Starting with a draft beer and moving on to cold sake and then hot sake, I gradually relax more and more, both mentally and physically. This is truly a wonderful restaurant! I visited for lunch today and sat at a box seat. However, when it comes to dinner, my little obsession is to sit at the counter seat. I think it's necessary to change the seat to change the impression of the same restaurant between lunch and dinner. For lunch, I always stick to the "assorted sushi" only (without additional orders). Today's lunch included "assorted sushi," "special nigiri," and a draft beer. The consistent deliciousness that never changes! And a beer in the middle of the day! It was the best lunch. I walk into a restaurant without a reservation, sit down quickly, order my favorite sushi, and enjoy it... It is truly a blissful moment. The sushi toppings, rice, and side dishes are all friendly and delicious, providing a stable sense of satisfaction with each dish. And when the bill is also reasonable, I feel completely satisfied with "just right." The friendly smile and greeting from the chef every time also add to the satisfaction of this restaurant. The sushi rice is Kyoto-style, slightly soft, with a light touch of vinegar. The sushi pieces are small and elegant overall. The ingredients maintain their original flavors (squid tastes like squid, octopus tastes like octopus, etc.). While it may not be mind-blowing, it sticks to the basics and in a way, represents the essence of sushi. I'm sure I will continue to visit this place many more times in the future. I first visited the Ginza branch. I remembered how delicious the lunch was, so I decided to try the Kyoto branch. I was surprised at how cheap the dinner was. The taste was consistent with Sushisei, and the red miso soup was also very delicious. I plan to use this restaurant frequently in the future.

I used the lunch menu and ordered a bottle of beer, as well as various items on the chef's recommendation. It is recommended to sit at the counter and have the sushi prepared in front of you for this kind of authentic Edo-style experience. The service at the restaurant was good. However, the sushi pieces and rice portions were on the smaller side, so if you want to feel full, you may need to order a decent amount.

It's been a few years. I lined up 15 minutes before opening on a weekday and was about 10th in line. The line continued to grow, reaching about 20 people. There were even people with strollers. They asked if I wanted to sit at the counter or a table. The counter is popular. I waited inside the restaurant for about 40 minutes after lining up before opening. I ordered the "Jou Sushi" and the chef talked to me. The dishes came out in the order of the photos. The fatty tuna and regular tuna had a satisfying taste. The shrimp was also delicious. The salmon roe was top quality. I ordered 3 more pieces as an extra. Including a beer, the total was 4400 yen. The "Jou Sushi" was around 2350 yen, but I didn't feel it was worth that price. The good points are that they take various orders and have a variety of toppings, and the prices are not too high. There were available tables, so it seems like you don't have to wait as long if you choose to sit there.

In front of Kyoto Daimaru, there is Tsukiji Sushi Sei, a sister store of Sushi Sei in Tsukiji. It is an affordable restaurant where you can enjoy sushi on a regular basis. During the renovation of the restaurant area in Daimaru, a special menu was created, offering a 1.5 times larger sushi set for only 1,500 yen. It was a delicious and satisfying meal at a great price!

Located on Kawaramachi Street, just north of Shijo Street, Tsukiji Sushi Kiyomizu Edo-style Sushi is a restaurant where you can enjoy sushi at a reasonable price. In addition to daily recommendations and classic toppings, there are set menus available, allowing you to enjoy a meal at a very affordable price by choosing according to your preferences. This is a much appreciated restaurant!

They offer set menus, but you can also order your favorite sushi pieces individually. The pricing is transparent and reasonable, so you can feel at ease dining here!

I went to the Yoimoyama during the Gion Festival to see the floats, but it was incredibly crowded. I decided to have lunch at the new SUINA Machiya, but the line was too long so I gave up. I managed to find a place to eat lunch safely. I ordered the lunch set. The food was consistently delicious and the service was great. Thank you for the meal.

Cost-effective and casual sushi restaurant that is easy to enter. Located in Daimaru Higashi-kan, it is frequented by older customers and can be visited conveniently while shopping. It's difficult to make reservations on weekends, so I always line up before opening. I wonder if it's because of the sushi chef, but even though everyone orders with wasabi, I always end up with a lot of wasabi (sweating). While the two people who ordered the seasonal nigiri were fine, I was the only one who struggled with the special selection nigiri (tears). I usually order a set with a small amount and then add individual pieces, which I think is reasonable for sushi. During the pandemic, I noticed that they have good ventilation with the exhaust fan running, fewer tables, and transparent partitions, making it easier to visit during these times. The lunch and dinner menus and prices are the same.

While at the Apple Store, I decided to have lunch. I had the premium sushi for ¥2,860 without egg. It was so good that I felt like I was in Tsukiji Market in Kyoto! They also accept PayPay.

There might be good location, but considering the food, it's not satisfying in terms of cost performance.

At the end of the year, I was really looking forward to it. The counter was full of drunk people, right? I'm jealous of the people in cars, but I had lunch at a table (crying) because I was starving. I gobbled it all up (lol). It was a bit more expensive compared to weekday lunches, but it was delicious.

I stopped by a sushi restaurant on my way back from shopping at Daimaru on Shijo Street. I ordered 1.5 servings of tuna, salmon, amberjack, shrimp, tamago, dried gourd roll, burdock roll, and conger eel. It was a good choice both in terms of price and satisfaction. For dessert, I had warabi mochi.

I ordered the special lunch set, which came with red miso soup and matcha bracken-starch dumplings on the side. It was delicious.

Lunch outside of regular hours. I wanted to drink during the day, so I asked for some random dishes to go with it. It's always like that, but there are never any misses. The atmosphere, taste, and service are all excellent. Actually, I haven't eaten sushi that much (laughs)

The prices are not too high and the taste is decent. I think it's quite a good deal to sit at the counter and eat. The seasonal nigiri costs 1,728 yen. It's better than slightly more expensive conveyor belt sushi. The warabi mochi dessert is not of high quality to serve to people from Kyoto.
