You can choose from 6 main dishes, all incorporating plenty of Ohara vegetables for a healthy option. For an additional 50 yen, you can switch to six-grain rice. The Kagoshima pork loin is served with a Yuzu pepper sauce that combines a rich buttery flavor with a hint of spicy pepper, complementing the meat perfectly.
The owner of this restaurant has been cooking for 15 years in Kyoto, 7 years in Tokyo, and 7 years overseas, finally opening this establishment. Here, you can enjoy Obanzai dishes made with Kyoto Ohara vegetables and seasonal ingredients, all certified organic and free from pesticides and chemical fertilizers. This restaurant offers delicious obanzai dishes made with organic JAS certified ingredients, free from pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The lunch set comes with an obanzai box with 6 different dishes. This time, I chose the "Charcoal-grilled Tanba chicken" as the main dish. Opening the obanzai box reveals a colorful array of small dishes: stir-fried bell peppers and dried baby sardines, carrots and dried squid in soy sauce, deep-fried shrimp with almonds, burdock root with seaweed, boiled komatsuna greens with fried tofu, and sweet potato tempura. Each dish is delicious, and the Tanba chicken skewers are incredibly juicy and flavorful. It was a satisfying experience enjoying these Kyoto specialties. I definitely want to try their dinner menu next time because the food was so delicious.

The atmosphere inside the store is very calm and comfortable!! The natural light is lovely. The flat pure white sofa, wood dining table, chairs. Exciting. I was soothed by the cold water they brought as soon as I sat down☆ I couldn't decide between the lunch menu options A to F, but ended up choosing the popular grilled chicken skewers from option C lol. I came for the obanzai box, but everything was very satisfying ( ¯﹀¯ )

At first, I was attracted to this restaurant while browsing Instagram because it looked so photogenic. But as I looked into it, I found out that it is actually a delicious restaurant, so I made a reservation right away. It is located just one minute walk from Shijo Street, behind Fujii Daimaru. Although it seemed like you could walk in without a reservation on the day I visited, it's probably better to make a reservation just in case. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff are great, making it a very comfortable place to dine. You can choose your main dish, but everyone around me seemed to go for the chicken (laughs). You can't go wrong with that choice!

I was worried about whether I could have lunch at Gion Matsuri Yoiyama without a reservation, but I called ahead and visited. It was stylish and full of vegetables. The chicken was tender and easy to eat. The fried rice was fancy! The two of us who can drink beer had a drink at lunch. The top left of the box said "eggplant", but it was crunchy and definitely not eggplant, but I ate it without knowing what it was. As long as it's delicious, it's all good (laughs). I'll invite my sister here next time she comes to Kyoto.

Visited the restaurant for lunch with a friend. The place was bright and clean. We chose a set meal with side dishes and a main dish. The side dishes were neatly arranged in drawers, with the main dish placed on top. The side dishes were all intricately prepared and delicious, while the main dishes we had were hamburger and charcoal-grilled chicken. The chicken was juicy and the presentation was innovative. Not only the food, but even the plates on the table were KIHARA Arita ware, showing attention to detail. The food was skillfully prepared and truly delicious. The only downside was that the miso soup was a bit different compared to the other dishes.

We saw a unique lunch on an open SNS in September 2022 and fell in love at first sight, so we invited friends and went to eat. The C Plate costs ¥2,310 (tax included). The first thing that catches your eye is the hanging skewers. This one is charcoal-grilled Tanba chicken. The charred surface looks delicious. The meat is tender and juicy. What tickles my heart is the "Obanzai BOX" with six types of obanzai in a drawer. It includes dishes like spinach with sesame dressing and kinpira, using plenty of Kyoto vegetables, making it healthy. It also comes with multigrain rice and miso soup. There is also a counter seat for authentic teppanyaki, making it a unique combination of obanzai and teppanyaki grill dishes. The lunch menu offers a variety of options from A to G. It is conveniently located about a 2-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, if you take the 10th exit. ❤️
