening time to be delayed by about 15 minutes (I wish they had told us sooner! I was sweating in the scorching sun). After finally getting in, I found out that the new "Tuna Salt Cold Noodles" were only available for cash payments due to ticket machine trouble. Despite all these issues, the "Tuna Salt Cold Noodles" I had were incredibly satisfying. The marinated tuna, the roast beef, the accents of green onions and nagaimo - everything was so good that I could feel the saltiness replenishing the sweat I had just lost. The noodles had a great texture and were delicious.

Every year on Mountain Day, they offer a special tuna mountain ramen. It was my first visit and I was immediately told it was a limited order. There are four large slices of marinated tuna hidden in the bowl. You can increase the noodles up to 300g for free, and you also get a side of extra rice, so you'll leave feeling full. Next time, I'll try the regular ramen that costs less than 1000 yen.

Second time here since last summer. The ticket machine has evolved and now accepts PayPay. That's good, but when I purchased a 1600 yen meat ramen ticket, a 1300 yen tuna ramen ticket came out instead. I noticed because I had seen a picture beforehand, but even that one had quite a bit of meat on it. I might not have noticed otherwise, and I might have ended up eating it even though I ordered a meat ramen. I had to point it out, otherwise they would have served it as is (a little annoyed). Why make a mistake with the ticket? There was only one customer, me, when they served it right away. And getting the expensive one wrong for the cheaper one is even worse. I know it was probably just a coincidence (they would have gone out of business if they did this all the time), but the person who was affected didn't feel good about it.

Around 4:00 PM on Sunday, Ramen Walker in Sakura Town, Saitama Prefecture (nearest to Higashi-Tokorozawa Station), had Ramen Gantetsu this week. I parked in Sakura Town and bought a ticket from the machine (soy sauce ramen). The staff guided me to my seat. The soup was light and I drank it all up. I will definitely visit again.

It was a hot day, but the hot soy sauce ramen was delicious. The staff were making the ramen seriously in the midst of the stifling steam and hot air inside the counter... that might be the secret of its deliciousness. I thought it was truly a great restaurant.

During the hot summer, I tried cold dipping noodles for the first time. The noodles were served in a soba cup with a flavorful sauce and topped with refreshing green onions. The generous portion of char siu was delicious as well. The sauce was like a thick soy sauce-based soup, perfect for eating without breaking a sweat. The remaining sauce could be diluted with soup, which was also very tasty. The broth in this restaurant is truly top-notch. I am now craving their classic soy sauce ramen for my next visit.

Ramen Ganzetsu☑️ Salt Mamushi 3300 yen☑️ Eel Rice Bowl 200 yen Waseda, Tokyo, founded in 2014 by a former popular Osaka ramen shop, Men Tetsu✨ Next year, Ramen Ganzetsu will celebrate its 10th anniversary! The annual tradition of Salt Mamushi on the midsummer day of the Ox is here again! It might have increased by over 2000 yen compared to the past. In Kansai, eel is called "mamushi." It's a naming choice by the Kansai-born owner. They cook the eel in a Kansai-style way, which is to grill it after steaming it once. It's true that the slightly firm and flavorful eel goes really well with the ramen. The owner's idea to pair it with the soup is spot on. It's incredibly delicious, and you can't help but smile naturally. The way they grill the eel is just perfect, and there might not be any other ramen shop that can provide such delicious eel. The horseradish is also amazing. It makes a huge difference! Topping it with yamaimo (mountain yam) is a tradition and it goes really well with the eel. The soup is unbelievably delicious. The first bite is great, and the flavor lasts until the very last drop. The harmony of the eel's flavor is at its peak at the end. It feels so satisfying to finish the bowl. The eel head and chashu on the rice bowl are a service! I've never eaten eel head before, so it was a valuable experience for me. It was delicious to eat it as is at first, and then pour the soup over it later to enjoy it like hitsumabushi. Thank you for the feast! Seating: 0 people Seasonal limited lunch menu "Mori" 200g 1200 yen 300g 1300 yen 400g 1400 yen 500g 1500 yen *Starting this year, customers who order 400g or more and leave food uneaten will be fined 1000 yen. Personally, even 300g was too much for me, so please be careful! This time, I had 300g with a seasoned boiled egg topping, bonito in a rich soy sauce broth, and homemade noodles, which were a perfect match! When it comes to summer, this is what I crave! The fatty char siu was also delicious! It was very tasty. I will definitely order this again if I can go back. Thank you for the meal.
