Carefully selected high-quality ingredients. The wine that pairs well with the prosciutto was chosen, and the orange accompanying the crepe was exquisite. You can enjoy excellent dishes that you can't taste anywhere else here. The cafe au lait is essentially a cafe latte and is also delicious.

I had a Montagnarde galette, a chocolate banana crepe, and a green salad at a creperie at the entrance to the path of philosophy. The caramelized banana was crispy and fragrant, and my daughter enjoyed a large crepe. The Montagnarde galette had a salty accent from the prosciutto, and I felt like having some vegetables, so we ordered a green salad and enjoyed it together. It was delicious.

On the way back from Reikan-ji Temple, I stopped by a restaurant. The inside was full, so I sat at the terrace seat in the back. It was a sunny day and I was worried about getting sunburned and it was hot. It would be nice to have some shade. Both the savory crepe and the sweet crepe were delicious. I would like to try a different menu next time.

Reservation visit at 14:15 for the spring limited course "Munyusakura" for ¥3,150. The menu includes cold vichyssoise soup with galette, white asparagus crepe with cherry blossom ice cream, and sweet cider (2% alcohol). It is recommended to make a reservation in advance as the restaurant was fully booked with a sign posted outside. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is filled with foreign tourists. The appetizer soup is rich yet easy to drink, with the texture of soba adding a nice touch. The galette has a slightly strong saltiness in the dough, which I personally enjoyed. The contrast between the tenderness of the white asparagus and the crunchiness of the snap peas in the dish is delightful. The dessert crepe with cherry blossom ice cream is surprisingly delicious, with a good balance of sweetness and a distinct cherry blossom flavor. It is a simple yet perfect spring treat. Nearby, the Philosopher's Walk will be hosting a cherry blossom festival starting from April 1st. This creperie is highly recommended for a visit after enjoying the cherry blossoms!

A shop located a short walk from Nanzen-ji. I made a reservation, so I was able to get a table right away, but it seems to be a popular place. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but the atmosphere is luxurious and you can enjoy your meal in style. I was torn between the menu options, but ended up choosing a course for around 3000 yen. It included a drink, soup, main dish (galette), and dessert. The dishes were served slowly, so I ended up feeling quite full. I could also choose a salad for the first course. After visiting Eikan-do Temple, I felt like having some tea. I wandered around and luckily found a cafe to go to! I managed to get a seat on the terrace. It seems like a creperie. There's a French vibe, giving it a certain branch feel. Later I found out it's the first Kansai branch of a creperie produced by Kagurazaka Le Bretagne. I'm not really into galettes, so I went for a crepe instead. The seasonal Crepe Tatin looks tempting. I might try that. I plan to ask my friend to order something different so I can have a bite too. The Kyoto-style crepe looks interesting. As for drinks, I'll have black tea, while my friend ordered cider. Galettes go well with cider, but we're having crepes this time. It took a while, but our drinks and crepes arrived. The Crepe Tatin looks delicious with a moist, chewy base topped with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, caramelized apples, a hint of cinnamon, and a slightly bitter caramel sauce. It's a sophisticated dessert. My friend's Kyoto-style crepe with matcha ice cream and sweet red bean paste looks okay. Maybe French-style items are their specialty. The cider looks beautiful with a smoky flavor. I tried a sip and it was delicious. I should have ordered cider too. This place seems like it's going to be trendy. It was a satisfying meal.

On Sunday at 11:30, I visited Crêperie Kyoto, the Bratz Café, which I had reserved through Tabelog. I ordered the Menu du Kyoto for 2,280 yen, which included a galette, salad, and drink set. Since I had plans to explore Higashiyama that day, I made a reservation in advance as it was a Sunday. The Bratz Café has relocated from Sanjo Shotengai and transformed into a townhouse café. It has a modern Japanese atmosphere and serves Breton cuisine. It's a unique combination but an interesting fusion. The brunch started with a toast of cider, and I had a great time enjoying the meal. You can also purchase cider and items from the shop. I recommend this place in between visits to Eikando and Nanzenji temples. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today, I went to a cafe near Eikando in Kyoto. BREIZH Cafe Creperie originated in the port town of Cancale in the Brittany region of France. It is a place that serves galettes and crepes. They have a few locations in France and Japan, and this one in Kyoto seems to be the only one in Kansai. The cafe is located in a renovated traditional Kyoto townhouse, giving it a charming and lovely atmosphere. There is also a courtyard, which is beautiful. The staff were attentive and there were plenty of them. I chose to sit at the counter in front of the crepe maker. The galettes are all made with 100% buckwheat flour, as galettes originated in the Brittany region. The cafe is popular for allowing customers to enjoy the authentic taste of galettes. I ordered the "Pretz Roll Montagnarde Roll," which is a type of galette. It was served in a covered dish, and when I opened it, I was delighted by the colorful galette inside. This galette roll is made with 100% buckwheat flour and filled with Swiss Raclette cheese, onion cider confit, and rolled with Basque ham on top. The texture of the dough is chewy, and the Kyoto black seven spice adds a nice touch. The confit onion in cider and the buckwheat flavor create an interesting combination. I enjoyed it with a non-alcoholic cider. The organic apple juice from Brittany, France, had a slight carbonation and a refreshing apple flavor, making it a perfect match for the meal. The combination of authentic galettes and cider is wonderful. I found a lovely cafe and I look forward to visiting again soon.

On October 20th, Bretz Café Crêperie Kyoto opened in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. This crepe specialty shop offers French cider and other alcoholic beverages, as well as galettes made from 100% buckwheat flour. The shop has relocated and renovated a townhouse on the approach to Kumano Wakaoji Shrine, from Sanjo Street to the Philosopher's Path. The interior is a mix of traditional Japanese and modern styles, creating a lovely atmosphere. I tried the D'Amboise and the gentle sweetness of the pear with Earl Grey-scented caramel Boule Sale. The pear compote, Earl Grey caramel ice cream, and whipped cream crepe was chewy and delicious. The Earl Grey caramel ice cream was stretchy like Turkish ice cream, and it was the first time I had such delicious ice cream. The pear compote was sweeter than the ice cream, so I recommend starting with the caramel ice cream. I definitely want to go back! Highly recommended. More details will be posted later. The galette, crepe, and drinks were all delicious beyond expectations. I had visited a different creperie a few days ago, so I unintentionally ended up comparing them, which made me appreciate the flavors even more. The atmosphere of the shop was calm and very nice.

I had the sugar butter crepe! It was chewy, fragrant, simple, and very delicious! The staff were also very kind!
